Baez went 2-for-4 with a walk, a home run and three RBI in Saturday's 8-3 win over the White Sox.

Baez's two-run shot in the first inning off Lucas Giolito gave him 34 homers on the year, putting him one behind Matt Carpenter for the NL lead, while his 110 RBI pace the Senior Circuit, six ahead of Jesus Aguilar. The Cubs' infielder remains in the thick of the MVP conversation as the team looks to lock up another division title.

Anderson went 1-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and two runs scored in Saturday's 8-3 loss to the Cubs.

Anderson's third-inning shot was his 20th homer of the season, giving him the first 20-20 season (homers, steals) of his career. The 25-year-old shortstop has made strides in 2018: taking more walks, striking out less and improving his defense. His batting average and on-base percentage, however, remain on the low side. A little more plate discipline may be in order. Anderson swings at 40.7 percent of the pitches he sees outside the zone (190th out of 202 players with 400 plate appearances). That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it can be when a player isn't making consistent enough contact.

Gordon went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer Saturday against the Rangers.

Gordon took Bartolo Colon deep in the eighth inning to record only his third home run of the season. Though it was his first home run since Aug. 15, the bigger disappointment comes from the fact that Gordon hasn't swiped a base during the first three weeks of September. His current stolen-base total (30) is exactly half what he stole last season.

Turner went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, a stolen base, and a two-run homer in a win over the Mets on Saturday.

Turner cleared the fences for the first time since Sept. 3. Between then and Saturday, he struggled to a .250/.354/.309 line. However, he now owns a 10-game hitting streak and has stolen five bases in that window, giving him an MLB-best 41 steals on the year. His speed will likely keep him in the conversation for a first-round fantasy pick in many 2019 leagues.

Bogaerts will be played sparingly over the remainder of the regular season, Michael Silverman of the Boston Herald reports.

Bogaerts was given Friday off, the first game after Boston clinched the AL East, as Brock Holt got the starting nod at shortstop. With just one win needed over the final eight games -- or one Astros loss over their final nine games -- to clinch home-field advantage, the Red Sox have the luxury of resting regulars. At the same time, manager Alex Cora wants to give the shortstop a chance to reach 100 RBI (the veteran currently stands at 95), so expect the manager to serve both goals.

Story (elbow) may not return over the weekend as initially expected, Nick Groke of The Athletic reports.

The Rockies are concerned with bringing Story back too soon, so they'll likely elect to hold him out for another day or two. Manager Bud Black stated there's no timeline for his return, so he'll be considered day-to-day until further information is provided regarding Story's availability.

Story (elbow) remains out of the lineup Friday in Arizona, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Previous reports held that the Rockies hoped Story could return at some point over the weekend series. That's still possible, but that return won't come at the start of Friday's contest. Garrett Hampson will start at shortstop in his absence.

Bogaerts isn't in Friday's starting nine against Cleveland, Evan Drellich of NBC Sports Boston reports.

Bogaerts will take a seat after going 0-for-4 with a walk and two strikeouts in Thursday's series finale against the Yankees. Brock Holt draws the nod at shortstop in his stead.

Correa is dealing with back soreness and will be held out for the entire weekend series against the Angels, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

Manager A.J. Hich noted Thursday that Correa wasn't feeling completely healthy, and it's since been announced that he won't play this weekend. The Astros are likely proceeding with caution with the playoffs right around the corner. More news on Correa's availability following this weekend should surface in the coming days.

Diaz is out of the lineup for Friday's game agianst Tampa Bay, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Diaz will take a seat after starting the last three games and is slashing .308/.333/.538 in September. Yangervis Solarte will start at third base and bat seventh for the Blue Jays on Friday.
