Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU
Cardinals' Aledmys Diaz: Homers against Brewers
Diaz went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and two runs scored during Wednesday's loss to Milwaukee.
It isn't surprising that Diaz is struggling to repeat last season's numbers. He broke into the league with little pedigree and also cooled in the second half following a thumb injury. However, the shortstop has provided respectable numbers of late with a .300/.317/.550 slash line, two homers, four RBI and eight runs through his past 11 games.

Xander Bogaerts SS | SD
Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Drives in three Wednesday
Bogaerts went 2-for-5 with a double and three RBI in Wednesday's 7-3 win over the Phillies.
It's his fourth multi-hit performance in his last six games, and Bogaerts sports a .345/.367/.517 slash line over that stretch with four runs and four RBI. While his power production remains disappointing from a fantasy perspective -- the 24-year-old hasn't homered since May 30 and has just two on the year -- he still carries a career-high .457 SLG and .834 OPS.

Dee Strange-Gordon SS | WAS
Marlins' Dee Gordon: Drives in two, scores two, in win
Gordon went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and two RBI in Wednesday's win over the A's.
By adding two hits Wednesday, the leadoff man now ranks 12th in the National League in hits. Gordon's owners love to see the speedy second baseman getting on base so he can run. He currently ranks third in the majors with 21 stolen bases in 24 attempts.

Zach Walters SS | KC
Royals' Zach Walters: Acquired by Royals
Walters was acquired by the Royals on Wednesday, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
Walters came to the Royals from the Kansas City T-Bones of the Independent League. The 27-year-old spent some time with the Reds' Triple-A affiliate early in the season, but he was let go after slashing .174/.208/.239 in 48 plate appearances. The switch-hitter hasn't been assigned to a minor-league affiliate yet.

Allen Cordoba SS | CIN
Padres' Allen Cordoba: Sits out Wednesday
Cordoba is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Reds.
With the red-hot Jose Pirela settling into an everyday role in left field, it looks like Cordoba's easiest path to playing time these days will come at shortstop, where neither Erick Aybar nor Chase d'Arnaud have provided much production this season. Cordoba had started at shortstop in the previous two contests, but he'll give way to Aybar in the season finale with manager Andy Green not yet willing to give up on the veteran turning things around.

Taylor Featherston SS | MIN
Rays' Taylor Featherston: Smacks first homer since 2015
Featherston went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 8-1 win over the Blue Jays.
The 27-year-old utility man, just traded to the Rays last Friday, launched his first round tripper at the big-league level since 2015 in the third to open the scoring on the night. Featherston is currently projected to see occasional playing time around the infield as needed, with Tuesday's start part of the domino effect of Tim Beckham sitting with some knee soreness.
-
Carlos Correa SS | HOU
Astros' Carlos Correa: Swats 12th homer Tuesday
Correa went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to Texas.
Correa is at the top of his position with 12 home runs and 41 RBI while posting an .879 OPS, second only to the Reds' Zack Cozart. Batting cleanup in what has been one of baseball's best offenses, a healthy Correa should make a push for his first 100-RBI season in 2017.
-
Javier Baez SS | DET
Cubs' Javier Baez: Takes seat Tuesday
Baez is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Mets.
Baez is 0-for-10 with five strikeouts over his last four games, so he'll head to the bench to clear his head. Ian Happ will start at second base in his stead, batting second.
-
Tim Anderson 2B | LAA
White Sox's Tim Anderson: Hits bench Tuesday
Anderson is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Orioles.
Anderson is starting to figure things out at the plate, although he'll get a night off after 17 straight starts at shortstop. Yolmer Sanchez will slide over to fill in for him at short while Alen Hanson picks up a start at the keystone to round out the infield.

Aledmys Diaz 1B | HOU
Cardinals' Aledmys Diaz: Out of Game 1 lineup
Diaz is out of the lineup for Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Brewers.
Greg Garcia will draw the start at shortstop, hitting eighth against rookie right-hander Brandon Woodruff, who is making his big-league debut. Look for Diaz to get back in the mix in the nightcap against righty Jimmy Nelson.
