Ahmed is out of the lineup Sunday against the Giants.

Ahmed will be replaced at shortstop by regular center fielder Chris Owings, while manager Chip Hale gives Chris Herrmann the start in center. It's a bit of an unorthodox lineup shuffle, so look for Ahmed and his .175/.239/.278 slash line to be back in action for Monday's series opener against the Yankees. That being said, Ahmed could be in line for more regular days off in the near future, according to Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic. With Michael Bourn now on the active roster, Owings could be in line to see more starts at shortstop, with those starts likely coming at Ahmed's expense.

Crawford (neck) is back in the lineup Sunday against the Diamondbacks.

Crawford was held out of Saturday's lineup due to a stiff neck, but it appears a day off helped give the ailment time to subside, as he'll return to action Sunday afternoon. The 29-year-old shortstop is currently posting a .730 OPS through 37 games as he attempts to follow up a 2015 All-Star campaign.

O'Malley was called up from Triple-A Tacoma and will start Sunday's game in center field.

O'Malley impressed at Triple-A after a solid spring, batting .317 with a .412 OBP for Tacoma. The Mariners optioned Luis Sardinas, who has four hits in 26 at-bats and only started twice in May. O'Malley likely will be in a similar role, though if he contributes at the plate he'll get more opportunities than Sardinas.

Sardinas, who scored as a pinch runner Saturday, was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday.

Sardinas found it tough to get into games recently, playing four games in May and starting twice. Shawn O'Malley was recalled and will play a similar role. Sardinas, who won the utility job in spring training over O'Malley, likely will be back up at some point.

Seager went 3-for-4 with a homer, a run and two RBI on Saturday against the Cardinals.

Seager's RBI single in the fifth inning gave the Dodgers a lead they'd never relinquish, and his seventh homer, which came in the seventh inning, gave the team an insurance run. He's now posted multiple hits in five of his last eight games, and his slash line sits at .283/.342/.457.

Bogaerts went 3-for-6 with a double, RBI and three runs scored in Saturday's 6-5 extra-inning victory over the Astros.

Bogaerts and teammate Jackie Bradley seem to be playing a high-stakes game of one-upsmanship, much to the delight of the Red Sox and their fans. The performance marked the shortstop's sixth straight multi-hit effort, and ninth of the month overall. He's also working on a nine-game hitting streak, and is now slashing .407/.421/.593 over 54 at-bats in May.

Correa went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in Saturday's 6-5 extra-inning loss to the Red Sox.

The 21-year-old went deep for the first time since May 6 versus the Mariners, and tallied his second multi-hit game in the last four contests. Correa now has half of his six homers on the year in May, and is slashing .275/.387/.457 on the season.

Crawford has a stiff neck, which is why he is not in the lineup Saturday, the San Jose Mercury News' Andrew Baggarly reports.

Manager Bruce Bochy said Crawford is healthy enough to play, but given the minor ailment he will get a day off. It's unfortunate, as this was primed to be an ideal matchup for Crawford against a righty (Eddie Butler) in Coors Field, but getting him fully healthy is more important in the long run. Kelby Tomlinson is starting at shortstop and hitting eighth Saturday.

Bogaerts went 2-for-5 with a double in Friday night's loss to Houston. He extended his hitting streak to eight games (15-for-37) and has five consecutive multi-hit games (11-for-24).

Bogaerts is following a similar trajectory in 2016 as he did last season -- a middling start in the cooler months before breaking out in the warmer weather -- only this year, he's accelerated the pace. In 2015, it wasn't until June that he started heating up and that wasn't nearly to the degree of his 2016 performance. Here in 2016, after posting a .784 OPS in April, Bogaerts has elevated that figure to 1.014 in May.
