David Hamilton SS | MIL
Red Sox's David Hamilton: Steals base in win
Hamilton went 0-for-4 with a walk, a run scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Astros.
Hamilton led off the fourth inning with a walk, stole second base and scored on a single. The theft was his team-leading 32nd, placing him one ahead of Jarren Duran, who has jockeyed with Hamilton in that category the last two months. Following a cold spell coming out of the All-Star break, Hamilton has put up strong August numbers, posting a line of .302/.375/.535 over 14 contests.

Geraldo Perdomo SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Logs two walks, steal in win
Perdomo batted second and went 0-for-2 with two walks and a stolen base in Tuesday's 3-1 win over Miami.
Perdomo logged his fifth steal of the season in the eighth inning but was stranded at second base. Tuesday's contest marked the fourth time in the last nine games in which Perdomo slotted into the upper third of the lineup. He typically bats eighth or ninth, but a strong month of August (.302/.389/.413) could get Perdomo more opportunities higher in the order.

Carlos Correa SS | HOU
Twins' Carlos Correa: Still no timetable for return
Correa (heel) ran Tuesday and has been hitting and fielding, but there's still no timetable for his return, Phil Miller of the Minnesota Star Tribune reports. "He's still having some discomfort. As cliche as it sounds, it's truly day-to-day on how he's going to feel and what we can do with him," said Twins head athletic trainer Nick Paparesta.
Correa was placed on the 10-day injured list July 20 due to right plantar fasciitis. It initially didn't appear he would be out long, but he still has soreness after running. He may not return until sometime in September as a result.

Brayan Rocchio SS | CLE
Guardians' Brayan Rocchio: Fills stat sheet in win
Rocchio went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's 9-5 extra-innings win over the Yankees.
This was the first time in Rocchio's major-league career he homered and swiped a bag in the same game. Despite the fantastic effort, the steal was his first since May, and he entered Tuesday having gone just 4-for-24 over his previous 10 games. On the season, the 23-year-old is hitting .210 with six home runs, 27 RBI, 40 runs scored and nine stolen bases across 344 plate appearances.

Bobby Witt SS | KC
Royals' Bobby Witt: Three-hit effort in loss
Witt went 3-for-5 with two doubles, one RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 9-5 loss to the Angels.
Witt's on another heater at the plate, having gone 15-for-35 (.429) during a nine-game hitting streak. In that span, he's added eight extra-base hits, eight RBI and 11 runs scored, though he hasn't stolen a base since Aug. 2. The superstar shortstop is up to a .352/.401/.618 slash line with 25 home runs, 25 steals, 92 RBI, 110 runs scored, 37 doubles and 11 triples over 126 contests this season.

Zachary Neto SS | LAA
Angels' Zach Neto: Homers again in win
Neto went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 9-5 win over the Royals.
Neto's impressive August continued with his sixth homer in 17 contests this month. He's also batting .299 (20-for-67) with 16 RBI and 11 runs scored in that span. The shortstop is up to a .262/.327/.466 slash line with 19 homers, 63 RBI, 57 runs scored, 22 stolen bases and 27 doubles across 122 games this season. While the Angels' lineup isn't anything special, Neto should continue to provide well-rounded production out of the No. 2 spot in the order as he has since Luis Rengifo (wrist) exited the lineup Aug. 3.

C.J. Abrams SS | WAS
Nationals' CJ Abrams: Homers in loss
Abrams went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Rockies.
Abrams provided the Nationals' only offense when he took Austin Gomber deep in the bottom of the sixth inning. The shortstop has gone just 7-for-34 over his past 10 games but has tallied a homer and three steals in his most recent two. On the season, he is hitting .248 with 18 long balls, 60 RBI, 72 runs scored and 25 steals across 514 plate appearances.

Dansby Swanson SS | CHC
Cubs' Dansby Swanson: Homers in win Tuesday
Swanson went 1-for-2 with a walk and a solo home run in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Tigers.
The Cubs only mustered five total hits, but Swanson provided the big jolt of the night as he popped his 10th home run of the season and first since July 11. The shortstop had at least 20 long balls in each of the last three years, though he's running out of time to reach that mark in 2024. On a more positive note, Swanson is at least batting .302 this month.

Jose Caballero 2B | NYY
Rays' Jose Caballero: Not starting Tuesday
Caballero is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Athletics, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Caballero has a .209/.265/.372 slash line through 15 games in August and will sit for Tuesday's contest. Taylor Walls will receive the start at shortstop versus Oakland righty Joey Estes.

Ha-seong Kim 2B | ATL
Padres' Ha-Seong Kim: Goes on injured list
The Padres placed Kim on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with right shoulder inflammation.
Kim received somewhat favorable MRI results after he jammed his shoulder during Sunday's game against Colorado, but the team ultimately decided to put him on the shelf after further evaluation. Tyler Wade will presumably take over as the Padres' primary shortstop while Kim is out, and Matthew Batten will come up from Triple-A to provide additional depth in the infield.
