Moore went 2-for-3 with a three-run double, another two-bagger, a stolen base and a walk in a win over the Red Sox on Tuesday.

The hot-hitting Moore delivered a clutch double in the fifth inning with the Mariners having just forged a one-run lead, driving home Jorge Polanco, Victor Robles (hip) and Randy Arozarena. The double pushed Moore's RBI total to seven over his last five games, while also extending his hitting streak to five games. The 31-year-old has started putting good wood on the ball again following a quiet stretch earlier in July, as he's laced four doubles in the last three contests alone.

Caballero will start at third base and bat fifth in Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Caballero's time as an everyday player appeared to have reached its end when Yandy Diaz returned from the restricted list Friday, but the Rays' decision to trade away Randy Arozarena to the Mariners looks to have kept Caballero's window for playing time open. He'll be part of the lineup for the fourth time in five games since Diaz's return.

Sosa will start at shortstop and will bat sixth in Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

Sosa will pick up just his fourth start since the All-Star break while he checks in for Trea Turner, who is getting rest for the day game after playing all 12 innings in the Phillies' 7-6 loss Tuesday night. While the Phillies have all their key position players at full strength, Sosa will continue to handle a utility role and won't benefit from consistent playing time.

Turner is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

Turner will join fellow lineup regulars Bryson Stott, J.T. Realmuto and Brandon Marsh on the bench while manager Rob Thomson gives all four players rest for the day game after a night game. Edmundo Sosa will step in at shortstop for Turner, who had started every contest since the All-Star break while slashing .167/.231/.292 with two home runs and one stolen base.

The Orioles recalled Holliday from Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday. He'll start at second base and bat eighth in the Orioles' series finale with the Blue Jays.

Holliday struggled mightily during his first stint in the big leagues, hitting .059 with zero home runs and 18 strikeouts in 10 games. However, he's slashed .271/.431/.477 with 10 home runs, eight steals and a 77:75 K:BB in 73 games for Norfolk and is ready for another opportunity. Holliday should play regularly at the keystone, at least against right-handed pitching.

Perdomo went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 17-0 win over the Nationals.

Perdomo joined the Diamondbacks' 22-hit attack with his second straight multi-hit game. He drove in Arizona's third run with a single then doubled home the team's 13th tally. Following an eight-game stretch during which Perdomo batted .115 (3-for-26) without an RBI, the shortstop and ninth-place hitter has driven in five runs over the last four contests.

Newman went 2-for-5 with a steal and two runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Nationals.

Newman logged his second straight two-hit game and swiped his fourth bag of the year and his first since June 13. He got the start at first base, but his path to extra playing time may have been closed off by the Diamondbacks' acquisition of Josh Bell from the Marlins on Tuesday to fill the void left by Christian Walker's oblique injury. Newman will continue to play a utility role off the bench for the most part, and he is now slashing .277/.307/.385 with two homers, 22 RBI, 31 runs and a 10:32 BB:K in 229 plate appearances.

Rocchio hit a solo home run in his lone at-bat in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Tigers.

Rocchio went yard in the ninth inning to produce the Guardians' last run of the contest. The shortstop has seen a reduced role in July, with Daniel Schneemann picking up playing time, but Schneemann has just three hits over eight games since the All-Star break. Rocchio hasn't been much better, going 3-for-22 with three RBI over 12 contests in the same span. For the year, Rocchio is at a .204/.295/.300 slash line with four homers, 20 RBI, 36 runs scored and seven stolen bases across 300 plate appearances. Cleveland didn't do anything to bolster its infield at the trade deadline, though Angel Martinez -- who has played primarily in the outfield -- or Tyler Freeman could be options at shortstop if the platoon of Schneemann and Rocchio continues to struggle.

Tovar went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, an additional RBI and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 10-7 loss to the Angels.

Tovar provided the Rockies' last run with a solo shot in the seventh inning. It was his second multi-hit effort in a row, and it extended his hitting streak to 16 games, a span in which he's lifted six homers and driven in 15 runs. Tovar is up to a .290/.315/.493 slash line with 18 long balls, 52 RBI, 57 runs scored and four stolen bases over 105 contests this year.

The Orioles are expected to recall Holliday from Triple-A Norfolk ahead of Wednesday's game versus the Blue Jays, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

He was scratched from the Triple-A Norfolk lineup Tuesday after Connor Norby was traded to the Marlins, so Holliday could be Baltimore's starting second baseman in the series finale with the Blue Jays. The promotion isn't yet official, but Holliday should play regularly while he's up with the big club. The 20-year-old middle infielder is slashing .271/.431/.477 with 10 home runs, eight steals and a 77:75 K:BB in 73 games for Norfolk. He hit .059 with zero home runs and 18 strikeouts in 10 games in the majors earlier this season.
