Henderson saw an eight-game hitting streak snapped Friday, but he bounced right back with his first three-hit effort since July 19. The shortstop batted .276 in July, just a touch worse than his .288 average through 110 contests overall. For the season, he's added a .934 OPS, 67 RBI, 90 runs scored, 28 home runs, 14 stolen bases, 22 doubles and six triples. With Colton Cowser getting more run atop the order versus right-handers and short-side platoon specialist Austin Slater getting a look at leadoff versus southpaw Joey Cantillo on Saturday, Henderson has been hitting third in the order, which gives him a better chance to generate RBI.

Walls went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Astros.

Walls recorded just his fifth hit in his last 16 games. Despite the struggles with getting on base, he's logged three steals during his slump, in part thanks to drawing eight walks over those contests. He's posted a punchless .156/.277/.193 slash line with no home runs, six steals, four RBI and 12 runs scored over 130 plate appearances this year. He appears to still be the Rays' preferred shortstop despite adding nothing with the bat and also being a poor fielder -- per Statcast, he has recorded a -4 mark in Outs Above Average in his first year exclusively at the position.

The Dodgers are hopeful that Betts (hand) will be ready to return from the 10-day injured list during their next road trip, which begins Aug. 12 in Milwaukee, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Betts has been out since mid-June after suffering a fracture in his left wrist/hand, but he took batting practice with the team Wednesday. The Dodgers will begin their next road trip in Milwaukee with a four-game set with the Brewers before playing three games in St. Louis. If the timeline holds true, Betts will likely begin a minor-league rehab assignment in the coming days.

Volpe went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Saturday's 8-3 win over the Blue Jays.

Volpe hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning and added an RBI single in the seventh. The shortstop is enjoying an eight-game hit streak in which he has homered four times and logged five multi-hit efforts. On the season, he is batting .261 with 11 homers, 44 RBI, 72 runs scored and 19 steals across 500 plate appearances.

Correa (heel) jogged and participated in fielding drills Saturday, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.

Although the plantar fasciitis in Correa's right heel has lingered longer than initially expected, he said Saturday that he has started to feel much better over the past few days. Once he's able to sprint without any pain, he will head on a minor-league rehab assignment, though the Twins haven't yet provided an estimate for when that may commence.

Wisely isn't in the Giants' lineup for Saturday's game against Cincinnati, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Wisely has gone 2-for-12 with two RBI over his past seven games, and he'll now get a chance to rest as the Giants prepare to take on Hunter Greene and the Reds. Casey Schmitt will get the nod at second and bat ninth.

Hamilton is out of the starting lineup for Saturday's contest against Texas, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

The lefty-hitting Hamilton will begin Saturday's game on the bench with the Rangers sending southpaw Cody Bradford to the mound. Romy Gonzalez will start at second base and bat third.

The Tigers optioned Kreidler to Triple-A Toledo on Saturday.

Kreidler appeared in two games for the big club after being called up from Toledo on Monday, going 1-for-4 with a stolen base. For the season, he's slashing .136/.208/.205 with three stolen bases, one home run and two RBI across 48 major-league plate appearances. The move makes room on the Tigers' 26-man roster for Parker Meadows (hamstring), who was reinstated from the 10-day injured list.

Schmitt went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-0 win over the Reds.

Schmitt's lone hit of the game opened the scoring in the second inning, and it was all the run support Blake Snell needed in his no-hitter. Over four contests since rejoining the major-league roster, Schmitt has gone 3-for-11 with two home runs and a triple. The infielder doesn't have an immediate path to everyday playing time, especially when he has Brett Wisely and Marco Luciano to compete with in the middle infield. For the season, Schmitt is slashing .231/.255/.519 with four homers, eight RBI, eight runs scored and no stolen bases over 55 plate appearances.

Rocchio went 2-for-3 with a walk, one RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Friday's 8-4 win over the Orioles.

Rocchio has started four of the last five games, suggesting he is clawing back some playing time from Daniel Schneemann, though the Guardians have faced three southpaws in that span. Over his last seven contests, Rocchio is 5-for-19 (.263) with two extra-base hits. He's at a .211/.304/.308 slash line with four home runs, eight steals, 21 RBI and 37 runs scored over 308 plate appearances this year. Cleveland has tried a number of players at shortstop in 2024, but the position remains up for grabs.
