Fitzgerald went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and an RBI double in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Rockies.

Fitzgerald has homered in each of his last two games, and he has five RBI over his last four. The utility man has played well in limited action this year, slashing .293/.348/.488 with three homers, seven stolen bases, nine RBI and 15 runs scored across 89 plate appearances. Fitzgerald has mostly been a short-side platoon option, but he'll stay in the lineup at shortstop Sunday versus Rockies right-hander Ryan Feltner, while Brett Wisely slides over to cover second base with Thairo Estrada resting.

The Athletics placed Wilson on the 10-day injured list Sunday due to a left hamstring strain.

The 22-year-old was promoted from Triple-A Las Vegas and made his MLB debut in Friday's 13-3 win over the Angels, only to exit the game early after tweaking his hamstring while running the bases upon reaching on a single in his first at-bat. Although the severity of the hamstring strain is unclear since the results of Wilson's MRI have yet to be disclosed, he'll be sidelined for at least the next nine days. Abraham Toro was activated from the IL in a corresponding move, while Max Scheumann is likely to take back over as Oakland's primary shortstop during Wilson's absence.

Caballero will start at third base and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Caballero has now started in each of the Rays' first three games out of the All-Star break, with two coming at third base and the other at second base. He looks as though he could have the opportunity to play regularly against both right- and left-handed pitching while infielder Yandy Diaz (personal) is on the restricted list and away from the team.

Tovar went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and two runs scored in Saturday's win over the Giants.

Tovar singled and scored in his first trip to the plate before adding a two-run shot in the fifth to put Colorado on top 4-2. It marked the shortstop's fifth consecutive multi-hit performance and his third game in a row with at least one home run. Tovar has also hit safely in eight consecutive games, batting .441 (15-for-34) over that stretch with four homers, four doubles, nine RBI and seven runs scored.

Cruz went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and three RBI in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Phillies.

The young shortstop carried the Pirates' offense, with his two-run homer in the eighth inning off Matt Strahm giving his club some valuable insurance. Cruz has collected multiple hits in three straight games and has driven in at least one run in four straight, and he's slashing .348/.380/.652 through 50 plate appearances in July with five doubles, three homers, a steal, eight runs and 14 RBI. Cruz also has a 2:16 BB:K on the month, but as long as he's crushing the ball when he does make contact, he'll be a valuable fantasy asset.

Witt went 3-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI in Saturday's 6-1 win against the White Sox.

Witt has come out of the All-Star break firing on all cylinders, going 6-for-7 with two extra-base hits (a homer and a double), three RBI and three runs through two contests. His span of excellence extends well before the break, though, as he's batting a magnificent .491 (27-for-55) with five homers, 13 RBI and 15 runs over his past 14 games. Witt's hot streak has pushed his season batting average up to .332, second only to Steven Kwan (.351) among qualified major-league hitters.

Hernaiz (ankle) started at designated hitter in Triple-A Las Vegas' loss to Salt Lake on Saturday, going 1-for-3 with a double.

The rookie infielder was logging his first game action since May 7 and put together an encouraging performance overall. Hernaiz figures to need an extensive rehab assignment given the amount of time he's been sidelined, and his next appearance with the Aviators may also see him play at least a partial game on defense.

Neto went 1-for-3 with an RBI and two stolen bases in Saturday's 8-2 loss to the Athletics.

Neto stole bags in the second and fourth innings and then hit an RBI double in the sixth. Over his past 10 games, the shortstop has logged two three-hit efforts with two homers and four steals. He has enjoyed a solid second season in the big leagues, batting .258 with 13 homers, 44 RBI, 39 runs scored and 16 steals across 353 plate appearances.

An MRI on Saturday revealed Bichette's right calf strain to be moderate, and he'll miss multiple weeks due to the injury, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Bichette strained his calf Friday for the second time this month and was placed on the 10-day injured list earlier Saturday. Further testing revealed the injury will require a multi-week absence, keeping the star shortstop sidelined into August. In his stead, Leo Jimenez should handle most of the shortstop work, though Addison Barger and Ernie Clement could mix in at the position.

Wisely isn't in the Giants' lineup for Saturday's game against the Rockies, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

With left-hander Kyle Freeland set to toe the slab for Colorado, the left-handed bat of Wisely will stay put in San Francisco's dugout. Tyler Fitzgerald will serve as the Giants' shortstop instead, batting ninth.
