Jimenez went 2-for-4 with two strikeouts in Sunday's loss to the Twins.

Getting the start at DH in place of George Springer (toe) and batting seventh, Jimenez laced singles to left field in the fourth and eighth innings. The 29-year-old hasn't provided meaningful production in a big-league lineup since 2023, and it's not yet clear if the Jays view Jimenez as an option to handle a significant role in Springer's absence, or if he'll be a convenient player to waive once Addison Barger (ankles) gets healthy.

Clement went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Sunday's loss to the Twins.

Moved up to the leadoff spot for the first time this season with George Springer (toe) out of action, Clement did an impressive job setting the table and scored Toronto's only two runs on the afternoon. The 30-year-old second baseman is slashing .311/.323/.393 through 15 games with five doubles, four RBI, five runs and a steal, and he could get a long look at the top of the order while Springer is sidelined.

Rays manager Kevin Cash said that Lux (shoulder) rolled his left ankle during an at-bat in a rehab game Saturday with Triple-A Durham, but the injury isn't "too severe," Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Lux has been on the shelf all season while recovering from a right shoulder impingement, but he now has a new injury to overcome before being cleared to make his Rays debut. While the ankle issue isn't considered a major concern and Lux is expected to resume his rehab assignment soon, the 28-year-old will need to pick up the pace at the dish before the Rays feel comfortable activating him from the 10-day injured list. Through his first nine games with Durham, Lux went just 3-for-29 (.103 average) with eight walks and 10 strikeouts.

Garcia (elbow) threw another side session Friday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports, and per MLB.com the veteran reliever is close to beginning a rehab assignment.

Garcia hasn't pitched in a big-league game since July 2 of last season, eventually undergoing surgery on his elbow in September to clean up scar tissue from a prior procedure. He's in the final stages of his recovery, and the Blue Jays remain optimistic the right-hander will be able to rejoin the bullpen by the end of April. Once he's activated and shakes off the rust, Garcia will provide another high-leverage bridge to closer Jeff Hoffman.

Barger (ankles) was no longer wearing a walking boot this weekend, and the Blue Jays remain optimistic he'll only need a minimum stay on the 10-day injured list, per MLB.com.

The right fielder managed to sprain both his ankles, the left more seriously, while attempting to beat out a groundball and landing awkwardly on first base, and his IL stint was backdated to April 6. Barger's had a very slow start to the season at the plate, going 1-for-19 with his only hit being a double, but the Jays could use him back as quickly as possible with George Springer (toe) having suffered his own, more serious injury Saturday. Barger could be eased into the lineup at DH as a result once he's activated.

Tolle allowed three hits and one walk while striking out six over five scoreless innings for Triple-A Worcester in a win over Columbus on Sunday.

Tolle breezed through his third start of the season and broke three Columbus bats in posting a second consecutive win. He was rocked in his first start for the WooSox but has shined since. After giving up six runs (four earned) over four innings in his season debut, the left-hander has allowed two runs (one earned) on seven hits and two walks while striking out 13 over 11 innings in two subsequent outings. Boston's rotation, which had a rough first 10 games to start the season, just completed an encouraging turn, so it doesn't look like Tolle will be heading east to Boston in the short term.

Crawford (wrist) allowed five runs on six hits and one walk while striking out five over three innings in a rehab start for Triple-A Worcester on Saturday.

Crawford began a rehab assignment with notable rust, but it wasn't all bad for the right-hander. He gave up three home runs, but was around the zone (43 strikes among 60 pitches). The Red Sox are expected to use up all the rehab time available to evaluate Crawford, who last pitched in 2024, before making a decision as to his next step.

Burger went 1-for-5 in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Dodgers.

Burger struck out in his first three plate appearances Sunday to extend a hitless run to 18 consecutive at-bats before a seventh-inning single ended the skid. Following a quick start out of the blocks, the cleanup batter has gone 5-for-39 (.128) over the last 10 games and has just one RBI in the last 11.

Smith went 2-for-5 with an RBI in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Dodgers. He was also caught stealing.

Smith had a run-scoring single in the third inning that snapped an RBI drought that grew to 10 games. The Rangers' primary second baseman did little through early in the season, going 3-for-32 (.094) with one RBI and zero runs scored over 10 games played. He's battled back since, going 5-for-14 with an RBI and two runs scored in four subsequent contests to raise his season average to .174. It appears that luck may have impacted his early-season troubles; Smith has a .211 BABIP, an expected batting average of .240 and a career-high 41.2 hard-hit percentage.

Schneemann started in center field and went 3-for-4 with two doubles in Sunday's 13-1 loss to Atlanta.

With Steven Kwan getting a rare day off, Schneemann entered the lineup for the first time in a week. He'd been getting regular opportunities over the first week of the season, but the hot-hitting Angel Martinez and the call-up of prospect Juan Brito reduced Schneeman's plate appearances as an outfielder or at second base. He's batting .265 (9-for-34) with six doubles, four RBI, one steal and four runs scored over 12 games played.
