Carpenter went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk and one run scored in Monday's 8-3 loss to the Athletics.

Carpenter has gone 4-for-30 (.133) over eight games since his last multi-hit effort. He was able to break out of the funk with the bat, though his performance didn't directly lead to much offense for the Tigers. The outfielder is up to a .264/.300/.524 slash line with 22 home runs, 50 RBI, 55 runs scored, 17 doubles, four triples and one stolen base over 103 games this season. He continues to see a large share of playing time between designated hitter and the corner-outfield spots.

Torres went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's 8-3 loss to the Athletics.

Torres opened the scoring with a solo shot in the sixth inning. The second baseman hadn't homered since Aug. 2 versus the Phillies, though he had gone a decent 7-for-26 (.269) over his previous seven games before his long ball Monday. Torres is up to a .262/.363/.405 slash line, 14 homers, 61 RBI, 67 runs scored, 19 doubles and four stolen bases over 117 contests this season.

Skubal (11-4) allowed six runs (one earned) on seven hits and struck out 12 without walking a batter over 6.2 innings to take the loss versus the Athletics on Monday.

Skubal didn't give up a run until the sixth inning, when he allowed one on a Jacob Wilson groundout. He stayed in to begin the seventh, and that proved to be a mistake, as Colby Thomas hit a solo shot and Shea Langeliers added a grand slam, although most of the damage to his ERA was mitigated by a Zach McKinstry error. This is just the fourth time all year that Skubal's given up multiple homers, though two of them have come in August. He's allowed 16 runs (11 earned) across 32.1 innings through five starts this month, which is an unusual stretch of middling performance for the dominant southpaw. On the bright side, he reached a double-digit total in strikeouts for the 10th time in 26 starts. Skubal still has a 2.28 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 212:25 K:BB through 166 innings this season. He'll look to bounce back this weekend in a road start versus the Royals.

Soderstrom went 3-for-4 with a double and one run scored in Monday's 8-3 win over the Tigers.

Soderstrom struggled versus Seattle pitching over the weekend, going 1-for-11 with four strikeouts over his previous three games. The 23-year-old put an end to that slump with a multi-hit effort Monday, his seventh such performance in 22 games in August, a month in which he's hitting .364 (28-for-77). Overall, Soderstrom has a .273/.347/.478 slash line with 23 home runs, 26 doubles, 74 RBI, 66 runs scored and seven stolen bases across 132 contests.

Kurtz hit a two-run home run in his lone at-bat in Monday's 8-3 win over the Tigers.

Kurtz was on the bench to begin this game against tough southpaw Tarik Skubal. Prior to Monday, Kurtz had gone 0-for-10 with two walks and four strikeouts over three games versus the Mariners. He was able to make an impact when he entered the game as a pinch hitter in the eighth inning, providing the Athletics' last runs of the game. The rookie first baseman is up to 27 long balls, 70 RBI, 66 runs scored, two stolen bases and a .308/398/.640 slash line through 91 contests this season, with his homer Monday being the 100th hit of his big-league career.

Thomas went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's 8-3 win over the Tigers.

Thomas went deep off Tarik Skubal in the seventh inning, sparking a rally for the Athletics that also saw Shea Langeliers hit a grand slam. Thomas is up to four homers this season, three of which have come over his last seven games. The rookie outfielder is at a .262/.299/.525 slash line with 13 RBI, 11 runs scored, two stolen bases and four doubles across 67 plate appearances, seeing time as a short-side platoon option.

Langeliers went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Monday's 8-3 win over the Tigers.

Langeliers took a tiring Tarik Skubal deep in the seventh inning to put the Athletics ahead for good. Over his last 14 games, Langeliers has launched seven homers and added 16 RBI while batting .226 (14-for-62). The catcher is up to 29 homers, 65 RBI, 58 runs scored, 22 doubles, five stolen bases and a .262/.308/.544 slash line through 100 contests this season, and he serves as the Athletics' leadoff hitter against southpaws.

Ginn allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out eight over 5.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Tigers on Monday.

Ginn matched zeroes with Tarik Skubal through five innings, but the Tigers struck first with three runs in the sixth. The Athletics were able to bounce back, getting Ginn off the hook after a fine but unremarkable performance. He's had mixed results since returning to the rotation in late July, allowing 19 runs (18 earned) over 32.1 innings with a 33:12 K:BB across his last seven outings. Overall, he has a 4.96 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 74:21 K:BB through 65.1 innings over 18 appearances (11 starts) this season. Injuries are piling up among the Athletics' starters, so Ginn can be penciled in for a home start versus the Rangers this weekend.

Raleigh went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 9-6 win over the Padres.

Raleigh is the first player to 50 home runs this season, and he's five ahead of Shohei Ohtani and Kyle Schwarber for the MLB lead through Monday's action. He also became the second switch hitter in MLB history to reach the 50-homer threshold, joining Hall of Famer Mickey Mantle in the exclusive club. With eight long balls over his last 16 games, Raleigh is on another one of the power surges that have propelled him into MVP contention. He's also supplied 107 RBI, 86 runs scored, 19 doubles and 14 stolen bases while batting .247 with a .949 OPS through 129 contests. With 30 games left on the schedule and the Mariners in the thick of the playoff race, Raleigh will likely continue to see enough playing time to give him a shot at the 60-home run mark.

Polanco went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, four RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 9-6 win over the Padres.

Polanco hit a two-run home run in the second inning and plated two more runs on a double in the fifth as the Mariners rallied for the lead. This was his third multi-hit effort in his last six games, and it's the first time he's driven in multiple runs since Aug. 5 versus the White Sox. Over the last seven games, Seattle has faced six left-handed pitchers, affording Polanco a chance to play in the field at second base over Cole Young. For the season, Polanco has a .252/.318/.458 slash line with 20 homers, 59 RBI, 49 runs scored and six stolen bases through 110 contests.
