Daniel Schneemann CF | CLE
Guardians' Daniel Schneemann: Grabbing seat Tuesday
Schneemann is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus the Yankees.
Schneemann started each of the previous four tilts but will take a seat Tuesday. Steven Kwan will be in center field for the Guardians, and Rhys Hoskins is netting a start at designated hitter.

Dax Kilby SS | NYY
Yankees' Dax Kilby: Hamstring acting up
Kilby went 0-for-2 with one strikeout in a rehab game in the Florida Complex League on May 28 but has not appeared in a rehab game since as he deals with a nagging hamstring injury, Josh Norris of Baseball America reports.
Kilby seemingly aggravated the hamstring in his one and only rehab game, as he's been missing in action for two weeks since then. Kilby showed an exciting set of tools in his brief pro debut last year, hitting .353 with 16 steals and a 108.9-mph max EV in 18 games at Single-A. He turns 20 in November.

Rikuu Nishida RF | CHW
White Sox's Rikuu Nishida: Returns to Triple-A
The White Sox optioned Nishida to Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old was called up last week by Chicago and produced a .241/.241/.241 slash line across 30 plate appearances in his first taste of the majors. Nishida could get another look later in the season, but he'll return to Charlotte for now while top prospect Braden Montgomery joins the big club.

Joe Rock RP | CHW
White Sox's Joe Rock: Promoted Tuesday
The White Sox recalled Rock from Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.
The left-hander was acquired from the Rays in exchange for Oliver Dunn in mid-May and is now on the cusp of his White Sox debut. Rock hasn't been particularly effective at the Triple-A level this year with a 4.88 ERA, 1.79 WHIP and 40:21 K:BB across 24 innings between the two organizations.

Austin Hays LF | CHW
White Sox's Austin Hays: Moved to 60-day IL
The White Sox transferred Hays (calf) to the 60-day injured list Tuesday.
The transaction frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for the addition of Braden Montgomery. Hays had a setback with his left calf while on a rehab assignment last week and remains shut down. He is now ineligible for activation until early July, and there is no timetable for the veteran outfielder.

David Sandlin SP | CHW
White Sox's David Sandlin: Jettisoned to minors
The White Sox optioned Sandlin to Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.
Sandlin was terrific in his major-league debut last month versus the Twins with six innings of one-run ball, but he yielded 11 runs over 7.1 innings in two appearances since then. His turn as a starting pitcher/bulk reliever will come up this weekend against the Dodgers, and the White Sox have not announced how they plan to fill that vacancy.

Braden Montgomery RF | CHW
White Sox's Braden Montgomery: Officially called up
The White Sox selected Montgomery's contract from Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old is one of the top prospects in baseball and is now set to make his major-league debut for the White Sox. Montgomery opened the campaign with Double-A Birmingham and posted a 1.035 OPS in 27 games before being promoted to Triple-A in early May. Montgomery then had an .864 OPS in 28 contests for Charlotte, and Chicago is now ready to give him a look in the big leagues. He's played both center and right field this season and should see plenty of playing time between those two spots for the White Sox.

Yainer Diaz C | HOU
Astros' Yainer Diaz: Beginning rehab assignment
Diaz (oblique) is starting a minor-league rehab assignment Tuesday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.
The 27-year-old has been on the injured list since early May due to an oblique strain, but he's been cleared for game action after ramping up his baseball activities. Diaz had a poor start to the season offensively with a .602 OPS through 26 games, and Christian Vazquez's superior work behind the plate could mean that the Astros deploy a more even split of playing time at catcher, per Rome.

Taitn Gray C | TB
Rays' Taitn Gray: Shelved at Single-A
Single-A Charleston placed Gray on its 7-day injured list June 1 due to an unspecified issue.
Gray's move to the IL temporarily halts what's been a magnificent first season in the professional ranks for the 18-year-old, who has settled in at first base after being listed as a catcher when he was selected in the third round of the 2025 First-Year Player Draft. Prior to hitting the shelf, Gray produced a .286/.406/.474 slash line with a 16.8 percent walk rate and 21.9 percent strikeout rate over 192 plate appearances with Charleston.

Braden Montgomery RF | CHW
White Sox's Braden Montgomery: Slated for big-league promotion
The White Sox are slated to call up Montgomery from Triple-A Charlotte, James Fegan of SoxMachine.com reports.
Montgomery began the 2026 season at Double-A Birmingham before being promoted to Charlotte in early May. He's been excellent at both stops, slashing a combined .314/.422/.548 with 10 home runs, five stolen bases and a 39:64 BB:K over 56 contests. Montgomery has some swing-and-miss concerns, but he draws walks and has big power. He's played both center and right field this season in the minors and could be used at either or both positions with the White Sox.
