Bailey went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run in Friday's 9-1 win over the Rockies.

Bailey did his damage late, launching a three-run blast in the seventh inning before adding a double off a position player in the ninth. The defensive-minded backstop has now delivered consecutive two-hit performances for the first time this season, though he still owns a lowly .651 OPS in 14 August contests. On the season, he's slashing .193/.250/.313 with seven homers, 29 RBI, 23 runs scored and three steals across 274 plate appearances with the Guardians and Giants.

Bazzana went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base in Friday's 9-1 win over the Rockies.

Bazzana produced his second career four-hit effort, driving in two runs on a single in the fourth inning before adding another RBI knock in the ninth. It was a much-needed performance for the rookie, who entered the contest just 10-for-52 in August and still hasn't homered since July 20. On the year, he's slashing .241/.333/.375 with nine home runs, 39 RBI, 40 runs scored and 18 steals across his first 405 major-league plate appearances.

Gore did not factor into the decision in Friday's 2-1 extra-inning win over the Angels, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out seven over six scoreless innings.

Gore had everything working, generating 21 swinging strikes on 100 pitches while registering at least four whiffs with four different offerings. It continued a strong August for the 27-year-old, who owns a 1.57 ERA through four outings this month, including two scoreless quality starts. He'll carry a 4.26 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 161:52 K:BB across 145.2 innings this season into his next start, which is projected to be a road matchup with the Brewers next weekend.

Detmers did not factor into the decision in Friday's 2-1 extra-inning loss to the Rangers, allowing six hits and one walk while striking out five over six scoreless innings.

Detmers didn't have his best stuff, generating only nine swinging strikes on 89 pitches, but he pounded the strike zone en route to his second straight scoreless start. Dating back to the fifth inning of his July 17 outing, the southpaw has tossed 16 consecutive scoreless frames, posting a quality start in each of those efforts. He'll take a 3.62 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 172:44 K:BB across 149 innings this season into a home matchup with the Phillies next weekend.

Joyce (0-1) blew a save and took the loss against the Rangers on Friday, allowing two unearned runs on two hits and one walk with one strikeout while recording two outs in the 10th inning.

Joyce was summoned to close out a one-run lead in the 10th inning and recorded two quick outs. It was downhill from there, though, as he yielded an RBI double before the game-winning run scored on a throwing error. Despite the end result, the 25-year-old has now gone seven straight outings without allowing an earned run since making his season debut Aug. 5. He owns three saves and one hold over that span to go along with a strong 9:2 K:BB and should remain the club's favorite for save chances down the stretch.

Garcia earned the save in Friday's 5-3 win over the Rays, striking out two batters in a scoreless ninth inning.

Garcia got the call to protect the Orioles' two-run lead in the ninth after Andrew Kittredge was deployed for the eighth frame. Garcia proceeded to strike out each of the first two batters he faced before getting Cedric Mullins to fly out to secure Baltimore's 62nd win of the season. Garcia, Kittredge, Cam Sanders and Yennier Cano have all been in the mix for saves, and that appears to be the case until either Ryan Helsley (elbow) or Felix Bautista (shoulder) returns from the injured list.

Alvarez went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI and one run scored in Friday's 4-0 win over the Athletics. He was also hit by a pitch.

Alvarez drove in runs on doubles in the fifth and seventh innings. The 29-year-old slugger has homered just once in 18 August contests, but he's hitting .302 with eight doubles, eight RBI and 11 runs scored in what has still been a productive month. On the season, he's slashing .321/.434/.618 with 36 home runs, 90 RBI, 85 runs scored and a stolen base across 557 plate appearances.

Piper went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer during the Rays' 5-3 loss to the Orioles on Friday.

Piper gave the Rays a 3-1 lead in the second inning by smacking a two-run homer to center field off Trevor Rogers. It was the first major-league home run of Pipers' career in just his second game in the big leagues. He's unlikely to see much more playing time for Tampa Bay, given that Liam Hicks and Nick Fortes are both ahead of Piper on the depth chart.

Ginn (8-8) took the loss against the Astros on Friday, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks with four strikeouts over five innings.

Ginn opened with three scoreless frames before allowing runs in the fourth and fifth, throwing 57 of 94 pitches for strikes with nine whiffs. After opening the second half with three straight quality starts, the 27-year-old has now yielded seven earned runs over back-to-back losses. He owns a 3.60 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 118:55 K:BB across 132.1 innings this season and lines up for a home matchup with the Twins next week.

Peralta (5-11) took the loss against the Orioles on Friday, allowing five runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out six across seven innings.

Peralta fell to the Orioles on Friday for a second consecutive start, giving up seven runs over his last 11.2 frames against Baltimore. He kept the Orioles to two runs through four innings but allowed three baserunners to cross home in the fifth frame, highlighted by a two-run homer by Pete Alonso. Peralta has given up at least five earned runs six times this season, three of which have come over his last five outings. He hasn't been credited with a win since June 14 against Atlanta, and in four starts with the Rays, the veteran right-hander has a 7.17 ERA and 1.36 WHIP across 21.1 innings. Peralta is slated to take on the Tigers on the road next week.
