Arrighetti did not factor into the decision in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Rays, allowing one run on two hits and one walk with four strikeouts over six innings.

Arrighetti opened with five scoreless frames before allowing a solo homer in the sixth, generating 10 whiffs on just 73 pitches before departing in a 1-1 tie. It was a much-needed effort for the 26-year-old, who posted a 9.00 ERA in June and entered Friday having surrendered 14 earned runs over his previous two starts. He'll carry a 3.81 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 79:38 K:BB across 78 innings overall into a challenging road matchup with the Nationals next week.

Martinez did not factor into the decision in Friday's 3-1 win over the Astros, allowing one run on three hits and one walk with three strikeouts over 5.1 innings.

Martinez was cruising until he yielded a solo homer to Yordan Alvarez in the sixth inning, subsequently departing in a 1-1 tie after allowing a single to the next batter he faced. While he hasn't been able to notch a quality start in either outing, the 35-year-old has yielded just one earned run while pitching into the sixth in both of his past two starts. He'll take a 2.61 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 61:18 K:BB across 100 innings this season into a home matchup with the Yankees next week.

Baker earned the save in Friday's 3-1 win over the Astros, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

Baker was called upon to close things out for the second straight game and did so on just eight pitches. It continued an All-Star-worthy campaign for the 31-year-old, who has converted 23 of 26 save chances while posting a 1.83 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 37:11 K:BB across 34.1 innings this season.

The Yankees will recall Beck from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to start Saturday's game against the Twins, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.

Beck made his MLB debut out of the bullpen earlier this season, giving up two earned runs on two hits and three walks across three innings against the Rangers on May 7. Since then, he's posted a 1.59 ERA and 0.94 WHIP with a 54:20 K:BB over 51 innings at Triple-A, so he'll get another chance to showcase his talents for the big club and fill the rotation spot vacated by Carlos Rodon (elbow), who was moved to the 15-day injured list.

Fortes went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a double and an additional RBI in Friday's 3-1 win over Houston.

Despite seeing limited action behind the plate, Fortes is making the most out of his playing time recently. Over his last seven games (17 at-bats), the 29-year-old backstop is hitting .412 with the aforementioned two extra-base hits, five RBI, five runs scored and a walk. Fortes should continue battling with Hunter Feduccia for reps behind the dish moving forward.

O'Hoppe was removed from Friday's game against Boston with a head injury, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

O'Hoppe took a foul tip off his mask during the third inning of Friday's contest and was immediately replaced behind the plate. It remains unknown whether the 26-year-old suffered a concussion as a result of the incident, though he has had problems with concussions in the past. Tyler Heineman entered the game as O'Hoppe's replacement and would presumably start most of the games the latter has to miss.

Garcia picked up a hold Friday against the Reds, allowing one hit and one walk in two scoreless innings. He struck out two.

With Ryan Helsley (elbow) hitting the injured list again Friday, the Orioles deployed Garcia ahead of Yennier Cano and Tyler Wells in a three-run game. Garcia served as Baltimore's primary closer when Helsley was sidelined earlier this year, so the division of labor among the club's high-leverage mix will remain worth monitoring going forward. Through 37.2 innings, the journeyman right-hander sports a 2.39 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 41:12 K:BB to go with 12 holds and four saves (five opportunities).

Lagrange was diagnosed with a capsular sprain of the right shoulder Friday, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.

Lagrange had been making a push to join the major-league bullpen at some point this season, but he landed on the injured list at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday and is now facing an extended absence following his diagnosis. The Yankees will keep him shut down from throwing for about six weeks, at which point he'll be re-evaluated.

Wells earned the save in Friday's 3-0 win over the Reds after striking out one batter in a scoreless ninth inning.

The Orioles are looking for a substitute at closer after Ryan Helsley was placed on the 15-day injured due to right elbow discomfort. Rico Garcia and Yennier Cano were both deployed earlier in Friday's contest, so Wells was brought out for the ninth inning for his first save chance of the season. Wells answered the call, needing just 10 pitches (seven strikes) to wrap up the win for Baltimore. It was his first save since the 2023 season, and given his low pitch count, Wells could be called upon for another save opportunity during the weekend series in Cincinnati.

Basallo went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run in Friday's 3-0 win over the Reds.

Friday's series opener was a low-scoring affair, so Basallo's two-run shot off Brady Singer in the fifth inning was a crucial one for the Orioles, who entered the game having lost four straight. It was the 13th home run of the season for Basallo, which is tied with Carter Jensen for fourth most among rookies this season. Basallo has gone 13-for-51 (.255) with three home runs and 10 RBI over his last 15 games.
