The Tigers will place Perez (face) on the 10-day injured list prior to Friday's game versus the White Sox, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Perez got hurt Tuesday in a weight room incident when he was struck in the face by a plyometric band. It's unclear what specific injury he is dealing with, but it will cost him at least the next week-plus of action. Trei Cruz will absorb Perez's spot on the Detroit roster.

Garcia (hand) remains out of the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Cardinals.

Garcia will miss a second straight start due to left hand soreness. The injury forced Garcia from Tuesday's game against the Nationals, but it's something he's dealt with off-and-on for the past month. Consider him day-to-day. Nick Loftin will get another start at third base in Garcia's stead.

The Tigers are expected to recall Cruz from Triple-A Toledo on Friday, Ari Alexander of 7 News Boston reports.

He will replace the injured Wenceel Perez (face) on the roster. Cruz was added to the 40-man roster over the winter, but it will be his major-league debut when/if he gets into a game. The 27-year-old is slashing just .228/.326/.333 with two home runs this season with Toledo. Cruz has experience at every position on the diamond outside of first base, catcher and pitcher.

Burke will be used in a bulk-relief role Thursday against the Yankees.

The White Sox are going with the left-handed Bryan Hudson as an opener before turning to a righty in Burke. The 26-year-old has fared quite well this season when used in a bulk-relief role, collecting a 2.04 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 18:5 K:BB over 17.2 frames.

Hudson will serve as the opening pitcher in Thursday's game versus the Yankees.

The left-hander will get an inning or two before turning things over to bulk reliever Sean Burke. Hudson has struggled so far in June, getting scored upon in three of five appearances.

Rodriguez (hamstring) isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against Baltimore.

Rodriguez was forced to make an early exit from Wednesday's game due to hamstring spasms, and he'll take a day off Thursday to recover. With both Rodriguez and Luke Raley (back) sitting with injuries, the Mariners will start Miles Mastrobuoni, Victor Robles and Dominic Canzone across the outfield.

Raley isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Orioles due to the flu, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Mariners manager Dan Wilson said that Raley is over the back tightness that caused him to miss the last two games, but the outfielder has since caught a flu bug. Raley is expected back in the lineup Friday. In the meantime, Miles Mastrobuoni, Victor Robles and Dominic Canzone will form Seattle's outfield trio Thursday.

Naylor (shin/wrist) will start at first base and bat third Thursday against the Orioles.

Naylor missed the Mariners' last two games while dealing with a bruised shin and sore wrist, but both issues appear to have subsided ahead of Thursday's series finale. The 28-year-old has been heating up this month, slashing .250/.308/.500 with three homers, eight RBI and seven runs scored over 12 games since June 1.

The White Sox recalled Perez from Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday.

He'll grab the roster spot vacated by the injured Everson Pereira (concussion) and could work his way into the outfield rotation on the south side of Chicago. Acquired from the Athletics last month in a trade, Perez has slashed .217/.292/.401 with seven home runs, nine stolen bases and a 23:84 BB:K over 56 games at the Triple-A level in 2026. The 24-year-old has loud tools but also major contact issues, so it could be a tough immediate transition to facing big-league pitching.

Chisholm went 1-for-5 with a solo home run Wednesday in a 10-5 victory against the White Sox.

Chisholm's lone hit was a solo shot to right-center field in the seventh inning that capped New York's scoring in the contest. After going deep a modest six times through his first 56 games of the season, Chisholm's power has been more prevalent in June, as he's hit four homers through 13 games this month. With 10 long balls and 20 thefts overall, he joins Jose Ramirez (hand) and Oneil Cruz (hand) as the only big-leaguers to reach both marks so far.
