Manager A.J. Hinch said Saturday that Jansen has been day-to-day with right groin/abdomen soreness, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

Jansen has been dealing with the injury ever since his most recent appearance Wednesday in Atlanta, during which he conceded two earned runs and failed to record an out. He doesn't seem to be trending toward a trip to the injured list at the moment, though that could change if he doesn't return within the next few days.

The Tigers designated Curet for assignment Saturday, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

Curet has made just one appearance at Triple-A this season, during which he allowed three runs (one earned) while walking three batters and striking out one in two-thirds of an inning. He'll end up as the roster casualty necessary to make room for Ricky Vanasco, who was selected to the big-league squad Saturday.

After posting a 0.00 ERA and 0.80 WHIP to go with his 28:4 K:BB through 15 innings in Triple-A, Vanasco will return to the majors for the first time since 2024 to replace the injured Will Vest (forearm). Although Vanasco has been dominant in the minors up to this point, he'll likely settle in as a middle reliever with Detroit.

The Tigers placed Vest on the 15-day injured list Saturday with right forearm inflammation, Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports.

Vest hasn't appeared in a game since Sunday, and manager A.J. Hinch hinted Friday that Vest's absence has been due to some kind of injury. Now that he's known to be dealing with a forearm issue, he'll spend at least the next couple of weeks on the injured list while Ricky Vanasco comes up from Triple-A Toledo to fill the void in Detroit's bullpen.

Springer was removed from Saturday's game against the Twins after getting hit on the left foot by a pitch, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Springer returned from the injured list Wednesday after missing a couple of weeks with a fractured left big toe, and the pitch that hit him Saturday seemed to strike the same place. The Jays will almost certainly send him in for X-rays to determine the extent of the damage, and it's possible the 36-year-old has to spend more time on the IL.

Hader (biceps) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Sugar Land on Tuesday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Hader has been facing live hitters for the past couple of weeks while working his way back from left biceps tendinitis, and he's now ready to begin testing his arm in a competitive setting. The 32-year-old reliever was moved to the 60-day IL in April, so he will have plenty of opportunities to ramp up in the minors before becoming eligible to rejoin the Astros on May 24. Tatsuya Imai (arm) and Nate Pearson (elbow) are scheduled to pitch for Sugar Land on Tuesday as well.

Fortes isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game versus San Francisco, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

Fortes will take a seat to begin Saturday's contest after going 0-for-3 with a strikeout in Friday's series opener. Hunter Feduccia will handle catching duties and bat eighth.

Diaz (side) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Giants, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

Diaz was pulled from Friday's game due to tightness in his left side, and the Rays will hold him out of Saturday's contest to give him time to recover. Jake Fraley will work as Tampa Bay's designated hitter while Diaz sits, opening up right field for Jonny DeLuca.

The Rays designated Gomez for assignment Saturday, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

Gomez has gotten off to a poor start this season, logging a 6.23 ERA and 1.67 WHIP with a 13:10 K:BB through 17.1 innings, and he'll now end up as the odd man out of a roster spot following Garrett Cleavinger's (calf) return from the injured list. Gomez, 26, owns a 5.11 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in his MLB career and could end up spending the rest of the season as organizational depth if he clears waivers.

The Rays reinstated Cleavinger (calf) from the injured list Saturday, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

Cleavinger's rehab assignment got off to a shaky start, but he was able to clean things up quickly and finished his last four appearances with just one hit and one walk allowed over 3.1 shutout innings. Now fully healthy, the 32-year-old will likely claim a high-leverage role in the Rays' bullpen, though Bryan Baker is still the favorite for saves. Yoendrys Gomez was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.
