The Yankees placed Stanton (calf) on the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

The veteran slugger was diagnosed Monday with a low-grade right calf strain after undergoing an MRI, and he's now officially been moved to the IL. Jasson Dominguez was called up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and started as the designated hitter Monday against the Rangers, and the top prospect could get regular playing time while Stanton is on the shelf.

Rafaela is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Toronto.

It looks to be a routine day off for Rafaela, who had started each of the previous seven contests. Jarren Duran will play center field and bat leadoff in Rafaela's stead.

The Royals recalled Avila from Triple-A Omaha on Tuesday.

Avila has made one start and one long relief appearance with Kansas City this season, yielding six runs with a 6:4 K:BB over six innings of work. He will provide the Royals' bullpen with some length.

The Blue Jays optioned Lee to Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday.

He's being sent down to accommodate the return of Trey Yesavage (shoulder). Lee's stint in the majors lasted just one day, and he was charged with one run over 1.1 innings in a relief outing Monday versus the Red Sox.

The Blue Jays activated Yesavage (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday.

Yesavage is set to make his season debut Tuesday against the Red Sox after getting a late start to the season due to a right shoulder impingement. The right-hander held an 8.59 ERA and 1.77 WHIP in four rehab starts, though he did strike out 22 batters across 14.2 innings. Yesavage threw 64 pitches in his final rehab outing, so he will not be ready for a full workload Tuesday.

Weissert pitched a scoreless ninth inning during which he allowed one hit in the 5-0 win over the Blue Jays on Monday.

Weissert has tallied 62 or more appearances the last two seasons with the Red Sox and is on pace for that again with 13 trips to the mound over Boston's first 29 games. The right-hander is being used primarily low-leverage situations thus far after blowing nine save opportunities last season, the second most in MLB. Weissert does continue to boast above-average swing-and-miss stuff, however, recording 16 strikeouts across his first 11.2 innings in 2026.

Wallner is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mariners.

Wallner had started the last four contests, but this is the third time over the last nine games versus right-handed pitching that the lefty-swinger has been out of the lineup. He's sporting a .564 OPS and 36.8 percent strikeout rate in 106 plate appearances this season. Austin Martin is in right field and batting third Tuesday.

Jeffers is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus the Mariners.

Jeffers started at catcher in each of the previous three games, so he'll get some rest Tuesday. Victor Caratini will do the catching and bat sixth for the Twins.

Lee is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Mariners.

It's a well-earned day off for Lee, who had started each of the previous 16 contests. Tristan Gray will grab a start at shortstop and bat eighth for the Twins.

Valera is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rays, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

The 25-year-old was out of the lineup for the previous two games, but the Guardians went up against a lefty in both of those contests. Right-hander Nick Martinez is pitching Tuesday for the Rays, but Valera still finds himself on the bench amid a poor start to the season that's seen him bat .222 (8-for-36) with three doubles and no homers through 12 games. Angel Martinez is receiving a fifth straight start in the outfield while Daniel Schneemann starts in center field with top prospect Travis Bazzana making his MLB debut at second base.
