Garcia earned a save against the Astros on Saturday, striking out two batters in a perfect inning.

After the game went into an extra frame, Arizona plated a run in the top of the 10th to take the lead. Manager Torey Lovullo then turned to Garcia, who came through with a 13-pitch scoreless inning to earn the save. The southpaw collected three saves over a 17-day span in July and August, but he hadn't picked up another save across his subsequent seven outings. Juan Morillo and Kevin Ginkel have each gotten into the saves column of late, and both pitched before the ninth inning Saturday, so Arizona's late-inning bullpen situation appears fluid.

Saggese went 2-for-2 with a double, a walk, one RBI, one stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 10-7 loss to the Rockies.

Saggese has hit safely in six straight games, four of which have been multi-hit efforts. He's also logged three home runs, eight RBI and two steals in that span. The infielder's playing time is likely to drop once Masyn Winn (thumb) returns, but Saggese has put together a nice audition that could help him stay in the Cardinals' long-term plans. Over 39 games this year, Saggese is batting .260 with a .772 OPS, four homers, three steals, 12 RBI, 18 runs scored, four doubles and one triple.

Herrera went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI in Saturday's 10-7 loss to the Rockies.

Herrera has homered in consecutive contests, and he's logged multiple hits in five of his last six games. In that span, he's supplied nine RBI. The catcher continues to log a fair amount of time at designated hitter to keep his bat in the lineup while Leo Bernal learns the ropes behind the dish. Herrera is batting .248 with a .744 OPS, 16 homers, 62 RBI, 87 runs scored, 24 doubles, one triple and eight stolen bases over 142 games this season.

Baez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Saturday's 10-7 loss to the Rockies.

Baez has started to find a groove at the plate, hitting safely in eight of his last nine games. He's gone 10-for-29 (.345) with three homers and six RBI in that span. The rookie outfielder is hitting .229 with an .872 OPS, seven homers, 15 RBI, 13 runs scored, four doubles and two stolen bases over his first 21 major-league contests, and he should see steady time in left field down the stretch.

Wrobleski will start Sunday's series finale versus the Nationals, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

An earlier report indicated Wrobleski would be pitching behind an opener Sunday, but the southpaw now appears on track to make his 21st start of the season. Wrobleski had a great first half and was named to his first All-Star team, but he's had a rough go ever since, posting a 7.07 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 31:9 K:BB while serving up 12 homers over 28 innings spanning six outings since the break. Sunday's contest may end up being just a spot start for Wrobleski, as Roki Sasaki (finger) could come off the injured list as soon as next week. Wrobleski is also likely to have a workload restriction in place after he hadn't started since Aug. 15 and made one two-inning, 36-pitch relief appearance in his lone outing since coming back from the IL on Sept. 1.

Liberatore (5-14) allowed five runs on four hits and two walks while striking out three over 4.1 innings to take the loss Saturday versus the Rockies.

Liberatore avoided giving up a home run for the first time in four starts, but shaky defense in the fifth inning ultimately brought his start to an early end. He's lost six straight starts and eight of his last nine, posting a 6.75 ERA over 45.1 innings since the All-Star break. On the year, he has a 5.57 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 144:49 K:BB through 139 innings over 28 starts. Liberatore is lined up to make his next start at home versus the White Sox.

Tovar went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and two runs scored in Saturday's 10-7 win over the Cardinals.

Tovar's place in the lineup has been slipping lately -- he's started just five of the Rockies' last eight games, and in only one of the four games against right-handed starters in that span. The shortstop has gone 10-for-30 (.333) with three RBI over his last 12 contests, but that's been a brief bright spot in an otherwise disappointing year. Tovar is batting .213 with a .596 OPS, seven steals, 10 home runs, 41 RBI and 46 runs scored over 130 contests this season.

Ohtani (biceps/knee) didn't experience any discomfort while taking swings in the batting cage Saturday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Ohtani did some hitting in the cage during Saturday's win against Washington and reportedly felt fine. However, manager Dave Roberts said the team will wait to see how the two-way star feels Sunday before deciding next steps. It's not clear if Ohtani has a chance to return to the lineup Sunday following a three-game absence, but at the very least, how he recovers from the session Sunday could help determine whether he'll be able to avoid a stint on the injured list.

McCarthy went 1-for-3 with two walks, two stolen bases and two runs scored in Saturday's 10-7 win over the Cardinals.

McCarthy's surge on the basepaths has seen him notch nine steals over his last 18 games. In that span, he's batting .257 (19-for-74) with five RBI. McCarthy has a career-high 29 steals this season, but it's the overall package that has elevated him to a consistent spot atop the lineup for the Rockies. He's also batting .290 with an .811 OPS, 14 home runs, 72 RBI, 69 runs scored, 29 doubles and eight triples across 127 contests.

Rushing is scheduled to undergo imaging on his injured right elbow Sunday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Rushing was a late scratch from Saturday's lineup versus Washington after experiencing right elbow discomfort during an on-field throwing session. The backstop has been limited to DH and pinch-hit duties since returning from the IL on Sept. 1, but now even his ability to hit is in question due to the setback. Manager Dave Roberts said after Saturday's win that regardless of the results of Sunday's tests, Rushing will pause his throwing progression.
