Maton has been diagnosed with a partial patellar tendon tear in his right knee, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Maton is on the 15-day injured list for the third time this season with a nagging knee issue that had previously been labeled as tendinitis. Further testing revealed structural damage, and it puts his status for the remainder of the season very much in doubt. Maton was given a platelet-rich plasma injection back on July 21, and a decision will be made within the next 1-to-2 weeks as to whether Maton will push to return sometime in September or shut things down.

The Rockies recalled Amador from Triple-A Albuquerque on Wednesday.

Amador is in the midst of his third season as a member of the Rockies' 40-man roster, but he had been playing exclusively at Triple-A in 2026 until receiving a call-up Wednesday. The 23-year-old recorded 11 home runs and 11 steals while slashing .261/.370/.432 in 393 plate appearances for Albuquerque, though that still made him a below-league-average producer with a 94 wRC+ in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League. While Amador has been used solely at second base during his time in the majors over the previous two seasons, he's also dabbled at shortstop and left field at Albuquerque in 2026.

Quintana (elbow) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Wednesday, MLB.com reports.

Quintana most recently tossed a 23-pitch bullpen session Sunday that consisted of all fastballs and changeups. The veteran southpaw -- who has been on the shelf since May 25 due to an elbow sprain -- could soon be cleared to face hitters and appears to be tracking toward a return to the Rockies' active roster in late August or early September.

The Rockies reinstated Criswell (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list Wednesday and optioned him to Triple-A Albuquerque.

Colorado placed Criswell on the IL shortly after he sustained a right shoulder strain following his first appearance coming out of the All-Star break, but he made a relatively quick recovery. He tossed a scoreless inning in his lone rehab appearance with Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday and will wind up sticking around with the affiliate, as the Rockies didn't have room for him in the big-league bullpen.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy said that Chourio is in Wednesday's lineup versus the Padres despite a sore thumb, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Murphy admitted to misspeaking when he said after Tuesday's 11-2 loss that Brice Turang was battling a sore thumb, as it's actually Chourio whose thumb is bothering him. Chourio was lifted for a pinch hitter Tuesday, though it's unclear whether that move was related to his thumb issue or simply the lopsided score. Though Chourio is back in left field and in the leadoff spot for Wednesday's series finale, his thumb injury will be monitored closely.

The Rockies placed Karros on the 7-day injured list Wednesday due to a concussion.

Karros hit a game-tying two-run home run in the top of the sixth inning of Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Diamondbacks, and then left the game in the bottom half of the frame after colliding in the field with teammate Ezequiel Tovar while both were pursuing a grounder. Per David Brandt of the Associated Press, Rockies manager Warren Schaeffer said after the game that Karros entered concussion protocol. With that, Karros will be held out of action for the next week, which likely clears the way for Willi Castro to serve as the Rockies' primary third baseman in the interim.

Ortiz (neck) will start at third base and bat ninth in Wednesday's game against the Padres, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

After recently losing Cooper Pratt (hamstring) to the injured list, the Brewers look set to avoid another blow to the left side of the infield with Ortiz making his way back into the lineup. Ortiz had missed each of the last three games due to neck tightness, which flared up when he struck out during a plate appearance Saturday. Per MLB.com, Ortiz was able to do some running Monday and then incorporated more baseball activities into his workout Tuesday, with his neck apparently checking out fine afterward. He should be in good shape to hold down a near-everyday role at either third base or shortstop while Pratt is on the shelf.

Turang (thumb) will start at second base and bat second in Wednesday's game against the Padres, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Turang played the entirety of Tuesday's 11-2 loss before Brewers manager Pat Murphy revealed after the contest that the infielder had been dealing with a sprained thumb. According to McCalvy, Murphy issued a retraction when he spoke to the media Wednesday, noting that he meant outfielder Jackson Chourio had been playing through the thumb issue rather than Turang. With that in mind, fantasy managers should have no reservations about including Turang in lineups while he's staged an impressive follow-up to his breakout 2025 campaign. He'll head into Wednesday's contest with a .269 average, 16 home runs, 16 stolen bases, 75 RBI and 74 runs through 114 games.

Perdomo (knee) will start at shortstop and bat leadoff in Wednesday's game versus the Rockies.

Perdomo was lifted from Monday's game and sat out Tuesday because of left knee discomfort, but he feels well enough to give it a go in Wednesday's series finale. He's sporting a .934 OPS across the past two weeks for the Diamondbacks.

Halvorsen (1-1) earned the win over Kansas City on Tuesday, issuing one walk over one scoreless and hitless inning.

Halvorsen was traded to the Dodgers on July 20, and he spent his first few weeks in the organization with Triple-A Oklahoma City as he continued to work his way back from a shoulder injury. The righty reliever was called up Monday and didn't exactly get a soft landing spot for his first appearance with the Dodgers, as he entered in the top of the 10th inning Tuesday with the task of preventing the Royals' automatic runner at second base from scoring. Halvorsen was up to the challenge, keeping the score tied while maneuvering around a two-out intentional walk. It remains to be seen how much high-leverage work the 26-year-old will get with his new team, but he's certainly in a better position to succeed now that he's away from Coors Field, and he's an intriguing addition to Los Angeles' bullpen given his ability to hit triple digits with his fastball.
