Rushing isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against Colorado, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.

Rushing will get a day off Wednesday after going 3-for-8 with a walk, an RBI and a pair of runs scored through the first two games of the series. Eliezer Alfonzo will take over at catcher and bat ninth.

Frelick isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.

Frelick will get a chance to catch his breath Wednesday after going 0-for-6 across both games of Tuesday's twin bill. Luis Lara will replace him as Milwaukee's right fielder and bat sixth.

Medical imaging revealed an injury to Woodruff's right anterior shoulder capsule Wednesday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Woodruff landed on the injured list Sunday with right shoulder inflammation -- an issue that has already caused the veteran righty to miss more than a month of action this year. However, his latest diagnosis is being described as a new injury, so there's no telling how long he may be on the shelf for. He's set to receive a second opinion from Dr. Keith Meister -- the surgeon who performed Woodruff's 2023 shoulder surgery -- that will aid in determining his return timeline.

Church is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

With Milwaukee sending a tough lefty in Kyle Harrison to the bump, Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol will elect to give the lefty-swinging Church a breather. Lars Nootbaar will cover center field in place of Church, who went 7-for-43 (.163 average) with three home runs, eight RBI and five runs while starting in each of the past 12 games.

Steele (elbow) was cleared to begin ramping up his throwing program Tuesday, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Steele began a throwing program in late June, and although he's started to increase the intensity of his throwing sessions, the Cubs will hold off on having him throw off a mound until the first week of August. The left-hander won't have enough time to build up and be available as a starter this year, but returning as a reliever late in the season isn't out of the question.

Perdomo isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against San Diego.

Perdomo will grab a seat on the bench to begin Wednesday's contest after going 2-for-8 with a homer, two additional runs scored and a steal through the first two games of the series. Ildemaro Vargas will fill in as Arizona's shortstop and bat second.

The Phillies optioned Johnson to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old righty will be pushed back to Triple-A to make room for Brad Keller's (forearm) return from the injured list. Johnson made eight appearances with the Phillies after being called up June 18, and he surrendered six earned runs and posted a 10:7 K:BB in 7.2 innings while up in the majors. Although he carries a 7.15 ERA in the big leagues, he remains an option to return to Philadelphia later in the year if its bullpen depth is tested.

The Phillies reinstated Keller (forearm) from the injured list Wednesday.

Keller had been on the shelf since June 16 with right forearm tendinitis, but after making two rehab appearances at Triple-A Lehigh Valley, he's officially been cleared to return to Philadelphia's bullpen. The 30-year-old owns a 4.15 ERA and 1.35 WHIP through 30.1 innings on the season and will likely slide back into a setup role now that he's fully healthy. Seth Johnson was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move.

The Phillies placed Trivino on the 15-day injured list Wednesday due to a right thoracic muscle spasm.

Trivino will be eligible to return from the IL on July 22, though even if he's ready to go by then, it's unclear if the Phillies will have a spot available for him in their bullpen. The journeyman reliever was already dropped from the Orioles' 40-man roster earlier this season, and after the Phillies called him up from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on June 30, Trivino proceeded to give up four runs on four hits and four walks over three innings in his three appearances before landing on the shelf.

Conine isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Conine will get a breather Wednesday after going 1-for-16 with nine strikeouts to begin the month of July. His absence will allow Heriberto Hernandez to bat sixth while picking up a start in left field.
