Wheeler (3-0) notched the win Sunday against the Pirates, allowing no runs on four hits and one walk in seven innings. He struck out eight.

Wheeler was already enjoying a successful comeback from last year's shoulder surgery, but Sunday's performance might have been his best of the campaign so far. The 35-year-old right-hander matched a season high in punchouts, and he also submitted his first scoreless start of the season. Wheeler, who has now logged four consecutive quality starts, will be trying to keep the good times rolling in a favorable home matchup against Cleveland for his next scheduled appearance. He has a sparkling 1.99 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 30:7 K:BB across 31.2 innings.

Skenes (6-3) took the loss Sunday against the Phillies, allowing five runs on six hits and one walk in five innings. He struck out seven.

After twirling eight innings of scoreless ball in back-to-back starts, Skenes stumbled in a tough spot against the red-hot Phillies on Sunday. Three of his hits allowed went for extra bases, and the All-Star right-hander gave up more than three runs for the first time since his disastrous Opening Day start against the Mets. Despite Sunday's hiccup, Skenes still holds a stellar 2.62 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 63:8 K:BB over 55 innings ahead of his next scheduled outing in Toronto.

Pallante (4-4) allowed two runs (one earned) on eight hits and struck out seven without walking a batter over 6.2 innings to take the loss versus the Royals on Sunday.

Pallante put forth a good performance, throwing 71 of 99 pitches for strikes in his longest outing of the campaign. This was his best effort in a loss all season, and it's the second time in nine starts he's avoided issuing a walk. Overall, the 27-year-old is at a 4.04 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 40:19 K:BB through 49 innings. He has alternated wins and losses over his last seven games, and he'll look to get back in the win column on the road versus the Reds in his next projected outing.

Edwards went 2-for-5 with one RBI, one run scored and two stolen bases in Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Rays.

Edwards had an active third inning, driving in a run, swiping second base and then scoring later in the frame. The 26-year-old also notched his first multi-steal effort of the year, and he's now hit safely in eight of his past 10 games with two home runs, four RBI and nine runs scored during that stretch. For the year, he's slashing .318/.404/.468 with four homers, 16 RBI, 33 runs scored and six stolen bases across 199 plate appearances.

Lopez went 2-for-4 with one double, one RBI, one run scored and two stolen bases in Sunday's 6-3 loss to the Rays.

Lopez was productive despite the outcome, highlighted by his first multi-steal effort of the campaign. The 27-year-old has now hit safely in five straight games, going 8-for-20 with four RBI during that stretch. He leads the majors with a .344 batting average to go along with four homers, 21 RBI, 28 runs scored and seven steals across 195 plate appearances.

Bregman went 2-for-5 with a walk, two RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 9-8, 10-inning loss to the White Sox.

Bregman extended his hitting streak to eight games, and he's tallied two hits in each of the last three contests. After a relatively slow start to his first season with the Cubs, the star third baseman seems to be settling into his significant role with the team. Bregman has played in all but one of Chicago's games to date, and with the lineup starting to really click, his recent production may be sustainable.

Busch went 1-for-4 with two walks and a two-run home run in Sunday's 9-8, 10-inning loss to the White Sox.

Busch got the scoring started for the Cubs, lifting his fourth home run of the season two batters into the game against Erick Fedde. The slugging first baseman got off to a bit of a slow start this year following his 2025 breakout campaign, but he's turning things around lately. Busch is now batting .315 in May with two homers and 15 RBI across 16 contests.

Conforto went 2-for-4 with a walk and a three-run home run in Sunday's 9-8, 10-inning loss to the White Sox.

Conforto's third home run of the season was a critical one, as it tied the game at 7-7 before the Cubs ultimately fell in extra innings. The veteran outfielder has been good when given playing time this season, as he's now sporting a 1.111 OPS across 27 games. However, Conforto would likely need an injury to one of Chicago's regulars for his role to grow significantly.

The Dodgers transferred Graterol (shoulder/back) to the 60-day injured list Sunday.

The right-hander is working his way back from right shoulder surgery -- which he underwent in November of 2024 -- but the Dodgers pulled him off his rehab assignment Friday due to a back issue. It's unclear exactly how much this will affect Graterol's return timeline, but it seems likely to push his absence into June.

Winn is considered day-to-day after exiting Sunday's 2-0 loss to the Royals with left knee discomfort, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Winn was forced to leave the game in the seventh frame after reaching base on a fielder's choice. Although it sounds like he avoided a major injury, manager Oli Marmol said that the infielder will undergo further examination during the team's off-day Monday. If Wynn is forced to miss any action moving forward, Cesar Prieto could get a shot at taking over at shortstop.
