Norby is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Nationals.

Norby will rest Sunday following a stretch of five consecutive starts in which he went 3-for-14 with one double, three walks, two stolen bases, four runs and one RBI. Though he's seen all but one of his 35 starts at either first base or designated hitter, Norby could end up receiving more run at third base after Miami demoted Graham Pauley to Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday.

Tena is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

Tena started five of the previous six games, but he'll hit the bench Sunday while CJ Abrams gets a day off from playing shortstop as the designated hitter. While Washington may continue to hold him out against left-handed pitching, Tena should start versus right-handers more often than not, as he's maintained a .288/.338/.485 slash line (130 wRC+) over 71 plate appearances in that split this season.

Ruiz is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

After a recent stretch in which he started behind the plate five times in six games, Ruiz will cede catching duties to Drew Millas for the second day in a row. Ruiz delivered his best game of the season earlier in the week when he produced a pair of doubles and a home run in Thursday's win over the Twins, but he's still sitting on a lowly .608 OPS in 2026.

Ferguson (oblique) walked one over a scoreless inning for Triple-A Louisville on Friday.

Ferguson, who also threw Thursday, worked on back-to-back days for the Bats, which is typically a final box to be checked off for a reliever before coming off the injured list. The left-hander has made four appearances combined between Louisville and Double-A Chattanooga. The Reds' bullpen has fallen apart in May (8.47 ERA) and could use Ferguson as soon as possible.

Greene (elbow) is up to 150 feet of long tossing as part of a rehab program in Arizona, Mike Petraglia of MLB.com reports.

Greene is being brought along slowly after undergoing right elbow surgery in March. The Reds are targeting late May for the right-hander to throw a bullpen session, per MLB.com, but he's not expected to re-join the big-league rotation until July.

Waldschmidt started in center field and went 0-for-3 while striking out three times in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Mets.

Waldschmidt, who was called up from Triple-A Reno on Friday, was making his first start in the majors. He was called up after the Diamondbacks designated Alek Thomas for assignment and is expected to receive plenty of opportunities to adapt to MLB pitching.

Marte went 1-for-4 with a double in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Mets.

Marte returned to the lineup Saturday after sitting out one game due to an illness. His eighth-inning double snapped an 0-for-11 slide, but the second baseman continues to fight a recent slump, having gone 3-for-30 (.100) over the last eight games.

Cunningham was placed on the 7-day injured list at Low-A Visalia on Friday and is in the concussion protocol, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

Cunningham was involved in a batting practice incident that led to him landing on the IL. The 19-year-old shortstop is slashing .394/.487/.485 with an 18:15 K:BB over 118 plate appearances for the Rawhide.

Lawlar will undergo imaging this week to determine how his broken right wrist is healing, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

Once the team assesses the state of Lawlar's wrist, they can determine how to proceed with his ramp-up. An earlier report indicated he was doing as much baseball activity as possible without using his right wrist, but that would change with encouraging results from the imaging. Lawlar is scheduled to return in early June.

Santana (thigh) will continue his rehab assignment through the weekend, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports.

There had been talk of Santana being activated this weekend, but the Diamondbacks opted to give him a couple more games at Triple-A Reno before re-evaluating him. He smacked a two-run home run Saturday and has 26 plate appearances over six games for the Aces.
