The Phillies placed Trivino on the 15-day injured list Wednesday due to a right thoracic muscle spasm.

Trivino will be eligible to return from the IL on July 22, though even if he's ready to go by then, it's unclear if the Phillies will have a spot available for him in their bullpen. The journeyman reliever was already dropped from the Orioles' 40-man roster earlier this season, and after the Phillies called him up from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on June 30, Trivino proceeded to give up four runs on four hits and four walks over three innings in his three appearances before landing on the shelf.

Trammell is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.

The left-handed-hitting Trammell will hit the bench for a third straight game, with his last two absences coming against left-handed starting pitchers. Brice Matthews will get the nod in center field Wednesday, but Trammell could still occupy the strong side of a platoon at the position.

Shewmake is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.

Shewmake will join fellow left-handed hitters LaMonte Wade and Taylor Trammell on the bench while the Astros stock up on some extra right-handed bats to counter Nationals southpaw Foster Griffin. Nick Allen will replace Shewmake at shortstop Wednesday, though both players are likely to see their opportunities in the middle infield dwindle this weekend, when Jeremy Pena (calf) is expected to return from the injured list.

Wade will join fellow left-handed hitters Braden Shewmake and Taylor Trammell on the bench while the Astros stock up on some extra right-handed bats to counter Nationals southpaw Foster Griffin. Zach Dezenzo will replace Wade in left field and will bat eighth.

Conine isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Conine will get a breather Wednesday after going 1-for-16 with nine strikeouts to begin the month of July. His absence will allow Heriberto Hernandez to bat sixth while picking up a start in left field.

Liranzo will not play in the All-Star Futures Game on Sunday due to a left finger laceration, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Liranzo was placed on Double-A Erie's 7-day injured list July 3 due to the finger injury. He hasn't progressed enough in his recovery to represent the American League in Sunday's Futures Game and has been replaced by Max Anderson of Triple-A Toledo. Liranzo is slashing .211/.343/.429 with one steal, nine home runs and 31 RBI across 201 plate appearances in Double-A this season.

McMahon is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.

The left-handed-hitting McMahon will hit the bench for the second day in a row while the Rays send another lefty starter (Shane McClanahan) to the bump. Amed Rosario will cover third base in McMahon's stead and will bat third.

Turang is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.

The Brewers will hand Turang his first day off since June 14, after he started each of the previous 22 games, including both legs of Tuesday's doubleheader. With Turang on the bench, Greg Jones will draw the start at second base and will bat ninth.

Ozuna will start at designated hitter and bat seventh Wednesday against Atlanta.

Ozuna will pick up just his second start through the Pirates' first seven games of July. Per Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, general manager Ben Cherington said Wednesday that Ozuna had been managing a toe injury that rendered him unavailable for a few of the Bucs' games in Washington over the weekend, but it's unclear if the 35-year-old would have started in any of those contests even if fully healthy. Ozuna has been a major disappointment this season, having thus far turned in a career-worst .610 OPS while striking out in 30.7 percent of his plate appearances.

The Angels activated Trout (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Wednesday.

Trout will skip a rehab assignment and return to the active roster after missing nearly three weeks of action due to a right hamstring strain. The three-time American League MVP will start at designated hitter and bat second in Wednesday's contest against the Rangers.
