Pereda isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Nationals.

Pereda has notched a base hit in each of his last nine games but will cede a start Saturday to Mitch Garver, who will bat eighth while catching for Luis Castillo.

Arozarena (hamstring) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Nationals.

Arozarena tweaked his hamstring while attempting to leg out an infield single in the third inning of Friday's contest. He'll now miss his first start of the season to allow his hamstring to recover, which will move Luke Raley to left field Saturday while Victor Robles starts in right. Arozarena said Friday that he expects to miss just a couple of days, per Adam Jude of The Seattle Times, so a trip to the IL may not be necessary.

The Tigers optioned Madden to Triple-A Toledo on Saturday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Madden has posted a 3.15 ERA and 1.05 WHIP across 20 innings with the Tigers this season, but he'll end up as the odd man out of a roster spot following Tarik Skubal's (elbow) return from the injured list. Madden's strong performance in the majors makes him a likely candidate to return later this summer whenever Detroit needs a fresh arm.

The Tigers reinstated Skubal (elbow) from the injured list ahead of his start Saturday against Cleveland, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Skubal's start Saturday will mark his first outing since April 29 following a lightning-fast recovery from a procedure to remove loose bodies in his elbow. He made one rehab start at High-A West Michigan during his recovery but threw just 54 pitches, so he'll likely be working under a pitch count while taking on the Guardians. Ty Madden was optioned to Triple-A Toledo in a corresponding move.

The Padres selected Solak's contract from Triple-A El Paso on Saturday.

Solak failed to break camp with the Padres but has been impressive at Triple-A, slashing .333/.412/.512 with nine homers, 40 RBI and 51 runs scored across 241 plate appearances. He'll now join the major-league roster following Miguel Andujar's (hamstring) move to the IL and could make an occasional start for San Diego, thanks to his defensive versatility.

The Padres placed Andujar on the 10-day injured list Saturday, retroactive to Thursday, with a left hamstring strain.

Andujar began dealing with hamstring issues Sunday and hasn't been in the starting lineup since, though he's been able to enter a few games off the bench. Now officially battling a strain, he'll move to the injured list and remain out until at least June 21. Nick Solak was selected to the active roster in a corresponding move.

Bubic (elbow/shoulder) suffered a setback after beginning his rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A Omaha, MLB.com reports.

In his first rehab start while recovering from left elbow soreness, Bubic was knocked around for five earned runs across 1.1 innings Tuesday and apparently emerged from the outing with a shoulder issue. The southpaw is scheduled to see a doctor over the weekend to determine the next steps. Prior to landing on the injured list in mid-May, Bubic posted a 3-2 record with a 4.11 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 51:26 K:BB across 50.1 innings (nine starts).

Mayo isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against San Diego, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Mayo will get a breather after going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts during Friday's series opener. His absence will give Blaze Alexander a start at third base.

Estevez (shoulder) increased his intensity and volume in a flat-ground throwing session Friday, MLB.com reports.

Estevez is slowly progressing in his recovery from a right rotator cuff strain suffered during a rehab assignment May 6 while working back from a left foot contusion. After a return to throwing May 27, the right-hander is increasing the intensity of his work, which is an encouraging sign. A formal timeline for the next steps in the veteran's progression and his return to Kansas City remains unclear, though bullpen sessions and facing live hitters would likely be among the next milestones. Lucas Erceg initially took over as the Royals' primary closer in Estevez's absence but has struggled mightily, opening the door for Alex Lange, who has converted four saves in June.

Rutschman isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Padres, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Rutschman will take a seat Saturday after going 0-for-2 with a walk and an RBI in Friday's win. Samuel Basallo will start behind the plate while Taylor Ward serves as the DH.
