Pagan (hamstring) is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Saturday, MLB.com reports.

This is expected to be a check-in for Pagan to see how much healing has taken place. The Reds really need their closer back, as the bullpen lost another game Friday. Pending the results of the MRI, Pagan could begin a rehab assignment next week.

Groover went 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in Friday's 5-2 win over Cincinnati.

The Diamondbacks left several runners in scoring position prior to Groover singling in the game-tying run in the sixth inning. For the night, Arizona was 2-for-12 with RISP. Groover isn't mashing the ball -- he has no extra-base hits -- but the rookie has hit safely in five consecutive starts and remains part of a rotation with Pavin Smith and Ildemaro Vargas at first base and DH.

Civale (shoulder) is expected to be reinstated from the 15-day injured list to start Wednesday's game against the Pirates in Sacramento, Jason Burke of Roundtable.io reports.

Civale has been on the shelf since May 26 due to right shoulder tendinitis, but he proved he was ready for a return to the big leagues with a stellar showing in his lone rehab appearance Thursday with Triple-A Las Vegas. The veteran right-hander struck out seven over 4.1 perfect innings while spotting 38 of his 56 pitches for strikes. He could be operating with a light restriction on his pitch count Wednesday but should be capable of handling a normal workload in his subsequent starts.

Lawlar started in center field and went 2-for-4 with two RBI, two steals and a run scored in Friday's 5-2 win over the Reds. He was also hit by a pitch.

Fresh off the injured list, Lawlar used his glove, feet and bat to snap Arizona's three-game losing streak: he crashed into the wall, robbing Matt McLain of extra bases in the fourth inning, stole a base and scored the game-tying run in the sixth, and then delivered two insurance runs with a single in the ninth. Since Lawlar landed on the injured list in early April, the Diamondbacks added a pair of prospects to the outfield mix -- Ryan Waldschmidt and Tommy Troy -- and will soon get Lourdes Gurriel (hamstring) back from injury. Playing time will be an issue. "I know [there's curiosity] about what the playing time is going to look like," manager Torey Lovullo told Mike Petraglia of MLB.com following the game. "It's going to be very fluid. There's going to be three guys, four guys for two positions, going to be a little bit of a rotation. They're all going to play."

Weathers (2-5) took the loss Friday, allowing six runs on five hits and one walk over 4.1 innings in a 8-5 loss against the Blue Jays. He struck out two.

The left-hander never got settled in Friday, surrendering three runs in the opening frame, another in the second and two more in the fifth. It's the third consecutive defeat for Weathers, who has an ugly 8.47 ERA with seven homers allowed during that stretch. The 26-year-old has been a boom-or-bust performer this year with at least five runs allowed in five separate starts while giving up one or no earned runs five times.

Springer went 1-for-2 with three walks, a two-run homer and three total runs scored in Friday's 8-5 win over the Yankees.

Springer ended a 14-game homer drought with his second-inning long ball and walked in his three subsequent plate appearances. The 36-year-old went 3-for-22 through the first six games of June, but he's been more productive during his past two contests, going 2-for-5 with five walks, a homer, two RBI and four runs. Despite his .208/.303/.361 slash line through 208 plate appearances this year, Springer has continued to operate as Toronto's primary leadoff man.

Varland picked up the save Friday against the Yankees, striking out two over a perfect ninth inning.

The right-hander saw a streak of 18 straight outings without giving up an earned run come to an end during his previous appearance Tuesday, but he bounced back Friday by throwing 12 of 16 pitches for strikes and securing his 12 save of the year. Varland retains a firm grip on Toronto's closer role with a 0.49 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 48:10 K:BB over 36.2 innings.

Yesavage (3-3) earned the win Friday, allowing five runs on four hits and six walks over five innings against the Yankees. He struck out three.

It certainly wasn't Yesavage's best performance as he walked at least six for the second time this season, though it was enough to net the win since the Blue Jays built up an early lead and tacked on late. The right-hander has surrendered five or more runs in three of his past four starts and has a 6.85 ERA and 18:17 K:BB across 22.1 innings during that span.

Kirk went 3-for-3 with a walk, a double, two RBI and one run scored in Friday's win over the Yankees.

Kirk returned from a two-month absence Friday and made an immediate contribution with an RBI double during the first inning before delivering another run-scoring knock in the fifth. The 27-year-old has now played in six games this season and is batting .261 (6-for-23) with two doubles, a homer, four RBI and three runs.

Williams picked up the save Friday against Atlanta. He allowed two hits and no walks while striking out two and was not charged with a run over 1.1 innings.

The veteran closer was called upon with two outs and runners on second and third in the eighth inning and allowed an inherited runner to score on an infield single, but he then induced a flyout and returned for the ninth to finish off his second save in as many days. Williams has given up just one run with a 12:4 K:BB across his past six appearances and has been scored upon just twice in his past 17 outings dating back to April 26. His 5.01 ERA and 1.50 WHIP remain inflated, but Williams has still secured 10 of 11 save chances and has a 14.3 K/9 across 23.1 innings this year.
