White Sox manager Will Venable said Friday that Teel (knee/hamstring) will embark on a rehab assignment soon and is working toward returning from the 60-day injured list in the next few days, Bruce Levine of 670TheScore.com reports.

Levine relays that Teel's hamstring strain has fully healed, and the catcher's right knee strain is close to full recovery. Teel will go on a rehab assignment in the minor leagues in the coming days, and if all goes well, he could be cleared to make his 2026 regular-season debut by late June. His return would mean less reps available for both Edgar Quero and Drew Romo.

McCarthy (illness) isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against the Athletics.

McCarthy will sit out a third consecutive game Friday while he continues to recover from an illness. Sterlin Thompson, Cole Carrigg and Troy Johnston will form Colorado's outfield trio with McCarthy out.

Adames (lower body) will start at shortstop and bat sixth Friday against the Cubs, Evan Webeck of the California Post reports.

Adames sat out the Giants' last game Wednesday due to pain in his lower half, but he's been cleared to return to action for Friday's series opener against the Cubs. The 30-year-old backstop has slugged three home runs in nine games since the start of June but is 0-for-17 with nine strikeouts in his last four contests.

Dominguez (shoulder) will play two more games with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre before being re-evaluated by the Yankees on Monday, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Dominguez was cleared to embark on a rehab assignment June 5 and has gone 4-for-14 (.286) with one home run, two RBI and two steals across four minor-league games. He has at least two more games in Triple-A on tap, but if the evaluation on his left shoulder goes well, Dominguez could be back with the Yankees for their home series opener against the White Sox on Tuesday.

The Brewers recalled Yoho from Triple-A Nashville on Friday.

Yoho will return to the Brewers' bullpen to fill the void left by Coleman Crow, who landed on the injured list Friday with a forearm strain. Yoho has allowed one run and struck out five batters in three innings with the big club this season and will likely work in middle relief as long as he's in the majors.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Friday that Fried (elbow) will throw off a mound Saturday, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Recent imaging on Fried's left elbow showed increased healing, and the southpaw is ready to take the next step in his recovery from a bone bruise that caused him to go on the 15-day injured list in mid-May. Per Bryan Hoch of MLB.com, Saturday's session will be "touch and feel" in what will be Fried's first time throwing off a mound since being placed on the IL. The Yankees should gain a better sense of Fried's injury recovery once the southpaw is cleared to embark on a rehab assignment, which could happen in late June.

The Brewers placed Crow on the 15-day injured list Friday, retroactive to Wednesday, with a right forearm flexor strain.

Crow pitched two shutout innings during his last outing Tuesday against the A's, but he appears to have come away from his appearance with forearm problems. He'll be forced to miss at least the next two weeks as a result, and the Brewers will recall Craig Yoho from Triple-A Nashville to fill the open spot in their bullpen.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Friday that the team will wait until after the weekend series against the Blue Jays before deciding whether Wells (head) will be activated off the 10-day injured list or embark on a rehab assignment, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.

Wells landed on the 10-day IL this past Saturday due to cervical headaches and was cleared for baseball activities Wednesday. How he progresses in his recovery will determine whether he'll be activated from the IL ahead of Tuesday's home series opener against the White Sox. J.C. Escarra and Ali Sanchez will both continue to see increased reps behind home plate for as long as Wells is sidelined.

The Rockies transferred Dollander (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Friday.

Dollander initially landed on the injured list in mid-May with a sprained right elbow, and his move to the 60-day IL will ensure he remains sidelined through the All-Star break. The Rockies don't believe the 24-year-old will require surgery, though he is still seeking out a second opinion. Sean Sullivan was selected to the active roster in a corresponding move.

The Rockies optioned Peralta to Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday.

Peralta was promoted from Triple-A on Sunday and gave up a solo homer while striking out three batters across two innings during his lone outing with the big club. He'll now end up as the roster casualty necessary to make room for Sean Sullivan, who was called up to start Friday's contest.
