Rolison retired the only batter he faced to record the save in Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Padres.

The lefty Rolison was tapped for a matchup against Jackson Merrill to end the game. As he's done all season, the southpaw shut the door against a left-handed batter, and this time it earned him his first career MLB save. Rolison is limiting lefties to a .152 batting average, and he's recorded 17 strikeouts across 14.1 innings in those matchups. That's helped stake the reliever to a stellar 1.97 ERA overall this year. Rolison isn't Chicago's first option for saves at the moment, but he's quickly earning trust in the team's bullpen.

Swanson went 3-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Padres.

Swanson has started to get his bat going recently with a .340 average, six home runs and a whopping 21 RBI over his last 12 games. The hot stretch is beginning to make up for a rough start to the season for the veteran shortstop. Overall, Swanson is now batting .203 with a .691 OPS, 13 home runs and 49 RBI in 82 contests.

Alvarez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Blue Jays.

Alvarez launched what proved to be the game-winning homer in the top of the fifth inning. In 19 games since returning from the injured list June 9, the 24-year-old is hitting .265 with five homers, nine RBI and seven runs scored. On the year, he's slashing .250/.313/.439 with nine long balls, 19 RBI and 19 runs scored across just 200 plate appearances.

Abrams went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 8-1 win over the Red Sox.

Abrams launched a 402-foot blast off Tommy Kahnle in the top of the eighth inning. The 25-year-old has gone just 2-for-22 with 12 strikeouts over his past six games, though both hits have gone for extra bases. Overall, he's still slashing a strong .273/.355/.511 with 18 homers, 60 RBI, 52 runs scored and 13 steals across 355 plate appearances in what could earn him a nod as the National League's starting shortstop in this year's All-Star Game.

Ruiz went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, three RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 8-1 win over the Red Sox.

Ruiz laced what proved to be a game-winning RBI single in the seventh inning before adding a two-run double in the ninth. The catcher has now hit safely in 10 of his past 12 games, tallying a home run, six RBI, eight runs scored and a stolen base over that span. For the year, he's slashing .285/.316/.475 with six homers, 33 RBI, 26 runs scored and two steals across 190 plate appearances.

Crawford went 3-for-4 with a double, three RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 8-0 win over the Pirates.

While Crawford isn't hitting for much power overall, he's still been swinging a fairly hot bat as of late. The rookie center fielder finished out the month of June having gone 23-for-75 (.307) with no home runs, four doubles, seven RBI and three stolen bases over 27 games. With Adolis Garcia (lat) and Johan Rojas (elbow) both done for the season, the left-handed-hitting Crawford is locked in as Philadelphia's primary center fielder.

Cavalli (5-4) earned the win against the Red Sox on Tuesday, allowing one unearned run on one hit and no walks with 13 strikeouts over seven innings.

Cavalli was dominant after allowing an unearned run in the first inning, striking out a career-high 13 batters while retiring the final 19 he faced. He generated a whopping 25 swinging strikes on 100 pitches, including 15 with his four-seam fastball. While it marked the first time this season he did not allow an earned run, the 27-year-old has now held opponents to three earned runs or fewer in 16 of 18 outings. He'll take a 3.69 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 102:29 K:BB across 90.1 innings into a home matchup with the Astros next week.

Vilade went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and an additional run scored during the Rays' 10-4 win over the Royals on Tuesday.

Although Vilade is stuck in a part-time role, he's been effective when given playing time in 2026. Through 215 plate appearances, the utility man is slashing .278/.343/.484 with six homers, six doubles, 28 RBI and three stolen bases. Jake Fraley (hernia) is on a minor-league rehab assignment, and his eventual return to the Rays will create another obstacle to at-bats for Vilade.

The Red Sox are expected to designate Kahnle for assignment following Tuesday's loss to the Nationals, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Kahnle is poised to lose his spot on the 40-man roster after he gave up four earned runs on four hits and one walk in the eighth inning of Tuesday's contest, giving the righty an 8.00 ERA and 2.00 WHIP through nine innings at the big-league level. Alec Gamboa is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday to claim the vacant bullpen spot.

Skubal (8-4) earned the win against the Yankees on Tuesday, allowing two runs (one earned) on one hit and no walks with nine strikeouts over six innings.

Going against fellow ace Cam Schlittler, Skubal generated 13 swinging strikes on 87 pitches en route to his first win since April 18. The outing marked the first quality start in four turns since returning from the injured list for the 29-year-old, who has allowed seven homers during that span while still posting a strong 0.85 WHIP and 30:2 K:BB. He'll carry a 3.15 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 75:8 K:BB across 65.2 innings this season into a home matchup with the Athletics next week.
