Sykora (elbow) began a throwing progression at the Nationals' complex in Florida earlier this month and is on schedule in his recovery from the UCL reconstruction surgery he underwent last August, MLB.com reports.

Sykora isn't in line to pitch with an affiliate at any point in 2026, but if he steers clear of any setbacks during his throwing progression and resumes facing hitters by the end of the season, Washington could let him get some innings in during the Arizona Fall League. Regarded as one of the Nationals' top prospects, the 22-year-old righty should head into spring training next February with few restrictions, if any. He could make his MLB debut later next summer if he's able to regain his pre-surgery velocity and command.

Thomas went 2-for-5 with an RBI, a run scored and a steal in Sunday's 5-4 victory over the White Sox.

Thomas was penciled into the leadoff spot with left-hander Anthony Kay on the mound for the White Sox and made an immediate impact, leading off the first inning with a single before stealing second base and scoring on a Carter Jensen hit. Thomas also came through in his second at-bat, lining a slider into left field for an RBI single in the second inning. On the year, the outfielder is slashing .216/.329/.335 with five homers, 23 RBI, 20 runs and four stolen bases across 70 appearances. With Kyle Isbel (foot) sidelined, Thomas has shifted into a regular role in center field for the Royals.

Jensen went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI in Sunday's 5-4 victory over the White Sox.

Jensen extended his hitting streak to 19 games, doing so with a game-high three hits and a pair of RBI. The young catcher has turned it on in June, slashing .292/.333/.510 with four homers, nine doubles, 19 RBI and 17 runs scored across 24 appearances this month. The surge has significantly boosted Jensen's season line to .251/.317/.438 with 11 homers, 17 doubles, 45 RBI and 39 runs scored across 78 games.

Hicks (back) is expected to return from the 10-day injured list Tuesday in Colorado when first eligible, MLB.com reports.

Hicks participated in full baseball activities Friday and is swinging without limitations and able to catch. The Marlins have an ideal seven-game schedule this week, facing the Rockies and Athletics in hitter-friendly venues. Even though he'll remain out for the Marlins' opening game in Colorado, Hicks looks like a viable option in weekly leagues that start two catchers.

Parker exited in the bottom of the seventh inning during his relief appearance in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Orioles due to left elbow discomfort, MLB.com reports. The left-hander struck out two and gave up two runs on two hits and one walk over 1.2 innings before departing the game.

Parker entered Sunday's game in the bottom of the sixth inning with the Nationals ahead 5-2, but despite surrendering a two-run home run in the appearance, he came away with his seventh hold of the season. The Nationals likely were counting on Parker to finish out the seventh inning, but he was lifted with two outs in the frame after he was in noticeable discomfort following a four-pitch walk. Manager Blake Butera said after the game that Parker won't be available for Monday's series opener against Pittsburgh and will be re-evaluated Tuesday.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Friday that Judge isn't expected to be ready for a re-evaluation later this week, when he'll be at the four-week mark in his recovery from a stress fracture of the first rib on his right side, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

At the time Judge was placed on the 10-day injured list June 5, the Yankees announced that the three-time MVP was scheduled to be re-evaluated in 4-to-6 weeks. Though Judge hasn't necessarily suffered any setbacks while resting for much of June, Boone noted that the 34-year-old is moving slowly through the recovery process and may get follow-up imaging on his rib closer to the six-week mark. With that timeline in mind, Judge can be safely ruled out through the All-Star break, and an early August return from the IL could be ambitious if he isn't cleared to resume baseball activities immediately following his re-evaluation.

Semien was diagnosed Monday with a Grade 3 left hip flexor strain and is expected to be out for 4-to-6 weeks, at a minimum, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Semien initially tried to play through the injury, but it was too debilitating and he eventually landed on the 10-day injured list Thursday. While the 35-year-old infielder is shelved, the Mets will continue to use Brett Baty as their primary second baseman, with Ronny Mauricio also in the mix for some starts.

Ewing went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in Sunday's loss to the Phillies.

The rookie began the game on the bench to avoid southpaw Jesus Luzardo, but Ewing made an impact when he pinch hit for Tyrone Taylor in the sixth inning and took Chase Shugart deep to tie the game at 3-3, before the Phillies reclaimed the lead for good in the top of the seventh. Ewing has hit safely in five straight games, going 8-for-16 with two of his four homers on the year along with a double, a steal, three runs, six RBI and a 3:1 BB:K.

Williams (elbow) struck out a batter and allowed four runs (two earned) on four hits and no walks while recording two outs in a rehab start Sunday with Single-A Fredericksburg.

Williams spotted 18 of his 26 pitches for strikes in the rehab start -- his first at any level since undergoing an internal brace procedure last July -- but that was about the only positive takeaway from Sunday's outing. The veteran right-hander will likely need the full 30-day rehab window to build up his pitch count and iron out his command, so he likely won't be in consideration for a spot in the Washington rotation until late July or early August. Before requiring surgery last summer, Williams struggled in 17 starts with Washington, posting a 6.21 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 65:21 K:BB in 82.2 innings.

Myers didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Phillies, giving up three runs on six hits over three relief innings as the Mets fell 5-4. He struck out three without walking a batter.

After Cionel Perez worked a perfect first inning as the opener, Myers took the mound and quickly ran into trouble as the visitors piled up three runs in the third. Myers was lifted after 59 pitches (48 strikes), his biggest workload of the year, but Kodai Senga then covered the final five frames. The Mets still have a vacancy in their fifth starter spot after trading David Peterson to the Cubs, but Senga seems a more likely candidate to work in bulk relief than Myers until the team settles on a longer-term solution. Over 24 appearances (three starts) and 42 innings in the majors this season, Myers carries a 6.21 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 32:12 K:BB.
