Mack went 4-for-4 with three runs Tuesday in the Marlins' 10-6 win over the Diamondbacks.

With a .203 batting average, the rookie catcher was barely sitting above the Mendoza Line for the season at the end of May, but his bat has begun to heat up in June. Through seven games on the month, Mack has gone 9-for-23 with a home run and a double, lifting his season average up by 50 points in the process. Mack is still expected to provide most of his value to the Marlins through his defense behind the plate, but he offers a bit of pop and should play frequently enough to make for a viable lineup option in fantasy leagues that start two catchers.

Muncy went 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, a run and an RBI in a 12-3 win over Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

Muncy had no trouble with Pirates ace Paul Skenes, logging three hits against the star hurler, including a double and a run-scoring single. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts pulled Muncy in the seventh frame after Los Angeles had grabbed a 10-run lead, but that decision appeared to be entirely to give the third baseman some extra rest. Muncy has been swinging the bat well of late, going 9-for-19 over his past six games. His overall .875 OPS would be his highest mark since 2021.

Mayer is out of the lineup for Wednesday's contest at Tampa Bay.

The left-handed-hitting Mayer will get a rare day off versus a right-handed starting pitcher, as the Rays are sending Drew Rasmussen to the bump. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will handle shortstop for the Red Sox, leaving Andruw Monasterio to cover second base.

Jones is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

Jones hit just .167 while striking out at a 44.4 percent clip during a 10-game stint in the majors back in May, but he's gotten off to a nice start since receiving another call-up to New York last week after Aaron Judge's (rib) placement on the injured list. In his four games (three starts) upon rejoining the Yankees, Jones has gone 6-for-12 with two extra-base hits (one home run, one double) and an 0:4 BB:K. The Yankees will hold the left-handed-hitting Jones out of the lineup Wednesday while southpaw Parker Messick takes the hill for Cleveland, but the 25-year-old rookie should be in line for an extended run as a starter versus right-handed pitching so long as he can hit for power and get on base at a steady rate.

McMahon is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

After going 3-for-5 with a solo home run and a walk while starting at third base in the first two games of the series, the left-handed-hitting McMahon will be held out of the lineup for the finale while southpaw Parker Messick toes the rubber for Cleveland. Amed Rosario will replace McMahon at third base and will bat cleanup.

The Red Sox recalled Bennett from Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

Bennett will make a start against the Rays on Wednesday at Tropicana Field. The left-hander yielded five earned runs on 11 hits with a 4:4 K:BB in two starts with the Red Sox last month and boasts a 1.49 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 41:9 K:BB in 42.1 innings over 10 starts for Worcester. Bennett could get an opportunity to stick in the rotation for a while until Garrett Crochet (lat) is ready.

Escarra is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.

Left-hander Parker Messick is on the bump for Cleveland, so the left-handed-hitting Escarra will give way to the right-handed-hitting Ali Sanchez behind the dish in the series finale. Escarra was included in the lineup against righties in the first two games of the series and appears poised to occupy the strong side of a platoon at catcher while top backstop Austin Wells (headaches) is on the shelf.

Williamson will start at second base and bat sixth in Wednesday's game against the Red Sox, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

Williamson suffered an injury scare back on May 29, when he was hit on the left hand by a pitch and needed to be removed from a game against the Angels. After X-rays returned negative, Williamson was back in the lineup a day later, and he's now drawn eight starts out of the middle infield in the Rays' last 12 games. Four of those starts have come against left-handed pitchers, and two of the starts against righties came while Taylor Walls was out of the lineup due to a hamstring injury, so the Rays may still be viewing Williamson largely as a short-side platoon player.

The Red Sox optioned Gamboa to Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

He's clearing out to make space on the roster for Jake Bennett, who will start Wednesday's contest in Tampa Bay. Gamboa made one appearance during his brief stint with the Red Sox, retiring both batters he faced.

Atlanta recalled Ritchie from Triple-A Gwinnett on Wednesday.

Ritchie had an up-and-down first stint in the majors, posting a 4.91 ERA and 21:16 K:BB over 25.2 innings in his five starts. It appears he will operate in a relief role this time around, providing the team with a bullpen arm capable of covering multiple innings.
