Simpson (thumb) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Marlins, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Simpson will receive a day off Saturday after making an early exit from Friday's game with left thumb discomfort. While he sits, Richie Palacios, Cedric Mullins and Victor Mesa will start across the outfield for the Rays.

Feduccia isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Miami, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Feduccia will retreat to the bench for a third consecutive game Saturday while Nick Fortes starts at catcher and bats ninth. Feduccia may have dropped down a spot on the depth chart, though neither of Tampa Bay's backstops have performed well enough offensively this season to warrant consistent playing time.

Brown (shoulder) will make his next start at Triple-A Sugar Land on Wednesday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Manager Joe Espada said Friday that the Astros were debating whether to have Brown make another start in the minors, and they've officially decided to keep the right-hander in Triple-A for one more tuneup outing before activating him. Starting Wednesday would line him up to return from the 60-day IL on June 15 to face the Tigers at home.

Vargas (thigh) is not in the Diamondbacks' starting lineup against the Nationals on Saturday.

Vargas is dealing with a left thigh contusion that forced him to leave Thursday's game against the Dodgers. He entered Friday's game against Washington after being absent from the starting lineup, so Vargas could be available off the bench for the Diamondbacks for Saturday's contest. LuJames Groover will start at first base and bat eighth.

Harris (back) is not in Atlanta's starting lineup against Pittsburgh on Saturday, Chad Bishop of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Harris was removed from Friday's game due to back tightness. He's not quite ready to return to the lineup but is available as a pinch hitter Saturday, per Mark Bowman of MLB.com. Atlanta will start Mike Yastrzemski, Mauricio Dubon and Ronald Acuna in the outfield from left to right.

Basallo (abdomen) isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Toronto.

Basallo will officially miss a start after exiting Friday's game with right abdominal discomfort. Sam Huff was selected from Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday to provide depth at catcher in case Basallo needs to spend time on the injured list, though it remains unknown whether that will be necessary. Taylor Ward will work as Baltimore's DH in place of Basallo on Saturday, opening up left field for Blaze Alexander.

Urias (elbow) returned to St. Louis to undergo an examination on his left elbow, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Urias landed on the 10-day injured list in early May due to right elbow lateral epicondylitis, but he came out of his rehab assignment with Triple-A Memphis on Friday due to pain in his left elbow. The result of Saturday's tests will determine the next steps for Urias' rehab program.

Ward will serve as the designated hitter and bat leadoff Saturday against the Blue Jays.

The 32-year-old will move from his usual post in left field to designated hitter Saturday while Samuel Basallo sits with an abdominal injury. Ward has begun to heat up at the plate recently, tallying seven base hits while scoring three runs across his last three games.

Smith isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Athletics, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Smith will get a chance to regroup Saturday after going hitless in four of his last five games. While he sits, LaMonte Wade, Jake Meyers and Taylor Trammell will form the Astros' outfield trio.

The Diamondbacks recalled Jameson from Triple-A Reno on Saturday.

The move corresponds with Kade Strowd being optioned to Reno following Friday's game against the Nationals. Jameson has spent the entire 2026 season in Triple-A, where he has a 7.33 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 23:12 K:BB across 23.1 innings. He appeared in three regular-season games for the Diamondbacks in 2025, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and three walks over three innings while logging one save.
