The White Sox reinstated Gilbert from the family medical emergency list Thursday.

Gilbert will rejoin the active roster after spending a few days away from the team to tend to a family emergency. He's given up four runs over 2.2 innings in the majors this season but owns a 2.12 ERA and 0.65 WHIP at Triple-A Charlotte since being sent down to the minors in mid-April. Chris Murphy was optioned to Charlotte in a corresponding move.

Chourio went 3-for-4 with two home runs, four RBI, four runs scored and a walk in Thursday's 12-9 loss to the Giants.

It was a banner performance by Chourio, who recorded the third multi-homer game of his career and his first of the year. The four RBI were also a season high in what was the star outfielder's second effort of the campaign with at least three knocks. Chourio has been a five-category fantasy producer when healthy in 2026, batting .308 with four long balls, 16 RBI, five stolen bases and 19 runs scored over 107 at-bats.

The Rangers are expected to activate Seager (back) from the injured list Friday prior to the series opener versus the Guardians, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Seager began a rehab assignment with Double-A Frisco on Tuesday, and he's ready to come off the IL after going 1-for-5 in two minor-league games. The shortstop hit the 10-day injured list May 18 due to lower-back inflammation and had some postponements in his recovery along the way. The Rangers are likely to send Cody Freeman and Alejandro Osuna down, opening up a spot for Seager and another player.

Rogers (3-6) earned the win Thursday over the Red Sox, allowing a run on five hits and a walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out three.

The Orioles provided Rogers with more than enough run support Thursday, scoring six runs before the southpaw took the mound in the first inning. Rogers certainly did his part as well, blanking the Red Sox over five innings before allowing a lone run on a Willson Contreras two-out single in the sixth. It's certainly an encouraging effort from Rogers, who hadn't held opponents to fewer than four runs in any of his previous four starts -- he struggled to a 10.44 ERA across 25 frames in his previous six outings. Rogers will carry a 6.29 ERA with a 1.51 WHIP and 41:19 K:BB into his next start, tentatively scheduled to come next week at home against the Mariners.

The Pirates traded La Sorsa to the Red Sox on Thursday, Ari Alexander of 7 News Boston reports.

La Sorsa will be active Friday for the Red Sox while they are in New York playing the Yankees. The southpaw exercised his upward-mobility clause at the end of May, and he'll now get a look in the majors with Boston. The Pirates are receiving cash considerations in return, per Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

X-rays on Anderson's right forearm came back negative following his removal from Thursday's game against the Giants, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Anderson was pulled from the game after taking an 89.6-mph line drive off his right forearm in the seventh inning. He managed to escape the incident with nothing more than a bruise and will travel with the team for its upcoming road series in Colorado, but he could still be held out of action for a game or two to give his forearm a chance to recover.

Manager Pat Murphy said after Thursday's game against the Giants that Hall was removed due to left pectoral discomfort, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Murphy added that Hall is slated to undergo an MRI to determine the severity of his injury, so more information on his status may be available ahead of the Brewers' series opener against Colorado on Friday. The 27-year-old southpaw has been enjoying one of the best seasons of his career so far, posting a 2.03 ERA and 1.23 WHIP through 31 innings.

Ohtani is not in the lineup Thursday versus the Diamondbacks.

Ohtani is getting the day off as planned following his two-way start in Wednesday's 7-0 win over the Diamondbacks. Will Smith has the start as the designated hitter and is batting fifth while Mookie Betts takes Ohtani's typical leadoff spot.

Killian secured the save Thursday against the Brewers, allowing no runs on one hit and no walks in the ninth inning. He struck out one.

The Giants have yet to settle on a definitive closer since optioning Ryan Walker to the minor leagues, but Killian has found his way into the ninth-inning mix. Milwaukee scored three runs in the ninth Thursday to make it a 12-9 game and create a save opportunity, and the 29-year-old right-hander managed to extinguish the fire. Through 27.2 frames, Killian has a 3.58 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 30:14 K:BB with four saves in five chances.

Houser took a no-decision Thursday against the Brewers, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits and three walks in 4.1 innings. He struck out five.

Houser bookended his outing poorly, giving up one earned run in the first and fifth frames before his day ended, but a fifth-inning Willy Adames throwing error at least kept one earned run off the hurler's ledger. The 33-year-old right-hander hasn't been all that effective at missing bats in 2026, fanning fewer than six in all 12 of his starts, and he also remains without a scoreless appearance. Houser will take a rough 5.49 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 40:24 K:BB over 60.2 innings into his next scheduled appearance against an upstart Nationals lineup.
