Whitlock (knee) "felt really good" while throwing a side session Tuesday, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

The right-hander was shut down from throwing for a few days late last week after experiencing some knee discomfort following an injection, but he's now returned to mound work with no issues. Whitlock landed on the shelf May 28 due to knee inflammation and may not need an extended stay on the IL if he continues building his throwing program back up with no further issues.

The Cubs optioned Wicks to Triple-A Iowa on Tuesday.

He has been rocked for 11 runs over 6.1 innings in his two starts for the Cubs this season. Wicks' demotion seems to clear the way for Edward Cabrera (finger) to rejoin the rotation this weekend against the Giants.

Phillies interim manager Don Mattingly said Tuesday that he expects Realmuto (wrist) to return to the lineup Wednesday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Realmuto had to exit Sunday's game versus the Dodgers after being hit on the left wrist by a pitch, and he is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's contest against the Padres due to lingering soreness. However, the veteran backstop managed to avoid any broken bones and it sounds like it will be merely a one-game absence. Garrett Stubbs is doing the catching for Philadelphia in Tuesday's series opener.

The Tigers optioned Lee to Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old has been up in the majors since mid-April but will return to Triple-A with Gleyber Torres (oblique) coming off the injured list Tuesday. In his first taste of the big leagues, Lee posted a .205/.241/.337 slash line with two home runs, nine RBI and six runs in 32 games.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday that Dominguez (shoulder) will hit live pitching Wednesday and likely begin a rehab assignment later this week, Chelsea Janes of SNY.tv reports.

Wednesday's session will mark Dominguez's first time facing live pitching since he suffered a left shoulder AC joint sprain in early May. As long as he gets through it without any hiccups, he'll be cleared to return to games. Dominguez's role with the Yankees could be dependent on whether he makes it back from the injured list before or after Giancarlo Stanton (calf).

Mikolas is not starting Tuesday against the Marlins but is likely to follow opener Richard Lovelady, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

It'll be the seventh bulk-relief appearance of the season for Mikolas, who has a 3.91 ERA and 1.18 WHIP when working behind an opener this year compared to an 8.28 ERA as a tradition starter (six games). Even with the improved results, Mikolas doesn't have much fantasy appeal with a 13:4 K:BB across 25.1 innings when working in bulk relief.

Atlanta manager Walt Weiss said Tuesday that Baldwin (oblique) could be activated from the 10-day injured list during the team's June 16-21 homestand, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Baldwin has been sidelined for the past two weeks with a Grade 1 right oblique strain. He has yet to resume swinging a bat, and Weiss has ruled the catcher out for a return during the team's current homestand or next week's road trip. However, Baldwin has progressed enough that a return around the middle of June looks doable.

Martinez (foot) is starting in right field and batting fifth Tuesday against the Yankees, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

Martinez strained his right foot during Saturday's game against the Red Sox, but the injury apparently isn't much of a concern since he's back in the lineup a couple days later. After a hot start to the season that saw him close out April with a .792 OPS, the 24-year-old ended May in the midst of a 4-for-29 slump.

The Guardians reinstated Kwan (personal) from the bereavement/family medical emergency list, and he's starting in left field and batting seventh Tuesday against the Yankees, Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reports.

The 28-year-old stepped away from the team Thursday to be with his family for personal reasons, but he's rejoined the Guardians for Tuesday's series opener in the Bronx. In the four games prior to his absence, Kwan went 5-for-14 with two walks, one RBI and two runs scored. He's without an extra-base hit in his past eight contests and is slugging just .259 through 234 plate appearances this year.

Lagrange is being moved to the bullpen at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Jack Curry of YES Network reports.

It's unclear whether this is a permanent move, but Lagrange's best chance to contribute to the Yankees this season is as a reliever. The hard-throwing righty has posted a 4.41 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 63:25 K:BB over 49 innings in 2026 at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Per Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News, manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday that it will be "several weeks" before Lagrange is under consideration for the major-league bullpen, as he will have to go through a de-load period before being cleared for more frequent usage.
