Atlanta manager Walt Weiss said May 13 that Waldrep (elbow) has felt fine since he began throwing bullpen sessions earlier in the month, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Though Waldrep has made good progress in his recovery from the arthroscopic procedure he underwent Feb. 23 to remove loose bodies from his right elbow, Weiss noted that the 24-year-old hurler isn't far along enough in his throwing program for Atlanta to establish a definitive timeline for his return. A clearer target date for Waldrep should become available once he advances to facing hitters. After he reaches that step, Waldrep will then head out on what's expected to be a lengthy minor-league rehab assignment before he gets activated from the 15-day injured list.

The Twins recalled Adams from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday.

The right-hander spent a few days with the Twins earlier this month before returning to St. Paul, and he's now back in the big leagues ahead of Tuesday's matchup with the Astros. Adams has surrendered three earned runs with a 5:2 K:BB over 3.2 frames in the majors this year.

The Twins transferred Acton (shoulder) to the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

The Twins needed to free up a spot on their 40-man roster. Acton has been shelved since late April with a right shoulder strain and now won't be eligible to return until late June.

The Orioles designated Handley for assignment Tuesday.

The 28-year-old was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Monday and has now lost his place on Baltimore's 40-man roster. Handley has had two stints in the majors this season and struck out in his lone plate appearance.

The Orioles selected Suarez's contract from Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Suarez will provide a much-needed fresh relief arm after the Orioles' bullpen had to cover 4.1 innings in Monday's blowout loss to the Rays. He's posted a 3.45 ERA and a 9:9 K:BB in 15.2 innings with Baltimore this season.

The Orioles optioned Foster to Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Foster made only one appearance during this most recent stint with the big club, surrendering four runs over 1.1 innings. His spot on the roster and in the bullpen will be absorbed by Albert Suarez.

Rangers manager Skip Schumaker said that Gore will most likely undergo an MRI on Tuesday after exiting Monday's 7-6 loss to the Rockies after one inning due to left lat tightness, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

After the game, Gore described his early exit as precautionary, noting that he felt a cramp behind his shoulder blade that had been presenting some discomfort. Gore was charged with two runs on three hits and two walks during the 28-pitch inning, and both his fastball and sinker velocities were down just over a mile per hour from their season averages. The upcoming imaging should shed more light on the severity of Gore's injury, but the Rangers aren't yet ruling the southpaw out from making his next turn through the rotation, which would fall Sunday in Anaheim.

The Twins selected Jackson's contract from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday, Aaron Gleeman of AaronGleeman.com reports.

The 30-year-old failed to make Minnesota's Opening Day roster but elected to stay with the organization at Triple-A St. Paul, and he'll now get a chance in the majors with Ryan Jeffers (hand) landing on the injured list. Jackson had a .763 OPS in 100 plate appearances with the Orioles in 2025 and should serve as the backup catcher to Victor Caratini while Jeffers is sidelined.

The Twins placed Jeffers on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a fractured left hamate bone, Aaron Gleeman of AaronGleeman.com reports.

The initial diagnosis when Jeffers was forced to depart Monday's game versus the Astros was that he suffered a sprained wrist, but a subsequent MRI revealed the hamate fracture. He's sure to require surgery and will likely need at least six-plus weeks of recovery time. Victor Caratini will take over as the Twins' primary catcher, and Alex Jackson has been summoned from the minors to provide depth.

The Twins designated Topa for assignment Tuesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

The transaction clears a spot on the 40-man roster for the addition of Orlando Arcia. Topa is one of eight Twins relievers to notch a save this season, but he's been highly ineffective overall and particularly of late, yielding 12 runs across 5.1 innings in May. Given his $1.225 million salary, Topa is likely to pass through waivers unclaimed.
