Garcia (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Omaha on Thursday.

Garcia has been sidelined for the past three weeks with a strained left hamstring, but he's been cleared to test things out in game action. The 26-year-old could be ready to rejoin the active roster in the coming days if things go smoothly on his rehab assignment.

The Orioles recalled Jackson from Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday.

He will provide utility depth and could get some starts against left-handed pitching while Blaze Alexander (back) is sidelined. Jackson has slashed .226/.255/.359 with seven home runs in 89 games for the Orioles this season.

The Orioles placed Alexander on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with low-back discomfort.

Alexander had to be pulled from Tuesday's game versus the Guardians after his back started acting up on him, and ultimately the issue has forced another IL stint. He just returned from an extended absence less than two weeks ago due to a hand fracture. Jeremiah Jackson is taking Alexander's spot on the active roster.

Suarez (elbow) will throw a live batting practice session next week, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

If Suarez's live BP goes well, he'll then be cleared to begin a rehab assignment. The veteran reliever has not pitched in a game since late June, but with time running short on the regular season, Suarez might not be afforded too many rehab outings before being activated. He's working his way back from right elbow inflammation.

The Diamondbacks optioned Walston to Triple-A Reno on Wednesday.

Walston picked up the win in Tuesday's extra-innings victory over the Royals but finds himself back in the minors a day later. The win was the lefty's first in the majors since 2024, as he missed the 2025 campaign following Tommy John surgery.

The Diamondbacks optioned Strowd to Triple-A Reno on Wednesday.

Roster space was needed for the returns of Zac Gallen (elbow) and Michael Soroka (shoulder). Strowd was in the majors for one day and tossed 1.2 scoreless frames out of the bullpen against the Royals on Tuesday.

Chisholm has been diagnosed with a right thumb sprain and will be placed on the 10-day injured list, Pete Caldera of The Bergen Record reports.

Chisholm suffered the injury on a slide into second base during Tuesday's game versus the Rockies. He will be shut down from baseball activities for 7-to-10 days before being re-evaluated. Given the timing of the injury, it's possible Chisholm won't make it back before the end of the regular season. Anthony Volpe could replace Chisholm on the active roster, and if that happens Volpe is an option to share starts at second base with Jose Caballero.

Orioles manager Craig Albernaz said that Henderson (foot) will not be in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Henderson had to be lifted from Tuesday's contest after fouling a ball off his foot, and he remains sore. The Orioles are idle Thursday, so Henderson will aim to return to action Friday when Baltimore begins a road trip in Toronto.

The Diamondbacks activated Soroka (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list Wednesday.

The 29-year-old will follow starter Zac Gallen in Kansas City on Wednesday in what's expected to be a piggyback appearance. Soroka did not make any rehab appearances, instead opting for a 59-pitch simulated game Friday. The right-hander could make some starts later this month, though the Diamondbacks have not divulged their specific plans for the righty.

The Diamondbacks activated Gallen (elbow) from the 60-day injured list Wednesday.

Gallen will rejoin the Diamondbacks' rotation with a start Wednesday in Kansas City after missing the past two months due to right elbow inflammation. The right-hander built up to four innings and 60 pitches during a simulated game Friday, so he should be capable of around 70 pitches. Michael Soroka (shoulder) was also activated from the IL and will work behind Gallen in Wednesday's series finale.
