Turang will start at second base and bat sixth in Friday's game versus the Reds.

It's the first time all season that Turang has hit lower than third in the Brewers' lineup. The 26-year-old is slashing just .174/.262/.239 with one home run and a 29.8 percent strikeout rate since the beginning of August. Turang missed four games in mid-August with left knee discomfort, and Brewers manager Pat Murphy admitted Friday that the knee issue still affects the second baseman, according to Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. However, there do not appear to be any plans for Turang to miss additional games as Milwaukee tries to maintain its spot as the top seed for the NL playoffs.

Marsee is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Cubs.

Marsee started the previous six games -- including three versus left-handed pitching -- but will hit the bench against Chicago southpaw Shota Imanaga on Friday. Esteury Ruiz is manning center field and batting sixth in the series opener for Miami.

Caissie (neck) is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Cubs.

It's the third straight absence for Caissie as he battles neck spasms, though he may have been on the bench regardless Friday against Chicago southpaw Shota Imanaga. Griffin Conine will shift to right field while Agustin Ramirez bats fifth as the designated hitter.

Stowers (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Cubs.

The 28-year-old slugger will be held out of the starting nine for at least one game after exiting Thursday's contest due to left hamstring tightness. The specifics of the injury aren't clear, but it's the same hamstring Stowers strained in mid-August, sidelining him for a couple weeks. Deyvison De Los Santos will fill in at first base and bat seventh against Chicago lefty Shota Imanaga.

The Giants transferred Rodriguez (elbow) from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Friday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The 24-year-old was placed on the IL at the start of August due to right elbow neuritis, and he recently suffered a setback after starting up a minor-league rehab assignment. Rodriguez won't be eligible to be reinstated until after the end of the regular season, so his 2026 campaign can safely be considered finished since San Francisco is 25 games under. 500. He played in 22 games in his first taste of the majors and posted a .235/.316/.412 slash line with two home runs and one steal in 58 plate appearances.

Hollowell (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Iowa on Saturday, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Hollowell has been sidelined since late July with right shoulder inflammation, but he's ready to test things out in a game setting. The right-handed reliever has allowed five runs (four earned) with a 13:8 K:BB over 14.1 innings during his time with the Cubs in 2026.

Cabrera (finger) will continue his rehab assignment with Triple-A Iowa on Friday, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Cabrera will be making his second rehab appearance since landing on the injured list in mid-August due to right middle finger blister. In his first outing in the minors on Tuesday with Iowa, Cabrera struck out two batters and allowed one earned run on one hit. The Cubs plan to bring Cabrera back as a reliever, but it's unclear how many more rehab outings beyond Friday he'll require prior to being activated from the IL.

The Astros recalled King from Triple-A Sugar Land on Friday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

King was a weapon out of the Astros' bullpen the previous two seasons, but he's been up and down between the majors and minors a couple times this year, logging a a 4.75 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 44:19 K:BB across 53 innings for the big club. The southpaw has held the opposition scoreless in his last four outings with Sugar Land.

The Astros placed Okert on the 15-day injured list Friday with a right hamstring strain, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

It's unclear when Okert was hurt, but he hasn't pitched since Monday. He's been dynamite out of the Houston bullpen this season, logging a 2.13 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 68:14 K:BB over 67.2 innings. Bryan King will absorb Okert's spot on the roster and in the bullpen.

Lowe (neck) remains out of the lineup for Friday's game in Pittsburgh.

Lowe had to be scratched from the Angels' last lineup Wednesday versus the Yankees with neck stiffness, and he'll remain out even after the team off day Thursday. Wade Meckler will shift over to right field, and Jose Siri will handle left field.
