Eovaldi (knee) will start Sunday's series finale against the Padres, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

The Rangers scratched Eovaldi from his scheduled start Saturday due to left knee soreness, but the level of concern within the organization is evidently low since the veteran will end up being pushed back by just one day. Eovaldi has dropped three of his last four decisions, posting a 5.23 ERA and 1.19 WHIP over his last five starts.

Reynolds (groin) will start in left field and bat third in Saturday's game against the Rockies.

Seymour (3-1) took the loss against the Nationals on Saturday, allowing three runs on seven hits and no walks with four strikeouts over five innings.

Seymour allowed two runs in the second inning and one in the fifth while logging five frames for the first time this season. He threw 57 strikes on a season-high 81 pitches and generated nine whiffs. The 27-year-old owns a 4.98 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 45:19 K:BB across 43.1 innings this season while making three starts and 26 relief appearances. If he remains in the rotation, he'll line up for a home matchup against the Royals next week.

Cabrera joined the Diamondbacks' taxi squad Saturday and could be called up from Triple-A Reno to start Sunday's game against the Twins in Arizona, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

The Diamondbacks' pitching staff has been hit hard by injuries lately, losing Ryne Nelson (elbow) and Michael Soroka (glute) to the injured list in just the past two days. With multiple spots in the rotation for the team to fill, Cabrera's addition to the taxi squad suggests that he'll be the choice to start Sunday's game against the Twins. It would mark the 24-year-old's MLB debut, an opportunity he earned by posting a 3.69 ERA and 1.03 WHIP alongside a 64:16 K:BB in 61 innings across 12 starts (nine at Double-A Amarillo, three at Triple-A).

Twins manager Derek Shelton said that Abel (elbow) had a setback with his recovery after his 20-pitch bullpen session Friday and won't return from the 15-day injured list this weekend, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Abel appeared likely to start Sunday in Arizona after completing a five-inning rehab start Tuesday, but he should once again be considered out indefinitely in light of his setback. The Twins will have him undergo an MRI when the club returns to Minnesota to determine the full extent of the issue.

Beeter was summoned to protect a two-run lead in the ninth inning and allowed a run with no outs before bearing down to slam the door. It marked the 27-year-old's first save since May 31, and with Gus Varland having last appeared June 16, it appears the Nationals are still taking a committee approach to the closer role. On the year, Beeter owns a 3.63 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 25:16 K:BB across 22.1 innings while collecting five saves and three holds.

Scott (hip) threw a bullpen session Saturday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Scott reportedly didn't have any problems while throwing off a mound for the first time since landing on the injured list Monday with a right hip impingement. The Mets plan to have him throw a couple more mound sessions before activating him around the time he's eligible to return next Saturday.

Rafaela is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Mariners, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Nate Eaton will start in center field and bat ninth against right-hander Emerson Hancock as Rafaela gets a rare night off. Rafaela has been a bright spot for the Red Sox this season and is slashing .300/.341/.494 over 42 games since the beginning of May.

Cavalli did not factor into the decision in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Rays, allowing two runs on six hits and three walks with one strikeout over 2.2 innings.

Cavalli had his start pushed back from Friday due to an illness and struggled out of the gate Saturday, loading the bases in each of the first three innings and failing to escape the third in his shortest outing since April 13. The 27-year-old's velocity was slightly down on his three most-used offerings, so perhaps he was still feeling less than 100 percent. He owns a 4.07 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 82:28 K:BB across 77.1 innings this season and will try to rebound in a home matchup against the Phillies next week.
