Daniel Palencia RP | CHC
Cubs' Daniel Palencia: MRI reveals flexor strain
Palencia was diagnosed with a mild flexor strain in his right arm Saturday, Jesse Rogers of ESPN.com reports.
Manager Craig Counsell said that Palencia will be shut down from throwing for about a week, at which point the team will re-evaluate him. A clearer timeline for his return to the bullpen may emerge once he's cleared to begin a throwing program. In the meantime, Caleb Thielbar, Jacob Webb and Phil Maton all could be in the mix for saves.

Christian Yelich DH | MIL
Brewers' Christian Yelich: Sitting down Saturday
Yelich isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Atlanta.
Yelich doesn't typically move to the bench whenever the Brewers run into a left-handed starter, but he'll get a day off Saturday with southpaw Chris Sale on the mound for Atlanta. Gary Sanchez will fill in as Milwaukee's designated hitter and bat fourth.

Mike Yastrzemski LF | ATL
Braves' Mike Yastrzemski: Sitting Saturday
Yastrzemski isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Brewers.
Yastrzemski was initially set to start in right field and bat eighth Saturday, but he appears to have been a healthy scratch to allow Michael Harris (back) to join the lineup as Atlanta's center fielder with Mauricio Dubon and Eli White patrolling the corners.

Michael Harris CF | ATL
Braves' Michael Harris: Back in action Saturday
Harris (back) will start in center field and bat fifth Saturday against the Brewers.
Harris missed two starts after exiting Tuesday's game with lower-back tightness and was left out of the first iteration of Atlanta's lineup Saturday, but he appears to have checked out healthy before the game and will now return to the starting nine. The 25-year-old outfielder has logged a hit in 10 of the 12 games he's played this month while slashing .326/.383/.465 with a home run, five RBI and eight runs scored.

Adrian Houser SP | SF
Giants' Adrian Houser: Relegated to bullpen
Giants manager Tony Vitello said Saturday that Houser will pitch out of the bullpen going forward, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Houser will exit the rotation after putting up a 7.00 ERA and 1.83 WHIP over his last five starts and failing to complete five innings in any of them. He was limited to just one inning in his most recent start Tuesday in Atlanta, though that game ended up being suspended in the second inning due to inclement weather. Houser will cede his spot in the rotation to Tyler Mahle (hamstring), who is set to return from the injured list to start Wednesday versus the Athletics.

Curtis Washington CF | SEA
Mariners' Curtis Washington: Outrighted to High-A
Washington cleared waivers Saturday and was sent outright to High-A Everett.
Washington was added to the Mariners' active roster Tuesday to serve as emergency bench depth on short notice, but he'll now return to High-A and give up his spot on the 40-man roster. The 26-year-old outfielder is slashing .203/.296/.419 across 170 plate appearances at Everett this season and could make a push to reach Double-A by the end of the year.

Javier Sanoja 3B | MIA
Marlins' Javier Sanoja: Getting rest Saturday
Sanoja isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Giants.
Sanoja will get a chance to catch his breath Saturday after going 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored during a win in Friday's series opener. Leo Jimenez will pick up a start at the hot corner as a result and bat ninth.

Xavier Edwards 2B | MIA
Marlins' Xavier Edwards: Back in lineup
Edwards (thumb) will start at second base and bat fourth Saturday against the Giants.
Thumb soreness prevented Edwards from starting Friday's contest, but he seems to be feeling better after getting a day to rest. The 26-year-old has struggled since the beginning of June, slashing .192/.286/.192 with six RBI, two runs and three steals across 63 plate appearances.
