The Rays are still looking to find more information regarding the severity injury, as Jax is scheduled to meet with a doctor in Dallas on Wednesday for a second opinion, per Ryan Bass of Rays.tv. The 31-year-old will be eligible to be reinstated Aug. 21, though a longer absence could be in store given the nature of the injury.

Halpin is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox.
