Mason Black RP | KC
Royals' Mason Black: Back with big club
The Royals recalled Black from Triple-A Omaha on Friday.
Black will take the 26-man roster spot of Aaron Bummer, who has elected free agency in lieu of heading to Triple-A. Black has pitched in 12 games out of the bullpen for Kansas City this season, posting a 3.57 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 15:11 K:BB across 17.2 frames.

Heriberto Hernandez LF | MIA
Marlins' Heriberto Hernandez: Taking seat Friday
Hernandez is absent from the lineup for Friday's game versus the Angels.
Hernandez has hit a rough patch of late, going 2-for-22 across his last six contests. He will yield to Esteury Ruiz in left field in Friday's series opener.

Luis Robert CF | BAL
Mets' Luis Robert: Grabbing seat Friday
Robert is absent from the lineup for Friday's contest in Pittsburgh.
Robert has now been out of the lineup three of the last four times the Mets have faced a right-handed pitcher. A.J. Ewing will be in center field and will be flanked by Carson Benge in left and Brett Baty in right as the Mets take on Pirates righty Carmen Mlodzinski.

Willson Contreras 1B | BOS
Red Sox's Willson Contreras: Absent from lineup Friday
Contreras (illness) remains out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Athletics.
Contreras will miss a second straight start after he was removed from Wednesday's game with an illness. Nick Sogard is making the start at first base and batting leadoff against Athletics righty Jack Perkins.

Raymond Burgos RP | BOS
Red Sox's Raymond Burgos: Added to big-league bullpen
The Red Sox selected Burgos' contract from Triple-A Worcester on Friday.
Boston burned through its bullpen in Thursday's extra-innings win over the White Sox, and Burgos is being summoned as a fresh arm. He's worked almost exclusively as a starter with Worcester but will provide long relief for the Red Sox. He's pitched to a 5.63 ERA, 1.63 WHIP and 52:26 K:BB across 64 innings at Triple-A.

Jordan Walker RF | STL
Cardinals' Jordan Walker: Returning to St. Louis lineup
Walker (knee) will start in right field and bat second in Friday's game versus the Rockies.
Walker missed the last two games and got an additional day of rest Thursday when the Cardinals were idle, which was enough to get him over the hump with his right knee inflammation. The 24-year-old has tallied three straight multi-hit games, but he's still looking for his first home run of the second half.

Greg Weissert RP | BOS
Red Sox's Greg Weissert: Sent to Triple-A
The Red Sox optioned Weissert to Triple-A Worcester on Friday, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.
After the Red Sox blew through their bullpen in Thursday's 13-inning affair against the White Sox, reinforcements were needed, and Weissert is the odd man out. Raymond Burgos has been added to the big-league roster.
