Bazzana went 0-for-2 with a walk before being replaced by a pinch hitter during the sixth inning of Thursday's 13-6 loss to the Mets.

Bazzana, who returned to the leadoff spot Thursday with Steven Kwan getting a day off, was removed for pinch hitter Jo Adell in the sixth inning. The game was still in doubt -- New York held a 6-5 lead at the time -- so it wasn't case of emptying the bench in a blowout. Guardians manager Stephen Vogt may have made the move because a lefty reliever entered the game, but the manager hasn't made a habit of pinch hitting for Bazzana against lefties. The rookie has a .188/.299/.238 slash line over 117 plate appearances against southpaws.

Urias was removed from Thursday's game against the Cubs due to right quad discomfort, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Urias injured himself while legging out a double in the fourth inning. He remained on the base paths for the rest of the frame but was pulled once Toronto went on defense in the next half-inning. He's scheduled to undergo an MRI on Friday to determine the severity of his injury and can be considered day-to-day in the meantime.

Lowe went 2-for-4 with a walk, a home run and three RBI in Thursday's 13-6 loss to the Mets.

Lowe ate into a Mets lead in the fifth inning when he smacked a three-run shot, his 12th homer of the season and first with Cleveland. He's enjoying the Guardians uniform thus far, as Lowe is 4-for-10 with a double, a home run and five RBI in two starts with his new team.

Ramirez started at third base and went 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored in Thursday's 13-6 loss to the Mets.

Ramirez returned to action after missing two games due to a sore left hand. There was some concern about the injury, which is the same hand that was operated on in June, but it looks like the Guardians' star has bounced back quickly.

Stewart went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Athletics.

Stewart launched the first of two Cincinnati homers in the fourth inning to erase an Athletics lead. It was the 25th knock of the season for Stewart, who's gone deep six times and driven in 22 runs over 19 games since the All-Star break.

Clevinger was released by the Pirates on Thursday, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

After turning in a 4.74 ERA and 1.40 WHIP in 24.2 innings at Triple-A Indianapolis, Clevinger elected to activate his release clause and will now seek out another opportunity in the open market. The 35-year-old has made just 12 appearances in the big leagues since 2024 and is unlikely to attract more than a minor-league deal at this stage in his career.

Stephenson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Athletics.

Stephenson's homer in the bottom of the fourth inning tied the game at 3-3 after the A's took a lead in the top half of the frame. It was the fourth home run in the last 13 contests and 10th of the season for the pending free agent catcher, who has burnished his market value since the break. In 14 second-half games, Stephenson has slashed .319/.418/.702 with seven walks, four homers, six doubles, nine RBI and nine runs scored.

De La Cruz went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Athletics.

De La Cruz jumped on the second pitch he saw to give the Reds an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. It was the 19th homer of the season for De La Cruz, who's seeking a third consecutive 20-homer campaign. He's slashing a career-best .276/.356/.501 for the season along with 18 doubles, five triples, 19 homers and 53 RBI through 95 games.

The Tigers signed Zavala to a minor-league contract and assigned him to Triple-A Toledo, Emily Waldon of Baseball America Reports.

Zavala had played in 16 games at the Triple-A level in 2026 for the Dodgers at Triple-A Oklahoma City prior to being let go in June. He slashed .196/.323/.353 with three extra-base hits (including two home runs) across 62 plate appearances with OKC. The 32-year-old made his last MLB appearances in 2024 for Seattle.

Bleday went 2-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Athletics. He was also caught stealing.

Bleday's seventh-inning homer was the last of Cincinnati's four solo homers on the day and turned out to be the game-deciding run. It was the 20th home run of the season for Bleday, who whacked 20 while with the Athletics in 2024 before dropping to 14 last season. He has a .230/.344/.470 slash line this year, numbers that have been squelched by a persistent low BABIP (.236).
