  • Dolphins' Jacoby Brissett: Improved play not enough Sunday

Brissett completed 20 of 30 passes for 199 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Colts' 27-17 win over the Dolphins on Sunday. He also rushed three times for eight yards and committed two fumbles, losing one and recovering the other.

Brissett was able to connect on touchdowns with Mike Gesicki and DeVante Parker from one and three yards out, respectively, in the fourth quarter, but it was a bit too late to make a difference for the otherwise listless Dolphins. The veteran quarterback's first two scoring tosses of the season also were partly offset by his fumble deep in his own territory on the first play of the fourth quarter, a play that helped lead to a Colts field goal and extend Indianapolis' lead to 20-3. Tua Tagovailoa reportedly will be ready to return from his rib injury when first eligible to come off injured reserve ahead of a Week 6 battle against the Jaguars in London, so an unenviable Week 5 road matchup against the Buccaneers tentatively projects as Brissett's final start for the foreseeable future.

  • Jared Goff QB | DET

Lions' Jared Goff: Nears 300 passing yards

Goff completed 24 of 38 passes for 299 yards with two touchdowns and eight rushing yards during Sunday's 24-14 loss to Chicago.

While Goff actually had a respectable day as a passer, a couple strokes of bad luck doomed Detroit's chances of getting out of Chicago with the divisional win. One was a strip sack and the other was an unlucky snap that bounced off Goff's knee and into the arms of a Bears defensive lineman as he was making an adjustment. However, despite the Lions circling the drain at 0-4, Goff is still completing 68.3 percent of his passes at a high enough volume to average 275 passing yards and nearly two passing touchdowns per game through four weeks. A Week 5 trip to Minnesota isn't the greatest of matchups, but Goff could again benefit from garbage time if Detroit's defense yet again puts the team in an early hole.

  • Jalen Hurts QB | PHI

Eagles' Jalen Hurts: Two TDs in loss, two more negated

Hurts completed 32 of 48 passes for 387 yards and two touchdowns to go with eight carries for 47 yards in Sunday's 42-30 loss to the Chiefs.

Hurts found Dallas Goedert for a three-yard touchdown in the first quarter but later had would-be touchdowns to Goedert and Zach Ertz wiped out by penalties, as the Eagles ended up settling for field goals in both instances. He moved the ball well through the air and actually led the team in rushing yards as well, but Hurts couldn't keep pace with Patrick Mahomes and the high-powered Chiefs offense. Hurts padded his stats with a 15-yard touchdown pass to Greg Ward with four seconds remaining, bringing his TD:INT to 7:2 heading into a Week 5 trip to Carolina.

  • Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Tosses five TDs in Week 4 win

Mahomes completed 24 of 30 passes for 278 yards, five touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's 42-30 win over the Eagles. He added 26 yards on five rushing attempts.

Mahomes capped Kansas City's first possession with a shovel pass to Clyde Edwards-Helaire for a one-yard touchdown, then found Tyreek Hill for a six-yard score to take a 14-10 lead before adding a two-yard pass to Jody Fortson for his third touchdown pass in as many first-half possessions. His hot streak was briefly interrupted by an interception on the first drive of the second half, but Mahomes bounced back with touchdowns of 12 and 44 yards to Hill as the Chiefs pulled away in the fourth quarter. Mahomes boasts an impressive 14:4 TD:INT heading into a high-profile Week 5 rematch of last season's AFC Championship Game against the Bills.

  • Browns' Baker Mayfield: Survives subpar effort in win

Mayfield completed 15 of 33 passes for 155 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in the Browns' 14-7 win over the Vikings on Sunday. He also rushed twice for 11 yards and threw a two-point conversion pass.

Mayfield had experienced some accuracy issues early in the Week 3 win over the Bears before hitting his stride, but he never quite settled down for any extended stretch Sunday. A remarkable defensive effort and another strong game from the Nick Chubb-Kareem Hunt backfield duo helped the Browns get by with another victory anyhow, but Mayfield's play, which included a paltry average of 4.7 yards per attempt, left plenty to be desired. Mayfield's ball placement issues were best exemplified on the afternoon by a missed connection with Odell Beckham on what would have been a sure touchdown late and significantly burnished the fantasy production of both players for the day. Mayfield will look to allay concerns that he's experiencing regression after an impressive 2020 season under Kevin Stefanski's scheme when he takes on a tough Chargers defense on the road Week 5.

  • Kirk Cousins QB | LV

Vikings' Kirk Cousins: Underwhelming effort in loss

Cousins completed 20 of 38 passes for 203 yards with one touchdown and one interception in the Vikings' 14-7 loss to the Browns on Sunday. He also rushed twice for no gain.

Cousins appeared primed for another big day akin to his Week 3 performance against the Seahawks when he led the Vikings on a 14-play, 75-yard opening drive that he capped off with a 12-yard touchdown pass to Justin Jefferson. However, that would essentially prove to be the high point of the veteran quarterback's day, as he was subsequently sacked twice, picked off once and victimized by inaccuracy and tight coverage on the part of the Browns secondary. Cousins' lackluster showing naturally capped the fantasy value of his stellar receiver duo of Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen for the afternoon, while Cousins failed to throw multiple touchdown passes for the first time this season. The entire Vikings offense will look to bounce back in a favorable Week 5 home matchup against the Lions.

  • Bears' Justin Fields: Improves in second start

Fields completed 11 of 17 passes for 209 yards and an interception while adding three rushes for nine yards in the Bears' 24-14 win over the Lions on Sunday.

Fields played from a clean pocket for most of the day, allowing him to connect well with Darnell Mooney and Allen Robinson, but with the Bears leading throughout, the team was able to win with a run-heavy approach. Each of the three times Chicago possessed the ball inside the Detroit five-yard line, the running backs punched in short touchdowns, keeping Fields from having a better fantasy day. It's unknown whether Fields or Andy Dalton (knee) will start in Week 5 against the Raiders.

  • Lamar Jackson QB | BAL

Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Suits up Sunday

Jackson (back) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Broncos.

Though Jackson was unable to practice Wednesday and Thursday, he returned for a full session Friday and as expected, is active for Sunday's contest against the 3-0 Broncos, which have allowed a league-low 8.7 points per game to date. Though Jackson has been hit an NFL-high 44 times, including 12 times in Week 3 versus the Lions, per ESPN.com, the QB, who leads Baltimore with 251 yards on the ground to date, heads into Week 4 action leading the NFL in yards per rush (7.2) and yards per completion (14.4).

  • Eagles' Gardner Minshew: Inactive again

Minshew (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 4 matchup against the Chiefs.

Minshew has yet to wrestle the backup quarterback job away from Joe Flacco. As a result, he is inactive for the fourth consecutive game to begin the campaign.

  • Andy Dalton QB | PHI

Bears' Andy Dalton: Inactive against Lions

Dalton (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Lions, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.

With Dalton out again, Justin Fields will make his second consecutive start after he completed six of 20 pass attempts while taking nine sacks in a Week 3 loss to Cleveland. Nick Foles will serve as the No. 2 option behind Fields.
