Anthony Richardson QB | IND
Colts' Anthony Richardson: Opens week as a non-participant
Richardson was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's practice estimate due to back and foot injuries.
The Colts didn't hold an actual practice Wednesday, but Richardson's inclusion on the team's initial injury report makes his status worth tracking as Sunday's game against the Giants approaches. The quarterback has two more chances to upgrade to full participation before the team assigns Week 17 game designations.

Justin Fields QB | NYJ
Steelers' Justin Fields: Emergency third QB on Wednesday
Fields (abdomen) is inactive as the Steelers' emergency third quarterback for Wednesday's game against the Chiefs, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.
Kyle Allen is slated to serve as Pittsburgh's No. 2 signal-caller behind Russell Wilson for the second straight game while Fields recovers from an abdominal injury. Fields was listed as a limited practice participant Tuesday, and assuming he's able to increase his activity next week, he should be ready to step back in as the backup for the Steelers' regular-season finale versus the Bengals on Jan. 5.

Drew Lock QB | SEA
Giants' Drew Lock: Listed as limited Wednesday
Lock (shoulder) was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's estimated injury report, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Lock injured his right shoulder this past Sunday in Atlanta and underwent an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the issue. On Tuesday, head coach Brian Daboll told Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com that Lock was slated to be the Giants' starting quarterback in Week 17, but he'll seemingly have some practice limitations ahead of Sunday's contest against the Colts. In the end, he'll have two more chances to get back to full participation this week before he potentially carries a designation into the weekend.

Justin Fields QB | NYJ
Steelers' Justin Fields: Not expected to suit up Wednesday
Fields (abdomen) remains listed as questionable but is unlikely to play in Wednesday's game against the Chiefs, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Fields logged a limited practice session Tuesday, but it doesn't look as though it will be enough for the backup quarterback to avoid missing a second straight game. If Fields ends up inactive ahead of Wednesday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff, Kyle Allen would be in line to serve as the Steelers' No. 2 signal-caller behind Russell Wilson.

Joe Burrow QB | CIN
Bengals' Joe Burrow: Limited to kick off Week 17 prep
Burrow (wrist/knee) was a limited participant in practice Tuesday.
Burrow was limited in practices throughout last week with the same pair of injuries, but he avoided taking a designation into Sunday's game against the Browns and completed 23 of 30 pass attempts for 252 yards and three touchdowns in Cincinnati's 24-6 win. He's operating with a cap on his reps once again to kick off Week 17 prep, but his availability for Saturday's tilt with the Broncos doesn't appear to be in any peril.

Spencer Rattler QB | NO
Saints' Spencer Rattler: Preparing for another start
Saints interim head coach Darren Rizzi said Tuesday that Rattler will continue to take reps with the first team in practice and will be in line to start Sunday against the Raiders if Derek Carr (hand) is unable to play, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports.
Though the left hand fracture that Carr sustained in a Week 14 win over the Giants had been viewed as something that would likely end his season, the veteran quarterback isn't closing the door on returning to the field for either of the Saints' final two games. That said, Rizzi didn't provide any indication that Carr would be ready to practice when the Saints begin Week 17 prep Wednesday, so Rattler still looks to be headed for a second straight start and his fifth of the season. The Saints have gone 0-4 in Rattler's prior four starts, with the rookie signal-caller completing 74 of 129 pass attempts (57.4 percent) for 724 yards (5.6 YPA), one touchdown and three interceptions in those contests. He's also lost three fumbles and has taken 17 sacks in those contests.

Derek Carr QB | NO
Saints' Derek Carr: Not shut down for season
Saints interim head coach Darren Rizzi said Carr (hand) is still attempting to come back and play this season, though the quarterback's status for Sunday's game against the Raiders hasn't been decided, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports.
Rizzi confirmed that Spencer Rattler will make a second straight start this weekend if Carr is unable to make enough progress in his recovery from a fracture to his non-throwing hand to play Sunday. With a 5-10 record, the Saints are eliminated from playoff contention, but Carr may have some motivation to play through the hand fracture against the Raiders, with whom he spent the first nine seasons of his career. Carr's involvement in practices this week will likely go a long way into determining whether or not he suits up Sunday.

Aaron Rodgers QB | PIT
Jets' Aaron Rodgers: Deems self good to go for Sunday
Rodgers (knee) said Tuesday that he's dealing with an MCL injury, but added that he intends to play in Sunday's game against Buffalo, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
Rodgers described the knee injury as a "little" MCL issue and said that he feels "pretty good." The veteran quarterback also stated that his goal is to play in all 17 games this season, so he could be incentivized to push through the knee injury, even though the 4-11 Jets have little at stake over the final two weeks. Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich suggested earlier Tuesday that Rodgers' availability to play against Buffalo was more uncertain, though Ulbrich noted that he was still expecting the 41-year-old to play.
-
Mason Rudolph QB | PIT
Titans' Mason Rudolph: Starting again Week 17
Titans head coach Brian Callahan said Tuesday that Rudolph will make another start Sunday against Jacksonville, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Rudolph took over the starting job from Will Levis in this past Sunday's 38-30 loss to the Colts and threw for 252 yards and two touchdowns, though he also tossed three interceptions. Despite the uneven performance, Rudolph will stick in the starting role for at least another week, and he'll have a soft matchup against the Jaguars, who rank last in the NFL in passing yards allowed per game (263.0) on the season. Meanwhile, Levis will presumably remain Tennessee's backup quarterback after beginning the season as the team's No. 1 signal-caller.

Justin Fields QB | NYJ
Steelers' Justin Fields: Officially questionable for Week 17
Fields (abdomen) is listed questionable for Wednesday's game against the Chiefs, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Fields missed Saturday's loss to Baltimore due to an abdominal injury, but he could be ready to play on a short week after logging a limited practice session Tuesday. If he can suit up, Fields will back up Russell Wilson at quarterback while potentially handling a few snaps on designed running plays. If Fields is unable to play, however, Kyle Allen is in like to work as Pittsburgh's No. 2 quarterback.
