Dak Prescott QB | DAL
Cowboys' Dak Prescott: Four touchdowns, tops 300 yards
Prescott completed 25 of 31 passes for 304 yards, four touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 43-20 win over the Rams.
The Cowboys came out with an aggressive game plan, as Prescott had three touchdowns and 225 yards at halftime. His scores came from 18, 10, 22 and 25 yards away and were distributed to three different pass catchers. Prescott also completed five passes of more than 20 yards -- his highest mark of the year -- leading to his first 300-yard passing performance of the campaign. He and the Cowboys will look to continue their offensive heroics in an intra-division showdown with the Eagles in Week 9.

C.J. Stroud QB | HOU
Texans' C.J. Stroud: Disappointing numbers in loss
Stroud completed 16 of 24 passes for 140 yards in Sunday's 15-13 loss to the Panthers. He added 13 rushing yards and a touchdown on two carries.
The 140 passing yards were a season low for Stroud, while this was the first time he'd failed to toss a TD since his Week 1 NFL debut. The second overall pick in this year's draft has seen his yardage total decline in three straight games, suggesting the league's defensive coordinators might be developing a book on the young QB, but Stroud could bounce back in Week 9 against a Buccaneers defense that had given up the third-most passing yards in the league coming into Sunday.

Taysom Hill QB | NO
Saints' Taysom Hill: Season-best outing in win
Hill logged nine carries for 63 yards and two touchdowns to go along with one catch (on one target) for 14 yards in Sunday's 38-27 defeat versus the Colts. He also completed one of two passes for 44 yards.
Hill logged multiple touchdowns for the first time this year as the Saints offense scored a season-high 38 points. The 33-year-old was heavily involved in the offense despite practicing with a non-contact jersey due to a chest issue heading into Sunday's game. He even hit season highs in passing yards and total yards, and he totaled 10 touches for the second time in the last three games. Hill also finished with a team high in rushing yards ahead of bell-cow back Alvin Kamara (59), and Hill has effectively served as the Saints' No. 2 rushing option when both players have been available this season. His extremely unique swiss-army-knife-style role in this offense should help him accumulate semi-noteworthy fantasy production moving forward.

Sam Howell QB | DAL
Commanders' Sam Howell: Standout numbers in defeat
Howell completed 39 of 52 passes for 397 yards with four touchdowns and one interception in the Commanders' 38-31 loss to the Eagles on Sunday. He also rushed three times for 11 yards and committed a fumble that was recovered by Washington.
Howell enjoyed a career-best day in defeat, with both his yardage and touchdown totals serving as new single-game highs for the second-year signal-caller. Howell impressively spread the ball around to nine different targets, connecting with Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson, Logan Thomas and Jamison Crowder for touchdown tosses of 26, 21, seven and 26 yards, respectively. However, Howell was unable to keep up with Jalen Hurts and his air attack in the fourth quarter, when Philadelphia outscored Washington by a 21-14 margin. The sophomore quarterback nevertheless should draw plenty of confidence from nearly knocking off the defending NFC champions for a second time this season and will next face the Patriots on the road in a Week 9 matchup.

Tommy DeVito QB | NE
Giants' Tommy DeVito: Barely throws after Taylor injury
DeVito completed two of seven passes for minus-1 yard while rushing four times for 12 yards and a touchdown after replacing Tyrod Taylor (ribs) in Sunday's 13-10 overtime loss to the Jets.
DeVito was thrust into action after Taylor exited in the second quarter. The undrafted rookie out of Illinois led an 11-play, 75-yard touchdown drive to open the third quarter on which he didn't complete a pass, as a pair of unnecessary roughness penalties on the defense put DeVito in position to run in a go-ahead, six-yard touchdown. In fact, DeVito's first completion didn't come until overtime with the Giants employing a run-heavy approach in hopes of running out the clock before the Jets could tie the game. Daniel Jones (neck) hasn't suited up since Week 5, and if neither Jones nor Taylor are able to play in Week 9 against the Raiders, DeVito could be called upon to make his first NFL start.

Will Levis QB | TEN
Titans' Will Levis: Makes case to keep starting job
Levis completed 19 of 29 passes for 238 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions in Sunday's 28-23 win over the Titans.
Despite rumors of a split at quarterback in the absence of Ryan Tannehill (ankle), Levis was the only Titan to attempt a pass. He looked plenty comfortable in his NFL debut, connecting with DeAndre Hopkins for long scores of 47, 16 and 61 yards while capping his day with a 33-yard touchdown toss to Nick Westbrook-Ikhine. Tennessee understandably ran a conservative gameplan -- the team called 36 rushes as opposed to 31 pass plays -- but Levis ran a more explosive offense than that overseen by Tannehill to date.

Taylor Heinicke QB | LAC
Falcons' Taylor Heinicke: Takes over after halftime
Heinicke completed 12 of 21 passes for 175 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 28-23 loss to the Titans.
Heinecke entered the game to start the second half in relief of Desmond Ridder, who was evaluated for a concussion and cleared to return. Heinicke had a significant amount of success, leading the Falcons on four scoring drives, specifically two touchdowns and two field goals. Despite those results, coach Arthur Smith said he was simply being cautious with Ridder and remains confident in the second-year quarterback, per Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com.

Tua Tagovailoa QB | ATL
Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa: Eclipses 300-yard mark in win
Tagovailoa completed 30 of 45 passes for 324 yards with three touchdowns and one interception and added eight yards on six carries in the Dolphins' 31-17 win over the Patriots on Sunday. He was also charged with a lost fumble on a mishandled handoff to Raheem Mostert.
Tagovailoa's day included a couple of minor blemishes in the pair of turnovers, but the fourth-year quarterback made up for it with another sharp performance. Tagovailoa started off hot with a 42-yard touchdown pass to Tyreek Hill in the first quarter, and he followed it up with a one-yard scoring strike to Cedrick Wilson on a quick slant in the second quarter. Tagovailoa then put the finishing touches on the two-touchdown win by hitting Jaylen Waddle from 31 yards out for his final score of the day. Tagovailoa now has five games with multiple touchdown passes, with three of those coming in the last four games. The Dolphins next gear up for a Week 9 showdown with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs in Germany, during which Tagovailoa and the air attack should be busy.
-
Derek Carr QB | NO
Saints' Derek Carr: Tosses two touchdowns in win
Carr completed 19 of 27 passes for 310 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 38-27 win over the Colts.
Carr and the Saints offense fell back into a rhythm after he logged 50-plus passing attempts in back-to-back games. The 32-year-old's first touchdown was an 18-yard score that came on a short pass to running back Alvin Kamara; but, Carr also logged his longest touchdown pass of the season when he hit wideout Rashid Shaheed in stride for a 58-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Carr also eclipsed the 300-yard mark for the third game in a row, though he averaged significantly more yards per attempt (11.5) compared to the previous two outings. The veteran signal-caller coughed up just his sixth turnover of the season when he was strip-sacked early in the first quarter, and he's yet to commit multiple turnovers in any game so far this season. Carr and the Saints offense will look to put together another explosive outing versus the Bears in a Week 9 matchup.

Brett Rypien QB | MIN
Rams' Brett Rypien: Takes over for injured Stafford
Rypien completed five of his 10 passes for 42 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Sunday's 43-20 loss to Dallas.
Rypien entered the game for the final play of the third quarter, relieving Matthew Stafford after he suffered a thumb injury. Rypien predictably struggled, though he did manage to lead the team to a late field goal on a drive dominated by short completions. It's possible that Los Angeles opted to hold Stafford out as a precaution given the score of the game, so it will be important to monitor the injury report leading up to a Week 9 matchup against the Packers.
