  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Missing Saturday's practice

Kirk (hamstring) will not participate in Saturday's practice, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Kirk popped up on Friday's practice report as a limited participant due to a hamstring injury. His downgrade to a DNP doesn't bode well for his chances of playing against the Seahawks on Monday, and his injury designation should be announced by the Texans following the conclusion of Saturday's practice. The Texans would turn to Xavier Hutchinson and rookies Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel to take on larger roles in the offense behind top wideout Nico Collins if Kirk is not cleared to play against Seattle.

  • Darius Slayton WR | NYG

Giants' Darius Slayton: Won't play against Denver

Slayton (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Broncos, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Slayton has not practiced since injuring his hamstring during the Giants' Week 5 loss to the Saints. The seventh-year wideout will be sidelined for a second straight game due to his injury, and he'll work to progress enough in his recovery to return in Week 8 against the Eagles on Sunday, Oct. 26. Lil'Jordan Humphrey should be elevated from the practice squad to the active roster for a second-straight week to join the Giants' wide receiver corps that consists of Wan'Dale Robinson, Jalin Hyatt, Beaux Collins and Gunner Olszewski.

  • Emeka Egbuka WR | TB

Buccaneers' Emeka Egbuka: Back at practice Saturday

Egbuka (hamstring) returned to practice Saturday, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Egbuka missed the Buccaneers' first two practices of the week due to a hamstring injury he picked up in Week 6 against the 49ers. Although the rookie wideout is considered a longshot to play against the Lions on Monday, his ability to return to practice Saturday is a sign that he is progressing in his recovery. The Buccaneers will announce their injury designations following Saturday's practice, which will shed light on Egbuka's chances of suiting up against Detroit.

  • 49ers' Jordan Watkins: Could make pro debut

Watkins does not have an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Falcons, Briana Jeannel of the 49ers' official site reports.

Watkins has dealt with a calf injury since Week 3 but will enter game day without an injury designation. He was a healthy scratch in Weeks 1 and 2, so there's no guarantee he'll be active. However, Watkins could have a chance to suit up with Rickey Pearsall (knee) and Marquez Valdes-Scantling (calf) both ruled out for Sunday's matchup.

  • Skyy Moore WR | GB

49ers' Skyy Moore: Ready for Week 7

Moore does not have an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Falcons, Briana Jeannael of the 49ers' official site reports.

Moore began the week unable to practice due to an ankle injury, but he was able to get in some work both Thursday and Friday. He will be set to work primarily on special teams against the Falcons.

  • Alex Bachman WR | LV

Raiders' Alex Bachman: Gets questionable tag

Bachman (ankle) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Kansas City.

Bachman popped up on the Raiders' injury report Thursday with an ankle issue, and now his status for Week 7 is up in the air. If he's not able to suit up Sunday, it could open the door a bit wider for 2023 fifth-rounder Justin Shorter to mix in for a few snaps at receiver.

  • Darnell Mooney WR | NYG

Falcons' Darnell Mooney: On track to play?

Falcons coach Raheem Morris said Friday that he's "feeling good" about Mooney (hamstring) playing in Sunday's game at San Francisco, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Mooney didn't practice Friday after limited participation the previous two days, but it sounds like that was part of a plan and not indicative of a setback. Fantasy managers would still be wise to consider the wideout uncertain ahead of Sunday's 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff, with Mooney yet to log a full practice since injuring his hamstring Week 4.

  • Jacob Cowing WR | SF

49ers' Jacob Cowing: Progressing in recovery

Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Friday that Cowing (hamstring) is "getting close" to returning from injured reserve, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

The 2024 fourth-rounder pulled his hamstring during training camp in late July, and the injury was severe enough for Cowing to start the regular season on injured reserve. He would be eligible to return to practice once the 49ers designate him to return from IR, which could happen as soon as next week leading up to the 49ers' Week 8 clash against the Texans on Sunday, Oct. 26.

  • Texans' Christian Kirk: Added to injury report

Kirk (hamstring) was limited at practice Friday.

Kirk wasn't listed on Thursday's initial injury report, so his addition a day later is notable. Added context regarding his status will arrive no later than Saturday when the Texans post their Week 7 injury designations ahead of Monday night's game against the Seahawks. If Kirk is limited or out versus Seattle, Xavier Hutchinson, Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel would be candidates to absorb added snaps alongside top WR Nico Collins.

  • Jonathan Mingo WR | DAL

Cowboys' Jonathan Mingo: Chance to play Week 7

Mingo (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

Mingo ended the week strong with a full practice Friday, and the third-year wideout has a chance to make his 2025 debut Sunday. Even if he does return, Mingo would likely work in a rotational role in the Cowboys' offense, given that CeeDee Lamb (ankle) and KaVontae Turpin (foot) have both been cleared to play in Sunday's NFC East tilt.
