  • Chris Godwin WR | TB

    Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Limited Wednesday

Godwin (fibula) was limited at Wednesday's practice.

Godwin has been dealing with the residual effects of a fibula injury since Week 5, but since his return to action Week 12, he's been able to suit up for each of the Buccaneers' last five games, accumulating a 19-192-1 line on 28 targets during that stretch. His limitations Wednesday likely are related to maintenance, and he'll have two more chances to get back to full before Sunday's contest at Miami.

  • Cowboys' DeMarvion Overshown: Out for Thursday

Overshown (concussion) has been ruled out ahead of Thursday's matchup against the Commanders, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

The third-year pro from Texas sustained a concussion in the Week 16 loss to the Chargers, so it's no surprise that he'll be sidelined Thursday. Overshown has appeared in six contests since returning from a knee injury in the Week 11 matchup against the Raiders, recording 28 total tackles. While he's out in Week 17, expect Marist Liufau to operate as Dallas' top weakside linebacker.

  • Phil Mafah RB | DAL

Cowboys' Phil Mafah: Won't return Thursday

Mafah (shoulder) has been ruled out ahead of Thursday's matchup against the Commanders, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

The 2025 seventh-round pick from Clemson practiced in a limited fashion throughout the week but won't make his NFL debut in Thursday's divisional matchup. While Mafah remains on the injured reserve list, expect Javonte Williams and Malik Davis to handle Dallas' backfield duties.

  • Sauce Gardner CB | IND

Colts' Sauce Gardner: Still working through calf injury

Gardner (calf) was listed as a DNP on Wednesday's estimated practice report.

Gardner has been sidelined for the Colts' last three games due to a calf injury that he sustained in Week 13 against the Texans. He hasn't been able to practice since sustaining the injury, so he's unlikely to play against the Jaguars on Sunday unless he's able to log a limited practice by Friday.

  • Patriots' Kayshon Boutte: Not practicing Wednesday

Boutte (concussion) wasn't spotted at Wednesday's practice, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.

Coach Mike Vrabel confirmed Tuesday that Boutte is in the NFL's concussion protocol, with the wideout's absence Wednesday now giving him two more chances to make a practice appearance before the Patriots' Week 17 injury designations are revealed. If Boutte isn't cleared for Sunday's game against the Jets, fellow WR Kyle Williams would be in line for added snaps.

  • Colts' DeForest Buckner: DNP to open week

Buckner (neck) was listed as a DNP on Wednesday's estimated practice report.

Buckner was activated from injured reserve ahead of the Colts' MNF contest against the 49ers, when he logged five tackles (four solo) while playing 44 of 66 defensive snaps (66.7 percent). He'll likely have his practice reps limited to ensure he doesn't aggravate the neck injury that caused him to land on IR in early November. Friday's practice report will shed light on Buckner's chances of playing in Sunday's AFC South tilt against the Jaguars.

  • Cowboys' KaVontae Turpin: Good to go for Thursday

Turpin (shoulder) does not have an injury designation for Thursday's Christmas Day matchup against Washington, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

Turpin has managed a shoulder injury this week and was listed as limited Monday and Tuesday. However, he was deemed a full participant for Wednesday's practice walkthrough and wasn't given a designation for Thursday's contest. As such, Turpin should serve in his usual role as the Cowboys' lead kick/punt returner versus the Commanders. He could also see more work as a wideout if Ryan Flournoy (knee, questionable) is unable to suit up.

  • Patriots' TreVeyon Henderson: At practice Wednesday

Henderson (concussion) was spotted at practice Wednesday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.

Coach Mike Vrabel confirmed Tuesday that Henderson is in the NFL's concussion protocol, so it's not surprising that the running back sported a red (non-contact) jersey at Wednesday's practice. The Patriots' upcoming injury report is slated to reveal Henderson's official participation level in the session.

  • Ryan Flournoy WR | DAL

Cowboys' Ryan Flournoy: Questionable for Thursday

Flournoy (knee) is listed as questionable for Thursday's game in Washington, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

Flournoy wasn't able to return to this past Sunday's game against the Chargers following a hit on which opposing linebacker Denzel Perryman was penalized for unnecessary roughness. The wide receiver was diagnosed with a sprained right knee afterward, and he followed an LP/DNP/DNP practice regimen since then, indicating that he may be more likely to sit out Week 17 than suit up. Ultimately, Flournoy's status will be confirmed about 90 minutes before Thursday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • T.J. Watt OLB | PIT

Steelers' T.J. Watt: Back at practice

Watt (lung) was spotted participating in Wednesday's practice, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reports.

The 31-year-old missed the Steelers' Week 16 win over the Lions while recovering from a partially collapsed lung, but he's already returned to the field Wednesday. In 13 appearances this season, Watt has tallied 53 total tackles, including 7.0 sacks, seven passes defensed, with an interception, and three forced fumbles. The All-Pro edge rusher likely needs to practice in full Thursday or Friday in order to avoid an injury designation in the Week 17 matchup against the Browns.
