  • Lewis Bond WR | HOU

Texans' Lewis Bond: Elevated for Week 3

The Texans elevated Bond from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's game against the Colts,

Bond has now been elevated for consecutive weeks, playing 13 offensive snaps in the Texans' Week 2 loss to the Bengals. The wide receiver will once again fill in as a depth option for the injured Nico Collins (hamstring).

  • Packers' Laken Tomlinson: Signs with Green Bay

The Packers signed Tomlinson off the Cowboys' practice squad Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Tomlinson spent the offseason with the Cowboys' practice squad after being waived by the Texans in December. The offensive guard will now add depth to a battered Packers offensive line.

  • Kene Nwangwu RB | NYJ

Jets' Kene Nwangwu: Ruled out for Sunday

Nwangwu (back) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Lions.

Nwangwu was listed as doubtful for Sunday's contest after Friday's practice. The Jets' kick returner had an outside chance to suit up Sunday despite not logging a single day of practice throughout Week 3 prep. After a Saturday examination, it's been determined that Nwangwu will not be ready for the game, leaving Isaiah Williams as the primary kick and punt returner for the Jets' showdown with the Lions.

  • Tyson Bagent QB | CHI

Bears' Tyson Bagent: Cleared to practice Saturday

Bagent (concussion) will be back at practice Saturday after progressing through the league's concussion protocol, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.

With Bagent back on the field after missing practice time earlier in the week, Chicago regains depth at quarterback. His return is a welcome one for the Bears given that Caleb Williams is rehabbing from a hamstring injury, though Adam Schefter of ESPN notes that Bagent needs to go consecutive days without symptoms before being fully cleared to play. If Bagent is given the green light to play and Williams is ruled out, then the former would start against Philadelphia while Case Keenum serves as the backup.

  • Caleb Williams QB | CHI

Bears' Caleb Williams: Not practicing Saturday

Williams (hamstring) will not participate in Saturday's practice, Jason Lieser of the Chicago Suns-Times reports.

Head coach Ben Johnson was mum on Williams' status for Monday's game against the Eagles, and that status will be more clear once Philadelphia announces its injury designations following Saturday's practice. However, given that Williams will end up missing all three practices due to a hamstring injury, it's more likely that the third-year quarterback will not suit up for Week 3, with an eye toward returning for Week 4 against the Jets on Sunday, Oct. 4. The good news for the Bears is that Tyson Bagent cleared the league's concussion protocol, and he would serve as the starter with Case Keenum as the backup if Williams is ruled out.

  • Owen Pappoe LB | TEN

Owen Pappoe: Let go by Tennessee

The Titans waived Pappoe on Saturday.

Pappoe played in the Titans' Week 2 loss to the Eagles, logging no defensive snaps and 19 special-teams snaps in the game. The special-teamer was waived to make room on the 53-man roster for depth safety Erick Hallett from the practice squad. Pappoe will now be subject to waivers, and if he clears will become a free agent able to sign with any franchise.

  • Titans' Erick Hallett: Signs to active roster ahead of Week 3

The Titans signed Hallett from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.

Hallett was elevated to the active roster in consecutive weeks, playing 11 defensive snaps and 39 special-teams snaps as the backup strong safety. With Kendell Brooks (undisclosed) on IR for at least another two games, Hallett will continue to support the Titans' secondary behind Amani Hooker while holding onto his last practice squad elevation.

  • DeVonta Smith WR | PHI

Eagles' DeVonta Smith: Practicing again Saturday

Smith (hamstring) is participating in Saturday's practice, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Smith has been working through a hamstring injury, which prevented him from practicing Thursday before he returned for Friday's session in a limited capacity. His status for Monday night's game against the Bears will be more clear once the Eagles announce their injury designations following Saturday's practice. Smith is coming off a 10-117-1 receiving line (on 13 targets) against the Titans in Week 2, and if were to be ruled out or limited against Chicago, then Dontayvion Wicks, Makai Lemon and Darius Cooper would all be in line for more targets from Jalen Hurts.

  • Michael Carter RB | TEN

Titans' Michael Carter: Elevated for Sunday

The Titans elevated Carter from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.

Carter is set to suit up for Sunday's game against the Giants. The running back played in 13 games for the Cardinals in 2025, logging 92 carries for 333 yards and a touchdown, as well as 33 receptions for 267 yards. Carter is set to be the No. 4 option if Tyjae Spears (ankle) is ruled out and inactive if Spears is all set to play.

  • Colts' Nick Westbrook-Ikhine: Elevated for Week 3

The Colts elevated Westbrook-Ikhine from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.

Westbrook-Ikine is set to be an emergency option at wide receiver for the Colts' Week 3 game against the Texans. With Alec Pierce (heel) and D.J. Montgomery (abdomen) on IR, the 29-year-old will sit behind Deion Burks and Anthony Gould as they fill in for the injured Ashton Dulin (ankle).
