  • Leo Carlsson C | ANA

Ducks' Leo Carlsson: Snaps drought with goal

Carlsson scored a goal and blocked two shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Jets.

Carlsson snapped a five-game pointless streak by finding the twine with his lone shot of the game. Carlsson missed six games between Nov. 27 and Dec. 9 due to an upper-body injury, but he hasn't been very productive since his return to the ice. He has notched just two goals in his last 11 contests while also recording six PIM, 14 shots, six hits and three blocked shots in that span.

  • Radek Faksa C | DAL

Blues' Radek Faksa: Remains out of action

Faksa (leg) will not play versus Ottawa on Friday, Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic reports.

Faksa will miss his 10th of 11 games since he suffered the injury. Faksa returned for one game Dec. 20, but the worry is that the cut is infected and the Blues want to be sure that he has fully healed. Head coach Jim Montgomery said Friday that he thinks Faksa will return within two weeks. Faksa has two goals and seven points in 30 games this season.

  • Dylan Larkin C | DET

Red Wings' Dylan Larkin: Two PP points in Columbus

Larkin delivered a goal and an assist, both on the power play, in Thursday's 5-4 win over the Blue Jackets.

The performance extended his modest point streak to four games. Larkin has found the back of the net in back-to-back contests after going 15 straight games without a goal, and since the beginning of December he's racked up two goals and 13 points in 15 appearances.

  • Blues' Oskar Sundqvist: Unavailable Friday

Sundqvist (illness) will not be in the lineup versus the Senators on Friday, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

Sundqvist has a goal and two assists in his last five games, after garnering only one assist in his previous 14 appearances. Mathieu Joseph will draw into the lineup in Sundqvist's place Friday.

  • Jack Drury C | COL

Hurricanes' Jack Drury: Activated from injured reserve

Drury (hand) was activated from injured reserve Friday.

Drury underwent hand surgery in mid-December and was expected to be unavailable for at least four weeks, but he should be back in action for Saturday's game against the Wild, approximately three weeks after his procedure. The 24-year-old recorded three goals, six assists, 19 blocked shots, 15 hits and eight PIM while averaging 13:09 of ice time over his first 28 appearances of the season. Juha Jaaska was sent down to make room for Drury on the active roster.

  • Shane Pinto C | OTT

Senators' Shane Pinto: Snags assist in loss

Pinto produced an assist, two shots on goal, four blocked shots, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Stars.

Pinto had gone three games without a point, though that followed a run of five goals and an assist over five outings. The 24-year-old was listed as the top-line center Thursday and appears to be in a prominent role for the Senators at this time. He's at 10 points, 53 shots on net, 30 hits, 24 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over 29 appearances. Most of his offense has come since mid-December, so don't let the low season-long output fool you.

  • Ridly Greig C | OTT

Senators' Ridly Greig: Tallies in loss

Greig scored a goal on three shots, added two hits and went plus-2 in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Stars.

Greig was listed on the top line and saw 18:50 of ice time in the contest. The Senators appear to be trying to share significant ice time across seven forwards -- which has been forced because Greig has scored in three straight games and is due more minutes. The 22-year-old is up to six goals, 12 points, 49 shots on net, 55 hits, 22 PIM and a minus-5 rating over 34 appearances. While the season-long numbers don't pop off the page, he's clearly trending in the right direction.

  • Stars' Wyatt Johnston: Distributes two assists

Johnston notched two assists and two PIM in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Senators.

Johnston's point streak is up to five games (three goals, five assists). He's found a home on the second line, and more important, the Stars' entire top six is producing at a better rate in recent contests. Johnston is up to 27 points, 103 shots on net, 20 hits, 20 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating through 37 appearances and should continue to be one of Dallas' top forwards.

  • Lightning's Anthony Cirelli: Nets lone goal in loss

Cirelli scored a goal on three shots in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Sharks.

Cirelli remains hot on offense -- he has three goals and three assists over his last six outings. The 27-year-old center broke up Yaroslav Askarov's shutout bid in the second period. Cirelli now has 15 goals, 33 points, 67 shots on net, 32 blocked shots and a plus-17 rating over 34 appearances this season. He continues to see time in all situations while playing at a career-best pace.

  • Sharks' Mikael Granlund: Supplies helper in win

Granlund notched an assist and two shots on goal in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Lightning.

Granlund has a helper in three of the last five contests, but he's gone eight games without a goal. His assist Thursday set up Mario Ferraro's game-winning tally midway through the second period. Granlund's pace on offense has slowed down amid the Sharks' recent eight-game losing streak. He's now at 11 goals, 24 helpers, 104 shots on net, 32 hits, 28 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over 39 appearances in a top-six role.
