  • Jets' Mark Scheifele: Helps out in overtime

Scheifele registered an assist in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Oilers.

Scheifele helped out on Kyle Connor's game-winning tally 1:13 into overtime. While his goal drought is up to seven games, Scheifele has stayed productive with five assists and 12 shots on net in that span. The center has 76 points, 147 shots on net, 65 hits, 49 blocked shots, 53 PIM and a plus-11 rating over 70 appearances this season, giving him a good chance of surpassing his career-high 84 points from 2018-19.

  • Jets' Cole Perfetti: Finds twine Thursday

Perfetti scored a goal on three shots and added two PIM in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Oilers.

Perfetti is heating up with three goals and three assists over his last seven outings. Two of those games have been multi-point efforts for the 23-year-old, who continues to play on the second line at even strength. For the season, he has 15 goals, 43 points, 121 shots on net, 59 hits, 41 blocked shots and a plus-18 rating over 70 appearances. With two more outings, he'll set a career high in that category.

  • Flyers' Ryan Poehling: Two points in win

Poehling had a goal and an assist in a 3-2 loss to Washington on Thursday.

Poehling has just six goals and 13 assists in 56 games this season, but four of those points (two goals, two assists) have come in his last four games. Does that signal a real uptick in production? We doubt it -- he had no points and just eight shots in the 12 games before that. Additionally, Poehling's secondary categories are slim as he has 61 blocks and 24 hits and only 55 shots in 56 games.

  • Colton Dach C | EDM

    Blackhawks' Colton Dach: Needs evaluation

Dach sustained an apparent arm injury and will need to be evaluated further after exiting Thursday's game versus the Kings, per CHGO Sports.

Dach was hurt in the third period and will need to be checked out prior to Saturday's game versus the Blues. The 22-year-old's point drought is up to five contests after he was held off the scoresheet Thursday. Philipp Kurashev and Patrick Maroon are candidates to check into the lineup if Dach is forced to miss time.

  • Rangers' Vincent Trocheck: Nine points in last eight games

Trocheck put up two assists in a 4-3 loss to Toronto on Thursday.

Trocheck is now within two points of his fourth straight 50-point season and the seventh of his career. He has nine points (three goals, six assists) and 12 shots in his last eight games. Trocheck won't come near his career-high 77 points from last season, but he remains a solid fantasy contributor.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Exits Thursday's contest

McDavid (lower body) won't return to Thursday's game versus the Jets, Ryan Rishaug of TSN reports.

McDavid came off the ice ailing late in the second period, and he'll be forced to miss the rest of this game. The Oilers are suddenly in dire straits at center, as Leon Draisaitl (undisclosed) was not able to play Thursday. Both of the team's top centers will be questionable heading into Saturday's home game versus the Kraken. The Oilers are sufficiently above the playoff bubble, so expect them to play it safe with McDavid's health.

  • Bobby McMann C | SEA

Maple Leafs' Bobby McMann: Three points in last three games

McMann had a goal and an assist in a 4-3 win over the Rangers on Thursday.

McMann deflected a shot past Igor Shesterkin with 10 seconds left in the first period to put the Leafs up 2-1 going into the first intermission. He continues to put up career totals in goals (19), assists (12) and shots (136). McMann has three points, including two goals, and nine shots in his last three games.

  • John Tavares C | TOR

Maple Leafs' John Tavares: Hits 1,100 point plateau in win

Tavares scored two goals and added an assist in a 4-3 win over the Rangers on Thursday.

Tavares became the eighth active player with 1,100 points (485 goals, 615 assists) in his career (1,170 games). His first goal opened the scoring in the first period off the rush with a one-timer from the top of the left face-off circle. Tavares' second put the Maple Leafs up 3-2 in the second period when he stuffed a rebound past Igor Shesterkin. JT is now just one goal from his seventh 30-goal season.

  • Josh Norris C | BUF

Sabres' Josh Norris: Won't play vs. Utah

Norris (undisclosed) isn't available for Thursday's clash against Utah, according to Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News.

Norris is set to miss his third straight game. He has 21 goals and 35 points in 56 appearances in 2024-25. When Norris is healthy, he should serve in a top-six capacity.

  • Jiri Kulich C | BUF

Sabres' Jiri Kulich: Remains out Thursday

Kulich (concussion) isn't expected to play Thursday in Utah, per Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News.

Kulich will miss his second straight game while in the concussion protocol. He has 12 goals and 19 points in 49 appearances in 2024-25. His next chance to return will come Saturday in Minnesota.
