  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Not available Saturday

    Vasilevskiy will miss his second straight game Saturday due to an undisclosed injury, Benjamin Pierce of the Lightning's official site reports.

    Vasilevskiy is 11-6-2 with a 2.31 GAA and a .916 save percentage over 19 appearances this season. Jonas Johansson will get the start against the Islanders with Brandon Halverson providing backup duties. Vasilevskiy hopes to return Monday in Toronto for an all-important division contest.

  • Capitals' Charlie Lindgren: Set to miss more time

    Lindgren (upper body) isn't expected to be an option for Sunday's home matchup against Columbus, according to Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post.

    Lindgren also sat out Friday's 4-3 shootout loss to Anaheim, and it's unclear when he will be ready to return to the lineup. He has posted a 5-3-1 record with one shutout, a 2.90 GAA and an .893 save percentage through 10 appearances this season. Parker Milner served as Logan Thompson's backup in Friday's contest.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: First off Saturday

    Ullmark was the first goalie off the ice at the morning skate, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports, indicating he will patrol the home crease against St. Louis on Saturday.

    Ullmark is coming off a 20-save performance in Tuesday's 5-2 win over Montreal. He has a 10-6-4 record with a 3.05 GAA and an .876 save percentage through 20 appearances this season. St. Louis sits 30th in the league with 2.54 goals per game this campaign.

  • Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Starting Saturday

    Shesterkin will be between the home pipes versus Colorado on Saturday, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.

    Shesterkin will make his seventh straight start, as he is 5-1-0 with a 2.18 GAA and a .922 save percentage since Nov. 24. Overall, the 29-year-old Russian is 12-9-2 with a 2.43 GAA and a .912 save percentage across 23 appearances this season. Shesterkin will have a tough matchup against Colorado, who lead the NHL in scoring, generating 4.04 goals per game.

  • Rangers' Spencer Martin: Returned to AHL

    Martin was reassigned to AHL Hartford on Saturday.

    Martin was recalled Sunday, but he did not get into a game, as Igor Shesterkin played both contests. The Rangers activated Jonathan Quick (lower body) from injured reserve in a corresponding move.

  • Rangers' Jonathan Quick: Removed from IR

    Quick (lower body) was activated from injured reserve Saturday, according to Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic.

    The Rangers returned Spencer Martin to AHL Hartford in a corresponding move. Following a six-game absence, Quick should play in Saturday's home game against Colorado or Sunday's home matchup versus Vegas. He has posted a 3-3-0 record this season while surrendering 10 goals on 177 shots.

    Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Surfaces on IR

    Woll (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Saturday.

    The Maple Leafs recalled Artur Akhtyamov from AHL Toronto in a corresponding move. Woll suffered the injury in Thursday's 5-1 win over Carolina. He has posted a 4-3-1 record with a 2.44 GAA and a .923 save percentage through eight appearances this season. Dennis Hildeby will probably see the bulk of the starts for the Maple Leafs until Woll or Anthony Stolarz (upper body) can return to the lineup.

  • Maple Leafs' Artur Akhtyamov: Called up from AHL

    Akhtyamov was recalled from AHL Toronto on Saturday.

    Akhtyamov will back up Dennis Hildeby against Montreal on Saturday after the Maple Leafs placed Joseph Woll on injured reserve with a lower-body injury in a corresponding move. Akhtyamov was 7-5-0 with a 3.04 GAA and an .896 save percentage in 12 AHL appearances before his recall.

    Jets' Eric Comrie: Gets back to winning ways

    Comrie stopped 34 of 35 shots in Friday's win over the Sabres.

    Comrie was magnificent throughout the game, and he was only beaten on the power play by Jason Zucker, who has scored in three games in a row. Comrie earned a win after failing to do so in his last two matches. He has a 3-4-1 record with a 2.85 GAA and a .904 save percentage over an eight-game stretch of inconsistent performances.

  • Sabres' Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen: Beaten three times Friday

    Luukkonen stopped 19 of 22 shots in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Jets.

    Luukkonen was beaten once in the first period and twice in the second. The Jets added a fourth goal when the 26-year-old was on the bench, and the Sabres had an extra attacker. Luukkonen remains inconsistent from a wins perspective, as he's gone 3-3-0 over his last six starts with a 2.39 GAA and a .905 save percentage.
