  • Joseph Woll G | TOR

Maple Leafs' Joseph Woll: Makes 35 saves in OT win

Woll stopped 35 of 36 shots in Wednesday's 2-1 overtime win over the Blue Jackets.

Woll surrendered a goal to  Zach Werenski in the third period, but other than that, he posted his best performance of the season by a wide margin. Woll bounced back from the loss against the Canadiens on Saturday, where he allowed four goals on 25 shots. He has been solid since making his season debut against the Blackhawks on Nov. 15. He's earned a save percentage of at least .900 in four of his five appearances, posting a mark of .930 or higher twice. Through five contests, Woll has gone 2-2-1 with a 2.74 GAA and a .914 save percentage.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Surrenders three in loss

Sorokin stopped 11 of 14 shots on goal in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to Boston.

Sorokin didn't face many shots and struggled in the defeat. He allowed a shorthanded goal to Alex Steeves midway through the third period, which put the game out of reach for the Islanders. With the loss, Sorokin has a 7-7-2 record with a 2.70 GAA and a .901 save percentage through 16 appearances this season. Despite picking up his second consecutive loss, the 30-year-old twine protector has played at a higher level in November and hasn't allowed more than three goals in a game since Oct. 28. If he can find the win column soon and prove that the past two contests are nothing more than a quick slump, Sorokin's fantasy value should remain high.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Shines in 10th win

Swayman made 44 saves on 45 shots in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Islanders.

Outside of an early tally within the first five minutes of regulation, Swayman stood on his head throughout the rest of the game to help lead the Bruins to the win. With his effort Wednesday, the 27-year-old netminder now has a 10-6-0 record with a 2.68 GAA and a .915 save percentage through 16 outings this season. After struggling to adjust to a pure starting goalie role last season, Swayman is trending towards elite territory in fantasy. He hasn't allowed more than three goals in a game since Oct. 27 and is one of seven netminders to reach the 10-win mark through this point of the season. With the Bruins playing above expectations this season, Swayman is currently a must-start.

  • Golden Knights' Akira Schmid: Shaky start in shootout loss

Schmid allowed three goals on 23 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Senators.

Schmid lost past regulation time for the second game in a row. He gave up three goals in the first period and then stopped two of three shootout attempts, though Linus Ullmark was perfect in the skills competition. Schmid has given up seven goals on 56 shots in that span, a fairly pedestrian level of play after his recent three-game winning streak. Overall, Schmid is now at 9-1-4 with a 2.47 GAA and a .900 save percentage in 14 appearances. The Golden Knights' next two games are also at home, as they'll face the Canadiens on Friday and the Sharks on Saturday. Schmid and Carl Lindbom are likely to split those games.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Claims shootout win

Ullmark stopped 32 of 35 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 shootout win over the Golden Knights.

Ullmark allowed a goal in each period in regulation, but he was perfect in overtime and in the shootout to skate away with his third straight win. He's allowed no more than three goals in his last seven outings, going 4-1-2 in that span. For the season, the Swede is up to 9-5-4 with a 2.94 GAA and an .880 save percentage through 18 starts. The Senators' road trip continues in St. Louis on Friday.

  • Joey Daccord G | SEA

Kraken's Joey Daccord: Takes close loss against Dallas

Daccord stopped 18 of 21 shots in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Stars.

Daccord took his third loss in his last four starts (1-2-1), though he's given up just eight goals in that span. The 29-year-old allowed a goal in each period of this contest, including Vladislav Kolyachonok's tally late in the third period. Daccord is now at a 7-4-4 record with a 2.59 GAA and a .906 save percentage through 15 starts this season. The Kraken's next game is at home versus the Oilers on Saturday.

  • Stars' Casey DeSmith: Secures fifth win

DeSmith stopped 26 of 28 shots in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Kraken.

DeSmith handled the second half of a back-to-back after Jake Oettinger defeated the Oilers on Tuesday. The 34-year-old DeSmith put in a good effort, letting two leads slip away before making Vladislav Kolyachonok's tally with 5:44 to go in the third period stand as the game-winner. Overall, DeSmith is up to 5-1-2 with a 2.20 GAA and a .919 save percentage over eight starts in the backup role for Dallas this year. He should continue to be a viable streaming option in fantasy whenever he gets the nod.

  • Petr Mrazek G | ANA

Ducks' Petr Mrazek: Takes loss against Canucks

Mrazek stopped 23 of 27 shots in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Canucks. The fifth goal was an empty-netter.

Mrazek continues to struggle in limited action, though this was his third start in six games. The 33-year-old will likely see an uptick in ice time while Lukas Dostal (upper body) is hurt. Mrazek got some lucky wins earlier in the year but is now 3-3-0 with a 3.69 GAA and an .881 save percentage over six starts. The Ducks' next game is Friday at home versus the Kings.

  • Canucks' Nikita Tolopilo: Escapes Anaheim with win

Tolopilo stopped 37 of 41 shots in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Ducks.

It wasn't easy or pretty, but Tolopilo was just good enough for the Canucks to get the win. He made his first NHL start of the season, and he will probably see more action until Thatcher Demko (lower body) or Kevin Lankinen (personal) are unavailable. Tolopilo should get at least one more start during Vancouver's road trip, either in San Jose on Friday or in Los Angeles on Saturday. Jiri Patera will likely get the other start in that back-to-back set.

  • Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Falters against Montreal

Vejmelka allowed four goals on 17 shots in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Canadiens.

Vejmelka faced a season low in shots, but he ended up giving up at least four goals for the second time in four starts and the fifth time overall this year. The Canadiens' top line and power play did the bulk of the damage, and second-liner Ivan Demidov delivered the decisive goal in the third period. Vejmelka dropped to 10-6-2 with a 2.84 GAA and an .886 save percentage over 18 starts. The Mammoth begin a road trip Friday in Dallas, and that's the first half of a back-to-back that also sees them visit St. Louis on Saturday. Look for Vejmelka and Vitek Vanecek to split those starts.
