Connor Hellebuyck G | WPG
Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Set to play Tuesday
Hellebuyck is expected to guard the road goal in preseason action against Minnesota on Tuesday, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports.
Following an injury scare during Monday's practice, Hellebuyck was on the ice for Tuesday's morning skate and will make his preseason debut. The 32-year-old netminder posted a 47-12-3 record with eight shutouts, a 2.00 GAA and a .925 save percentage across 63 regular-season appearances in 2024-25.

Jakub Dobes G | MON
Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Drawing road start
Dobes is set to occupy the road blue paint during Tuesday's exhibition contest in Ottawa, per Stu Cowan.
Head coach Martin St. Louis said the plan is for Dobes to play all three periods against the Sens. The 24-year-old goaltender was perfect in limited action in his first start of the preseason Sept. 23, stopping all nine shots he faced. Dobes likely has the inside track over Kaapo Kahkonen to serve as Sam Montembeault's understudy for the 2025-26 season.

Logan Thompson G | WAS
Capitals' Logan Thompson: Starting in Columbus
Thompson will tend the road twine during Tuesday's preseason game against the Blue Jackets, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.
Head coach Spencer Carberry relayed that Thompson will play the entire game in Columbus. The Alberta native made 14 saves on 16 shots in his first tune-up appearance against the Bruins on Sept. 21. Thompson posted a dazzling 31-6-6 record with two shutouts, a 2.49 GAA and a .910 save percentage over 43 regular-season outings during his first season with Washington in 2024-25. He figures to form a tandem in goal again with Charlie Lindgren in 2025-26.

Joel Hofer G | STL
Blues' Joel Hofer: Facing Dallas
Hofer will be between the home pipes for Tuesday's exhibition matchup against the Stars, per Lou Korac of NHL.com.
Hofer surrendered two goals on 15 shots in his first start of the preseason Sept. 21. The 2018 fourth-round pick is locked into the No. 2 netminding role behind Jordan Binnington once again for the 2025-26 campaign, as Hofer penned a two-year, $6.8 million contract with St. Louis during the offseason.

Jet Greaves G | CLB
Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: Tending twine Tuesday
Greaves will protect the home crease in Tuesday's preseason game versus the Capitals, according to Aaron Portzline of The Athletic.
Greaves turned in an excellent performance in his last start of the preseason Wednesday, making 24 saves on 25 shots in a 4-1 win over Pittsburgh. This will be the 24-year-old netminder's third appearance in exhibition play, and considering Columbus has only one tune-up game left after Tuesday's matchup, this could be the last action Greaves sees until the start of the regular season.

John Gibson G | DET
Red Wings' John Gibson: Between pipes against Pittsburgh
Gibson will tend the home twine in Monday's exhibition contest against the Penguins, per Ansar Khan of MLive.com.
Gibson will draw into his second start of the preseason Monday. The veteran netminder was sharp in limited action Friday against the Penguins, turning aside 13 of 14 shots before giving way to Michal Postava. Gibson will attempt to help Detroit get into the postseason for the first time since 2016 in 2025-26.

Igor Shesterkin G | NYR
Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: In goal on Long Island
Shesterkin will patrol the road blue paint in Monday's exhibition game against the Islanders, according to Stefen Rosner of NHL.com.
This will be Shesterkin's second appearance of the preseason, as he made 10 saves on 11 shots in his first outing against the Bruins last week. The 29-year-old netminder might have his hands full Monday -- the Islanders are effectively icing their full NHL roster in this tune-up game.
-
Frederik Andersen G | CAR
Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Starting against Florida
Andersen will defend the road crease during Monday's preseason game against Florida, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
Andersen turned aside all eight shots he faced during his preseason debut against the Panthers, and he'll have another opportunity to face Florida on Monday. Once the regular season gets underway, Andersen and Pyotr Kochetkov (undisclosed) will likely split time in net.

Matt Tomkins G | TB
Oilers' Matt Tomkins: Surfaces on waivers
Tomkins was placed on waivers Monday to assign him to AHL Bakersfield.
Tomkins posted a 12-10-4 record with a 2.55 GAA and a .907 save percentage over 26 regular-season appearances for AHL Syracuse in 2024-25. If he clears waivers, he will provide the Oilers with organizational depth in case of an injury to Stuart Skinner or Calvin Pickard.

Lukas Dostal G | ANA
Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Considered day-to-day
Dostal (lower body) is day-to-day, the team announced Monday.
It's unclear if Dostal will see additional preseason action before the start of the 2025-26 campaign, but the Ducks will probably be cautious with his recovery. He will be the club's No. 1 netminder this season after posting a 23-23-7 record with one shutout, a 3.10 GAA and a .903 save percentage across 54 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. Petr Mrazek and Ville Husso will handle the goaltending duties until Dostal returns to the lineup.
