  • Hockey Club's Karel Vejmelka: Between pipes Saturday

Vejmelka will defend the road crease in Dallas on Saturday, Belle Fraser of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.

Vejmelka will make his 23rd straight start. The 28-year-old is 25-21-8 with one shutout, a 2.51 GAA and a .907 save percentage in 2024-25. Dallas is fourth in the NHL with 3.38 goals per game this season but may have some difficulty Saturday as the flu bug is going through the team's locker room.

  • Kraken's Philipp Grubauer: Starting vs. Blues

Grubauer will get the home start Saturday against St. Louis, per Sound of Hockey.

Grubauer will be between the pipes for Seattle in the team's penultimate game this season. It'll be the first start since March 31 for the 33-year-old, who has a 7-17-1 record with a 3.52 GAA and an .875 save percentage in 25 appearances this season.

  • Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Tagged with another OT loss

Vasilevskiy stopped 22 of 26 shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Red Wings.

Vasilevskiy has suffered back-to-back overtime losses after stopping 27 of 31 shots in a 4-3 defeat to the Maple Leafs on Wednesday. It's safe to say the 30-year-old star netminder isn't ending the regular season in the best run of form. He's dropped three of his last four appearances, going 1-1-2 with a 2.71 GAA and a .904 save percentage over that span, but it seems this is nothing more than a rough patch. Over his last 10 games, Vasilevskiy has gone 6-2-2 with a 1.78 GAA and an impressive .930 save percentage.

  • Alex Lyon G | BUF

Red Wings' Alex Lyon: Earns first win since late March

Lyon stopped 18 of 21 shots in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Lightning.

Lyon was beaten once in each period, and at one point, the Lightning held a 3-2 lead midway through the final frame, but the Red Wings responded to secure the win. Lyon earned his first victory since March 24, when he stopped 17 of 18 shots in a 5-1 win over Utah. His results haven't been impressive recently, though, going 3-3-0 with a 3.30 GAA and a less-than-inspiring .863 save percentage over seven appearances since the 4 Nations break.

  • Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Slated to start

Kochetkov is expected to protect the home net against the Rangers on Saturday, according to Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site.

Kochetkov has one win in his last five outings (1-4-0), allowing 21 goals on 110 shots. He has a 26-15-3 record with two shutouts, a 2.58 GAA and an .897 save percentage across 45 appearances this season. The Rangers sit 12th in the league with 3.08 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Solid showing vs. Montreal

Ullmark stopped 20 of 22 shots in Friday's 5-2 win over the Canadiens.

Ullmark has won each of his last three starts. He has won six of his past seven starts, going 6-1-0 with a 2.02 GAA and a .928 save percentage over that stretch. Ullmark has done his part while helping the Senators clinch a playoff berth.

  • Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Starting in Carolina

Shesterkin will defend the road net against the Hurricanes on Saturday, per Mollie Walker of the New York Post.

Shesterkin is coming off a 44-save performance in Thursday's 9-2 win over the Islanders. He has a 26-28-5 record with five shutouts, a 2.87 GAA and a .905 save percentage through 59 appearances this season. Carolina ranks ninth in the league with 3.22 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Canadiens' Sam Montembeault: Beaten four times Friday

Montembeault stopped 28 of 32 shots in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Senators. The fifth goal was an empty-netter with 2:16 left in the third period.

Montembeault was coming off five straight wins before this matchup, and it was also the first time he had allowed at least four goals since March 25. One bad outing shouldn't erase what the 28-year-old netminder has done in recent weeks, though. He's gone 5-3-2 with a 2.81 GAA and a .900 save percentage over his past 10 appearances.

  • Canucks' Nikita Tolopilo: Summoned from AHL

Tolopilo was called up from AHL Abbotsford on Saturday.

The move was an emergency recall, but there is no word as to whether Thatcher Demko or Kevin Lankinen are injured. Tolopilo is 18-14-2 with four shutouts, a 2.68 GAA and a .901 save percentage over 34 starts at AHL Abbotsford this season. He has yet to debut in the NHL.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

    Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Still sidelined

Sorokin (lower body) is unavailable Saturday against the Flyers, per Andrew Gross of Newsday.

Sorokin will miss a second straight game as he recovers from a lower-body injury. Marcus Hogberg will get the start against the Flyers with Tristan Lennox backing him up. The Islanders will have three remaining regular-season games after Saturday -- the earliest Sorokin could return is Sunday against the Devils.
